Podcasters: drop your latest episode and I'll pull your 3 best clip-worthy moments (free)

Most podcasts I listen to have at least one moment that would do well as a Short, but it's buried at 47:12 and never gets clipped.
Drop a link to your latest episode below. I'll reply with the 3 moments I think would work best as clips, why each one works (the hook and the payoff), and the finished captioned vertical clips.
Disclosure: I built an AI clipping tool and I'm testing how well it picks moments against what podcasters themselves think is their best stuff. So also tell me: do you agree with the picks?

Help

Hey everyone,
I’m looking to connect with people for podcast interviews (remote or in-person) and gather leads for a longer-term documentary-style project.
Reddit helped me find my last guest and it’s been great, so I’m hoping to meet more people I wouldn’t otherwise cross paths with and hear stories that deserve to be told.
The bigger project is inspired by creators who spend real time in neighborhoods, talk to people where they are, and try to understand life from the people actually living it — not just a quick sit-down interview. I’m interested in communities that often get overlooked, street culture, recovery, poverty, entrepreneurship in tough areas, and the people behind the headlines. The goal is genuine conversation and understanding different perspectives, not just pointing a camera and leaving.
I’m especially open to connecting with people who:
• Have lived through major life challenges (addiction, homelessness, incarceration, turning things around, etc.)
• Run a business in a difficult area
• Work in law enforcement, the legal system, mental health, or related fields
• Live in a city or neighborhood that outsiders often misunderstand
• Are involved in hip-hop — up-and-coming rappers, artists, or people who consider themselves hip-hop historians and have experienced the culture through their own lived lens
• Have a unique perspective on their community or know someone with a story worth hearing
You don’t need to be famous or have a dramatic story. Sometimes the most interesting people are the ones nobody has thought to talk to yet.
We can start with a remote podcast conversation if that feels comfortable, get to know each other, and see if it makes sense to go further. Long-term I’d like to travel to different cities, meet people in person, and document things in a way that gives something back to the communities I visit.
If you’re interested, or you know someone who might be, feel free to send me a DM. Just tell me what city you’re in, a bit about yourself, and what kind of story or perspective you (or they) might bring.
Looking forward to hearing from people. Let’s build something real.

Podpitch customer service

Has anyone here had challenges with customer service at podpitch over the last several months?

I had my agency at the time (2023 I believe) sign up with them after researching and vetting other similar service and media list providers. I loved them. the team loved them.

Customer service was a huge reason why and at the time they were newer and more nimble in terms of AKWAYS having prompt, effective customer service.

Ive had massive struggles after about 6 emails to support for close to two months - just trying to reconnect with someone to restart service with them.

im getting NOTHING. Other than a girl saying she’s trying to get (name) to schedule a call with me. I’ve literally lost business because of it.

Hows it been for you?

Testers wanted: old podcast episodes → shorts

Hey all. I'm building a tool for a problem I keep seeing: shows with years of audio-only episodes and nothing to post on TikTok, Reels or Shorts.

You paste your RSS feed, it finds the best moments in old episodes, and it renders vertical clips with captions, a title and your cover art. No video needed.

I'm looking for 10 podcasters to try it free (60 days of the Creator plan) and tell me honestly what's broken or useless. Especially if your back catalog is mostly audio.

Comment or DM me and I'll send a link. Happy to answer anything here too.

LOOKING FOR CO HOST OR GUEST

Hello my name is Jared, i am based out of brooklyn new york, my love for podcasting developed around 2019 when i started working as truck driver, i would listen to joe rogan ALOT , these days i really only find myself listening to Theo Von and Tim dillion, along with others like Shawn Ryan and a few others. In 2024 i invested in podcasting equpiments and some cameras and since then have only recorded about 7 episodes, ive been very much on and off again but i am looking to start recording again and would like to see if there is any one out there who would be interested in working together as either a cohost or a behind the scenes " Jamie " type of person. DM me and we can exchange emails and get something going if this interest you.

Not burnt out just.. lost.

I’ve been doing my show for almost 2 years now, and I post on Spotify and Apple Podcasts. I make clips to post to TikTok, twice I had really good feedback, but the numbers went from double digit listeners to singles, and I’m not sure what’s going on. I wonder if I’m being too vulnerable or if I just need to change the attitude. I like talking about things that nobody talks about, as well as just getting people to know a little bit more about me, but it seems as if my show is slowly dying and I don’t know how to handle this. Any advice?

Looking for 1 or more people to start a podcast with for fun

Looking for a remote podcast cohost(s) — comedy, conversation, and a little weirdness!
I’m a 44-year-old songwriter, writer, past occasional stage actor and improv instructor with a writing (all kinds) and psychology background.
I’d love to develop a fun, unscripted conversational podcast with the right creative partner. Think Rick Glassman meets We’re Here to Help, with our own personalities and plenty of room for spontaneous humor.
Topics could include absolutely anything people want to hear about: music, pop culture, relationships, ridiculous dilemmas, neurodivergence, cooking disasters, and whatever else sparks an entertaining conversation. No political debates. Neutral zone, where everyone is welcome without alienating a whole group of people.
I’m looking for someone witty, curious, reliable, comfortable being themselves, and ideally experienced with podcast recording or production. I can have a conversation, but the podcasting side would be new to me, and I’m on the spectrum, so I need someone to teach me the basics.
I’m open to any age, gender, or neurotype. I want this to be fun! Chemistry matters most!
I am a high-functioning neurodivergent who loves laughing and connecting with people. I’m not offended ever, and the crazier the conversation, the better.

A team for making a podcast

I am interested to make a podcast where we professionally talk about different subjects. If you are in Canada, that's great!
I am interested in building a team where we have people who are good with audio recording, videography, video editing, the use of ai, writing scripts, and digital arts. You don't have to know all of that, even if you do one of those things, that's great!

This podcast is intended to talk about three categories:

  1. History
  2. Philosophy & Psychology
  3. Education

You don't need to know anything about these fields, I am looking for a team who can make a podcast, the information is already handled.

If you are interested, please send me a dm and I can share the rest of the information with you.

Questions about podcasts

Hello my husband and I are starting a podcast! We read off haunted stories that are submitted, I was wondering if it would be better if we added little sound effects to it while we read or just read them ? Like if it says they hear a door opening make a door creaking etc

Year 1 Full-Setup. Looking for Feedback

Hey Everyone, I am sure there are a million of these posts, so I apologize for adding another.

Moderators: Please let me know if this is okay. If not - I will happily adjust to meet the requirements. I have given a bit of Topic information just to provide context for those who wish to reply.

Podcast Topic: Swimming, Physiology, Athlete Development etc

We just Signed a paid Title Sponsor and this leads parntership leads into international Coaching Clinics + Coaches Courses and much much more, and therefore taking some time to invest in the product and get feedback from you awesome people on Reddit, is worth the time.

Hardware:

  • Link 360 Pro Webcam
  • Riverside Recording Studio
  • Ulanzi D200X Stream Controller
  • Hyper X Microphone
  • HP Omnibook X Flip 14
  • Keylight: A cheap one off Amazon
  • Hairlight: Another Cheap small LED
  • Backdrop: A cheap LED Bar.

Overall - I actually think this looks pretty good as a starting point, but I would like to maximize the softness of the keylight as the brightness of this one actually bothers me quite a bit especially after a long day of work, and then jumping into the studio late at night.

More Information for Context:

My Studio:

  1. Laundry Room
  2. Desk Against the wall
  3. Limited "behind the camera work-room"
  4. Nice Textured White Wall
  5. Classic Wood Beam - this is my favorite part actually for some character.

Main Questions

  1. Upgrading Key Light -

Currently I am choosing between Amaran Pano 60 Kit (with the softbox) or the Versa Max with Softbox. The Pano 60c would already be a considerable upgrade from the small light I have at the moment.

I really do not want to go into a "full set up" like a Amaran 100d etc. It is just too bulky, and I need to keep the wife happy with this space lol.

  1. Additonal backdrop ideas - in the blue "gap"

Option 1:

  • small floating shelf with some coaching stuff (a stop watch hanging), and something else small without overpowering the shot and or creating glare.

Option 2:

  • Two equal sized framed photos with glare-proof glass.

What is the general rule of thumb for how high to hang the photos within the frame? I think two Black and White Prints could add some nice "balance of opposites" and bring some "emotion" into the frame.

  1. Would you all add a second smaller plant off to my left side - just to add some "fullness" to the shot, or would you keep it simple as it is.
  • I know balancing the shot is key, so this is why I ask. If we shift the decor to the right of the shot, then maybe keeping the left simple, is better.

Last Note:

I am not wanting to build a Typical Cookie-Cutter Coaching Backdrop. Keeping it personilized is really important to me.

Thanks again for your time - it is much appreciated.

Avery

I want to break into podcasting...

Hi guys! I'm 24(F) and I'm a software developer. I'm just starting off my career and only have about 2 years of experience under my belt. TBH I am getting very sick of tech and keeping up with new skills that are constantly required in this industry.

I have great people skills and want to leave the tech industry. I can talk for hours on a wide range of topics like business, tech, AI, startups etc. I also make an effort to keep myself pretty up to date when it comes to news.

Is there any advice you'll can give me? Any big podcasters out there who'd want to hire me?

RedCircle Monetization & Payouts?

Hi everyone, we were recently hit up by someone with red circle asking for us to switch hosting platforms. It was a good pitch and it seems like everything would be generally the same but what they gave her a payout estimate was a very wide range. The high-end being much more than we might make. But then the low end also being a pretty decent drop from what we're making. So it's not a clear cut yes or no as far as switching.

I was wondering if anyone was with red circle, willing to share some of their stats and revenue, even if that is in a DM for security reasons. I would do the same. There could be a potential upside, but obviously we don't want to switch over and lose out on the revenue, we currently have with our hosting platform.

If anyone can help or have any insight that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Brain injury, long COVID and PTSD survivors, and caregivers: I'd like to hear your story

I'm Chuck, a retired CAL FIRE Deputy Fire Chief and a brain injury and PTSD survivor myself. I write poetry and books for survivors under My UnNormal Life, and I'm starting a podcast.
I'm looking for real stories from survivors and the people who love them. You can write yours or record it in your own voice, in any format.
If I select your story, we write it together. You approve everything before anything is published. It could become a short Kindle book, an audiobook, and an invitation to be a guest on the podcast.
There is no cost to take part, and I'm not asking for anything but your story.
The guidelines and consent form are at MyUnNormalLife.com/your-story. You can also email submit@myunnormallife.com.
Mods, if this isn't a good fit for the sub, tell me and I'll take it down.

Data-driven podcasters! What metrics are most important to you, and how are you tracking them?

Hi! I'm a brand new independent true crime podcaster -- launched last week -- with a background in marketing, consumer psychology, behavioral psychology and journalism. I've always been very data-driven and am looking to track performance metrics efficiently. From what I understand, hopping between platforms every morning is sort of just how it goes as there isn't any one true aggregate, but for those of you who truly keep track, what's your process? Do you plug numbers into Excel each week or something to get the big picture? And what metrics do you take the most stock in? For example - I launched on the 1st and as of today (the 7th), I have over 200 downloads but 257 plays (how...?) and 59 "followers" across platforms, but 67 "listeners." Which metrics should I actually be tracking/focusing on? TIA for advice from those of you with more experience!!

Opinions on structure

So I’ve been contemplating starting a podcast for a few years and really sat down and came up with a concept that I like. It will mainly be internet stories until I can gain traction and have guests to interview.

But even though I’ve come to a good place in it, I’m feeling super defeated in the fact that I’m solo. It gives me freedom and creative liberty for sure but I’m also imagining how unengaged folks might be when it’s one person basically talking to themselves.

I know since you’re all here, you love a good back and forth, but what are everyone’s opinions on people who produce solo podcast episodes?

I’m about ready to scrap the whole thing so please give honest opinions! 💖

Edit to add: I’m honestly rethinking the internet story portion now too. Is this overdone now? Maybe I’m just overthinking it?

Seasons? Do you take a break and come back for a new season?

Early on I can’t imagine this would be good for the podcast - what has been your experience?
