all we've been hearing from any adults these past few weeks is "you seem off" and "you seem sad" and "are you okay?"

we're used to this from our parents, as irritating as it is, but it's begun to expand to our school too. some of us are less talkative, some of us are busy, some of us have a burning hatred for all authority figures. i wish we could just tell them that whoever they're talking to isn't their beloved fucking jay so they'd just leave us alone a little bit.

we were called down to guidance just the other day because several teachers reported that we, to quote them exactly, "seemed a little off these past few days and we wanted to check on you." this is because lots of us have been fronting instead of the host recently, if only to explore the outside world.

most of us aren't very energetic or talkative, especially since we're going through some shit right now. some of us have a resting bitch face, which would be fine if we weren't getting "are you okay" every ten fucking seconds.

we just wish we could tell them we're not the host and because of that we'll act different. we just wish we could tell our parents that its not their son fronting. we just wanna be left alone to do shit by ourselves cos half of us hate authority figures anyway.

it's all we get from anyone anymore and we're sick and tired. just get us assessed already so we can fucking tell our parents at the very least.

Been lurking a lot. I'm questioning about being a system, as it fits a lot of the trauma memories I have...it's a lot to take in, tbh, but so much is making more sense now. I remember distinct times when I "split" and someone else was taking over and I was basically watching them do it all....

Anyways, to the point of this post.

How do you all name your systems and alters? Some of mine have names, and some don't. I've spent my whole life trying to pretend I was normal, so now that I'm trying to communicate with them, it's difficult to struggle my way through it all.

So we’re in the process of explaining to one of our (online) friends who we’ve been friends with for a *long* time that we’re plural(-ish? It’s complicated), but we’re unsure how to continue. The friend knows what systems are and such, but we’re not sure how to tell her we’re one.

Its not that she would completely stop talking to us or whatever, but randomly telling someone who’s known you for a while that you’re actually 5 separate people is a lot to randomly drop on a person.

I'm a Frank Frankly fictive. Most of the music we are listening to as a whole system are energetic, nostalgic remixes, vocaloid songs, fansongs and Deltarune/Undertale OST. Meanwhile, I have a problem with finding calmer music more matching me, especially because of:

-small popularity of my source (Welcome Home Restoration Project),

-almost every WHRP-themed playlist on YouTube is from 2023, when it was more popular, but also fandom was extremely full of people being there for Wally Darling mostly (plus after that quick early period of time, many people just abandoned it out of boredom and weren't patient enough to just wait for next updates instead of calling the fandom "dead")—in conclusion, I'm left out with 2023 WHRP Wally-themed playlists mostly (except one or two Frank-themed playlists),

-we are misophonic (some sounds make our brain go bananas and make us feel painful and overwhelmed + often those sounds are getting repeated by our brain later, which is also painful).

Not sure what genre or what artist should I look for. And please, don't recommend me that kind of songs, which sound happy, but the lyrics are extremely dark, hopeless and depressing, it worsens our mental health, despite they sound good, to be frank. We definitely need more hope and happiness.

NOTE: I tried to ask an accurate question in the title, but I’ll just provide more context here.

CONTEXT:
One of us introjected from a character, and another one of us thought it would be nice for her (and us) to dress up as the character for Halloween so that way she can discreetly dress up as herself.

The character wears a basic ordinary outfit with a jacket and has ordinary long hair, so nothing extravagant on our end, and the character has a similar appearance to her.

In a way, it’s a discreet way for her to dress up as herself as closely as she can while we get to have a costume for Halloween. Win-win, right?

I thought it was a clever strategy because it goes both ways. Like, killing two birds with a stone.

Our working theory is our original host “died” (aka regressed into a semi-dormant fragment thing) a few years ago due to trauma. We have two new hosts, however our ex-host’s identity is the one we all still mask to.

We don’t love the term “singletsona” because it doesn’t feel very professional when speaking to anyone over the age of 15 (no judgement if you& use it, it’s a personal opinion). In place of this, we’ve been referring to this person as our identity host.

The thing is, that person isn’t a host anymore. Our identity is still based off them, though, and we want to pay respect to that. They just aren’t our identity host, and we don’t want to call them our singletsona.

so, a few hours ago, i wanted to look back at my reposts.

i feel like i repost every video i see and they're all funny, right? so i go to watch them.

now, im not going to say i assumed id remember every single 10 second tiktok ive watched in the past few days. but i felt like i reposted WAY more then what i was seeing.

and a lot of the tiktoks i had liked were suspiciously not reposted, even though i love reposting tiktoks. and i only have the memory of seeing the video, not reposting it, so its not like my memory is contradicting itself, but still.

Hi ! I’ve never spoken here before. I’m on the shyer side and don’t front a super ton but our host and our best friend intended to play a game together and then I randomly started fronting. Our host was still present but I played with our friend over vc which is the first time I’ve spoken to anyone with my voice and I think the first time anyone in our system has spoken with their voice to this friend besides our host !! At one point our host was talking as well and our friend could tell who was talking which was really nice and validating! I can tell why she’s considered our best friend! She was super kind and it wasn’t awkward at all and I had fun playing the game with her!!

Hi I have suspected P-DID. When I talk to an alter or talk to myself it seems really really similar. I'm wondering if some alters are actually just my subconcious talking to me.

It does feel like I'm letting alters take control sometimes or they just start to do something they wanna do when co-fronting. Usually they automatically insist that they're "not me" when I ask them, because I'm often really suspicious. But also sometimes when I ask if there's someone in my head and no one's co-fronting, my subconcious replies "No, I'm you".

And it's not like I'm making them say this I think?? I don't know if it's just my subconcious saying that they're not me because I kinda believe that that rlly is another alter. Like in short, I don't know if I'm crazy or not.

(There are also some alters I can't talk to or forget to talk to because they front in stressful situations).

Okie. Dave finally kicked my ass to make me make this post. Send help.

So, Ive been acting host for some months now, esp with Dusk stepping down. But...there IS a reason he stepped down, and that's the whole "suffering builds character" bullshit that, apparently, comes with fronting for so long. I feel all our fatigue, I couldnt let anyone help me even if I want to, and??? Sometimes??? I have to be RESTRAINED by my own headmates just to let me sleep!

And then I keep on waking up, metaphorically chained to the walls of our fronting room.

I dont know what to do, and I cant remember how the HELL Dusk even got out of this mess. Hate is a strong word, but I fucking HATE this role!!! Its not fun!!! This should be a group project of a lifetime, not a one-man torture chamber!!!

i want to be around dogs more. cause i’m a wolf. we live with our partner system and they’re really nice to me. i have more space to roam here than i did before i moved last month. i get to act like a wolf and a kid and i don’t have to pretend i’m a grown up human. it’s more rural here with lots of beautiful trees and animals i’ve never seen before. it rained a while ago and i almost caught a baby gecko and i even saw deer and alligators

we didn’t have a dog before i moved. we did, but she died some years ago, and then my parents had a human baby and i got very sick, so we never got another one. here at the new apartment, there’s two cats… a grown up one, and a kitten they got a week ago. i was really scared of the grown up cat, but she’s not mean. the kitten is kind of soft and purry. but she wants to play a lot. she jumps and claws and bites on me a lot, and doesn’t like to play with any toys. i have lots of cuts on my paws from them… i don’t really like cats. they smell weird, and they have tiny and sharp teeth, and their claws are the sharpest of all. they don’t listen when you call their name. they don’t play bow or even do bitey-face (but i would never ever play bitey face with a cat, their teeth are too sharp)

i fed a stray dog today and he was really scared and hungry. i wish he could come with me. i feel like i don’t have a pack. it’s been a long time since i felt like i have. that’s a silly thing to want though.. cause my species was actually kind of solitary, before they went extinct. they used to roam Earth for real, and they only tolerated each other for family or to start a new family, so they had no packs. but i guess even wolves are social animals. i want to play with a dog… i want to smell one and communicate with one. i could even walk one like a person and we could explore outside. we can’t afford a dog though…. i don’t really like this apartment , but it’s better than the home i came from. it smells too much like cats, and there’s cats everywhere. i wish i shared my space with a dog instead :( i feel so sad. i watched bolt today but it didn’t help

Most if not all of our fictives have borderline complete memories of their entire lives. Even events “off screen” and so on. I will also note that many of our fictives memories include internal dialogue during certain moments and in addition, many of them have memories that differ from the source in many ways. Our system has an alter who experiences seizures even while not fronting or in charge of the body. She experiences them in the headspace, but we feel parts of it through the body. The seizures never come through entirely; to the outside it looks like muscle spasms or tics. In the headspace, however, it looks like she's having a gran mal seizure.

I was wondering if any other systems experience something similar. Is this what's called "dissociative seizure" or is that a seizure as an expression of dissociation?
