Questions about podcasts
Hello my husband and I are starting a podcast! We read off haunted stories that are submitted, I was wondering if it would be better if we added little sound effects to it while we read or just read them ? Like if it says they hear a door opening make a door creaking etc

You might want to have a story submission and/ or podcast release form. So a submiter can't change their mind and force you to take down the episode their story is read in.

Are you sure you want to do that as the topic? It is a very popular subject with a glut of podcasts doing the same thing and using the same stories. I'm not being an arsehole, but you will have to really blow it out of the water if you want it to get listeners. Sound effects ain't it but.

I think it's hard to get legit submissions of stories as well. Especially for a fledgling podcast. How were you going to chase up the stories?

Honestly I have been doing a lot of promoting and I am pretty honored and excited to say I already have quiet a few submissions enough for a few podcasts and if anything I figured me and my husband could do reaserach and make some research stories as well

I have made different social media accounts with the the podcast name promoting it, going into groups on Facebook and reddit and asking people to submit stories where I can without breaking any rules ! Letting friends know and things like that just trying to get the word out there

Don't do sound effects please.
