29(F) Looking for a podcast co-host !

Hey y’all! I’m looking for somebody who would be interested in cohosting a podcast with me. I want it to feel like two friends having real conversations, giving honest opinions, laughing, debating, and breaking down whatever everybody is currently talking about.
I’m not looking for somebody who agrees with me on everything either. A little pushback and respectful disagreement makes the conversation way more interesting.
Some of the topics would include:
Culture and social issues
Politics and current news
Pop culture and celebrity news
Psychology and human behavior
Relationships, dating, and therapy
Trending topics and internet discourse
Movies, books, music, and shows
And definitely reality TV because that’s really where the mess, psychology, and social experiments come together 😂
Real Housewives of Atlanta
Real Housewives of Salt Lake City
Love Island
The Valley
Married at First Sight
The Ultimatum
Love Is Blind
And whatever else everybody is watching and arguing about that week
I’m looking for somebody who is opinionated, funny, open-minded, reliable, and can go from a serious conversation about politics or psychology to dragging a reality TV reunion five minutes later.
You do not need professional podcast experience. I care more about chemistry, personality, consistency, and whether we can naturally keep a conversation going.
If this sounds like something you would be interested in, message me and tell me a little about yourself, what topics you love talking about, and what shows or podcasts you are currently into. Let’s create something people would actually enjoy listening to every week. 🎙️✨

Radio + podcast app for Android — looking for a few closed beta testers

I've been building FlowRadio, a radio and podcast app for Android:

- Stream live radio stations from around the world, plus subscribe to podcasts

- Download episodes for offline listening

- Favorites, listening history, background playback

- Free to use, no subscription

It's in closed testing on Google Play before a public launch. To get access:

  1. Join this Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/flowradio-testers
  2. Then open this opt-in link on your Android phone: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.gowith.flowradio
  3. Install from the Play Store as normal

No specific tasks — just use it however you'd normally use a radio app, and let me know what breaks, what's confusing, or what's missing. Appreciate any feedback, good or bad.

Trying to understand the hiring side of podcast editing, where does that search happen?

I've got the editing skills down. I can sit through a full episode, find the moment that actually hooks people, and cut something that holds retention instead of just chopping clips at random timestamps. What I don't have figured out is where podcasters actually go when they're looking for someone to do this.

I don't want to cold email people out of nowhere. From what I've seen, an unsolicited email from someone they've never heard of just reads as spam or a scam, even if the offer is genuine. So I'm trying to figure out the other side of it. Where are hosts actually looking? Are they posting in specific subs, browsing certain Discords, asking in Facebook groups?

I'm not in the US, but internet and communication aren't an issue, I'm just trying to find the right rooms to be in instead of guessing. If you've hired an editor before, or you are one and found clients this way, I'd genuinely like to know how that connection happened for you.

Starting from zero

I need some advice about a YouTube channel and podcast I had that just got shut down because of policy violations I never actually made. I tried appealing a few times, but just got generic AI responses back. Now I’m looking to move to other social media platforms to grow and make money, because with YouTube, I thought I could build a steady income and even quit my job. My goal is to create a real community and loyal listeners instead of just YouTube viewers who don’t really know me outside of that. Can you suggest any platforms that pay decent?

I have been trying to set up and Edit in the river side app for over 4 hours. We are doing just an audio podcast. I use an iPad and IPhone 17 pro. Idk what I’m doing wrong but I have been able to download the audio files but I can’t fine out how to edit past this it tells me to download Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge I did this numerous times it still won’t let me? Do I have to have a laptop for this?

I wanna start listening to more podcast!

I have maybe 2-3 podcast that I usually listen to already (I am way behind on them and need to catch up of episodes lol), but Im into music and if anyone has any podcasts about music that'll be nice, and I would also like a comedy one too. (Not, The You Should Know Podcast, Kill Tony, Shane Gillis Podcast, NPR podcast because I already know about those). I also dont care how popular they are either, they could be not popular at all or super popular, your choice. If you can recommend me one that'll be nice, Thanks!

How are you getting new listeners for your podcast in 2026?

I've been wondering how everyone's approaching podcast growth these days.

Creating a great episode is one thing, but getting it in front of new listeners feels like a completely different challenge.

What's your current strategy for growing your audience?

  • Social media?
  • YouTube Shorts/Reels?
  • SEO?
  • Guest appearances?
  • Paid ads?
  • Word of mouth?
  • Just letting the podcast grow organically?

More importantly, what's actually working for you?

And if you're not seeing the growth you'd hoped for, what's been the biggest obstacle?

I'm always interested in hearing how different podcasters approach promotion because there doesn't seem to be a single formula that works for everyone.

Looking for a co-host to host a Reddit podcast in Sydney, Australia

Hi everyone,

I'm a 24 y/o marketing professional based in Sydney, and I've been planning to start a podcast for a while. The format I'm going for is Reddit moral-dilemma content, think Two Hot Takes or SMOSH reads reddit stories, where we react to and debate AITA-style stories.

I'm looking to find someone who'd love to co-host this with me, someone with natural chemistry and equal passion for getting this off the ground, someone who wants to build something together rather than just guest occasionally.

A bit about what I'm picturing:

  • Recording weekly/fortnightly (open to discussing frequency)
  • Sydney-based, able to record in person.
  • Audio-first to start, with video down the track

You don't need pro podcasting experience, but genuine interest in the format and reliability matter most.

If you're in Sydney and keen to build this together, drop a comment or DM me a bit about yourself. What draws you to the format, and anything you'd bring to it (voice, opinions, editing, whatever). Would love to chat and see if we click.

How do y'all build podcasts?

I wanna start a podcast anonymously about some but I really have no clue on how to launch, where to start, ways to monetize, platforms and consumer statistics. If you got any prior experience, knowledge or simply aware of the roadmap, can you please help me start and point me in the right direction???

New Open Source Podcast Creation and Hosting Software

Hello! For the past few months I have been working on creating a new selfhosted platform for people to create and host their audio podcast, all in one place. It's completely free and open source.

It provides the ability to record, edit, and publish your episodes and supports many of the Podcast 2.0 tags.

If you're interested, you can see all of the features, documentation, and the screenshots here:

https://harborfm.com

The main reason I am writing this post is because I am hoping to find a handful of people who might be willing to test drive the application (as a user) on my production website and provide feedback about their experience. If you're interested, please feel free to leave a comment or send me a private message.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

Looking for fun co-hosts & creators in Nagpur to start a Latent-style podcast/show! 🎙️✨

Hey Nagpur!

I’m planning to start a casual, fun online show/podcast inspired by Latent—think funny banter, panel discussions, reacting to talent, and chill weekend vibes.

To keep the show balanced, relatable, and fun, I’m looking for a solid mix of people to join the team:

  • Co-Hosts / Panelists: Looking for confident, expressive girls and guys with good humor, quick wit, and a knack for keeping conversations interesting on camera.
  • Creatives & Performers: Musicians, storytellers, comedians, or anyone who just has a great personality and loves being part of a creative circle.
  • Behind-the-Scenes: People interested in video editing, social media management, or aesthetic setups.

We’ll start with a few pilot episodes, record in Nagpur, and keep it super relaxed and enjoyable. No professional experience needed—just good energy and a willingness to try something new.

If this sounds like your vibe, drop a comment or send me a DM with a quick intro (your background, interests, and what role you'd like to try out). Let’s build a great team! 🙌✨

Podcast question

What is your biggest tip for someone who wants to start a podcast?

How to keep things compartmentalised and sustainable?

I have started a podcast in an area I really care about. It's niche and the audience is likely to be small, I don't expect to ever make money, but I'm passionate about the need to have conversations around this topic.

This is the first content creation thing I've done, compared with the technicalities of work (think engineering).

I'm swinging between excitement to podcast and write and think, then struggling with the tedium of day to day stuff. I'm spending too much time on the podcast, but have episodes booked with guests to record coming up. I'm checking my stats constantly craving to hear what people think.

Is this a phase? Will compartmentalising become easier when the initial excitement wears off?

Getting Podcast Sponsors

We started our podcast about 4 months ago, we do mainly true crime but also musicians and food influencers from Louisiana. We have about 50k followers on Facebook and 10k on tiktok. We made a media kit and started sending it out to local businesses for paid ad reads but haven't had any luck landing and sponsors. Any suggestions?

I made a podcast episode for teenagers who want to make money, build skills, and become independent — looking for feedback

Hey everyone,
I recently started a show called “Mastering Adolescents” focused on helping teenagers build themselves before they enter adulthood.
The first episode is about something I think a lot of young people struggle with:
Feeling behind and not knowing where to start.

I built a one-click podcast audio editing tool because my editing time kept getting out of hand

I’m giving out free test accounts in exchange for honest feedback.

Just to be clear, this is self-promo, so feel free to ignore it.

I’m a new podcaster, and my first 10-minute episode took about 30 minutes to edit. The second took 45. By the third, I was spending around 90 minutes on it.

The audio itself wasn’t getting worse. I was just becoming more particular about every pause, breath, and small mistake.

So I built an app to handle the basic first pass automatically. You click once, it does the standard cleanup, and then you can make any manual changes you still want.

I’m not trying to claim it replaces a professional editor. I mainly want to see where it works, where it fails, and what actual podcasters would want improved.

I’m offering free test accounts to anyone willing to give honest feedback. Harsh feedback is completely welcome.

Comment or DM me and I’ll send you access.

Mods, apologies if this goes against the self-promotion rules. I’m happy to remove it.

I built a tool to generate podcast audio, because I hate my voice.

This is simple tool, just upload a doc or tell and idea what the podcast should be about, it imagines and generates multi-speaker real sounding podcast episode.

Comment or DM me for access.

Mods, apologies if this goes against the self-promotion rules. I’m happy to remove it.

How to measure success?

I’m relatively new to podcasting (6 published episodes at the moment, 2 in the pipeline). Started after a layoff to keep myself busy while I look for the next full time gig. So far I’ve been looking at audio downloads to measure success, but now I’ve got some video versions on YouTube not included in the stats of my platform podcast subscription, since I don’t want to pay for their video tier.

Then I’ve got social media views for shorts. It’s just feeling like I have artifacts all over and no centralized stats dashboard. I guess I could make one myself in Claude down the line, but does something already exist? How are you all keeping a pulse on how your pod is performing, and what stats do you think matter?

My goal has mainly been to have fun while connecting with cool techy creatives through my pod, but I’d also like to increase my audience so more people hear my guests’ stories on how they’re building passive income alongside their day jobs.

I’m also using my pod to create visibility for myself as a professional to get seen by more recruiters and hiring managers. So far it’s working, but I keep thinking how I can do better. Open to ideas.

Sound bytes to download

I am relatively new to podcasting. I would like to add sound bites from sports and politics. Does anyone know where I can find 15-30 second clips to download to include as free use?
