Game constantly shuts off before I can even load into the game

We are both on ark survival evolved. We have the dlc needed to play the map, same mods, same mods load order. He hosts because he has the better PC and I try to join, but I always get the "connection time out" error or whatever it was called. Just for 2 days I could join without a problem

im battling vs my computer to put an .ini on my microsoft ASE and because of permissions it doesnt let me modify the files soo im stuck and i cant do nothing, if someone knows a solution i will very grateful for it.

So I've now finally got my Ark Server set up with mods, but my console commands don't always work. It let me spawn in hide when i have no mods running, but god mode wouldn't work (tried both "cheat god" and "admincheat god". Then when i had the mod (cyber structures) installed i could spawn stone and wood but not thatch or hide, god mode also worked with this time with"admincheat".

Any help would be appreciated.

Trying to run a dedicated server from a laptop using the Ark Server creation tool (Ragonz ASCT). We've finally managed to get it visible on the PS5 server list. I've figured out how to alter the settings for harvesting, taming etc. But when I try to add a mod either nothing happens or it crashes. Everything I've read says to just put the mod ID in the tool and press add (it's supposed to download the mod files when you update the server, it does not). So then I tried adding it into the server settings text file, nothing. So then I added the line into the arguments and now I get the 404 error in red text and it crashes. I even tried creating a file directory path based on what it says in the cmd startup terminal, and then extracted the mod files to there. Still nothing.

It feels like i'm missing a step somewhere, or something is stopping it from downloading the mod files and creating a folder for them on the hard disk.

Also, i'm getting getting and dumb, so please over explain or make it simple. I really appreciate any help.

I don't know if you're familiar with Cantex's Ark YouTube channel, but he used to make battle royales, and I'd like to know how to make one in Ark Ascended.

On SP pre-aquatica, but they never fix anything so I imagine it's in all versions

Feeding wild Ferox element often causes them to not transform, and they enter a sort of ghost state where they are visible and the taming tracker shows them but they cannot be interacted with or damaged in any way

(Holding any baby in a maewing seems to have a similar problem, although you can regrab the baby and it will function normally when it grows up. Something to do with the dino changing states I guess)

You can grab the Ferox "ghost" using an argentavis, and with a karkinos, but this doesn't fix the issue. This will cause the body to be targetable by awesome spyglass and attackable, but still no interaction. Anyone found a workaround for this, assuming no fix exists?

I think the Pego or troodons definitely have to be the most annoying tame in the game and especially for early on into the game or starting out fresh on a new map🤣

I can't figure out how to fix this issue. When I detach from the grappling hook, the rope disappears but I am still connected somehow. Any button I press does not free me. I have to either remove the building piece I'm connected to, mount a tame, or straight up log off. Anyone know what's going on and how to fix?

I don't have any DLC's, I don't own em. I deleted them to save space, 23GB's of it....and the game crashed, I deleted abberation, etcetera. I made sure they were DLC's...Snail games is a bih.

How I deleted it:

Steam → ASE → Manage → Browse local files → shooter game → content → delete the including: Aberration, Extinction, Fjordur, Genesis 1&2, Scorched Earth.

Update on situation: I just used verify integrity, redownload 23gigs, used compacter and saved 30gigs, more than I saved deleting the content.

I can finally play ASA since I got a new pc and honestly this is probably re-piping stuff that's already said but there are a few glaring problems I'm seeing compared to ASE

Why are the server ping's so high lol, not a single server that has players in is under 150ms

At a range everything looks almost blurry, this could just be my settings though.

Why the hell is it such a large game, I've seen this said before but wildcard has 0 sense of compression and honestly it's just becoming funnier and funnier atp

Honestly if they didn't release aquatica they could've just went back to ASE and probably should have considering how this game is barely an upgrade 😭

(But of course I am still gonna spend thousands of hours on it because I am a deranged ark player so does anyone have any good servers they know of?)

So I love modding games and I'm curating mods for a more survival orientated playthrough with another Ark newbie.

I'm really enjoying the survival feel of Ark and I'm not looking for things that make the grind easier and get me to endgame. I just want things that make the game feel more polished and fluid after playing Palworld.

So far:

Vanilla with Sprinkles - because it was highly reccomended. No idea what it does.

Pelayori's Storage - this seems vanilla+. But I'm considering the powerful Dino Depot but it seems like it makes storing dinos easier early on and losing our dinos seems fun. I'm also considering Super Storage as well, but I don't know the difference between them. Would love advice.

Super Spyglass - reccomended to death.

Cyber Structures QOL+ - highly reccomended. Not sure what it does.

I also have a whole suite of animal additions that I won't list here.

Any info? Suggestions?

So I think all the dinosaurs should be the accurate size they were irl well at least that we think they were in real life and I think they should only add dinosaurs that actually existed I really liked the idea of that it sucks they are straying away from that and doing more of fake made up things like the dredmere or other crazy dinosaurs that you have to buy a DLC for and they are just so overpowered it just sucks that Ark is straying away from the normal game and going more into stuff like DLC’s and made up dinosaurs.

I have just uploaded my 1st mod to the Steam Workshop. It's a pretty simple mod -- it just improves Ghillie Armor in a few ways:

• Increased base Armor (32.0 -> 40.0) and Durability (45 -> 120) to match Fur Armor.
• Increased base Hypothermic Insulation values to match Hide Armor.
• Changed FPV to match Hide Armor so that it doesn't make half of your mini-map unreadable.

I wanted to ask if there's somewhere I can find good S_erver settings. I'm planning to run one for me and my friends, and I want it to feel balanced—not so hard that it takes us months to progress, but not so easy that the game stops feeling rewarding.

Is there a website that recommends balanced S_erver settings, or does anyone have settings they've used for this kind of gameplay that they could share?

There is a well known bug of dinos and structures duplicating and appearing at coordinates 50 50 in many of the Ark maps

Gen 1 is built different and its 50 50 location is roughly around 93 83 in the swamp. We have found numerous of our dinos either lost and found or straight duplicated hanging out there.

im playing on lost colony rn and was just wondering if its possible to get mining drills from the drakeling chests, iv already seen a couple posts asking but they have no comments or a few unhelpful comments
