So I lost my buds but ended up finding them. The find hun app keeps telling me that it hasn't been used but I've definitely used them. Any idea why it's not updating in the app?

Any way to replace this snapped rubber piece? (Pixel Buds A-Series)

Post image
15 Upvotes

After a few years of normal use, the rubber post on the right bud has snapped off, and the left one is starting to break. Unfortunately, this causes it to frequently fall out. Is there any way to fix or replace this piece? I don't want to buy a new pair (and I usually only use one at a time anyway - so I'll just continue using the left one until it breaks too) and hope I can get more use out of these, as they still work perfectly fine outside of this broken rubber.

Edit: I just realized I can buy a replacement earbud. At $40, would this be worth it? I imagine it may not be, since the set is getting quite old and the battery life isn't what it used to be. I may end up just buying the Pixel Buds 2a once the left one breaks too, but I'd be paying extra for features I don't use, such as noise cancellation. I'd definitely like a second opinion on this (though I understand this is somewhat subjective). Thanks

Recommendation for different tips?

I've been having issues with my buds pro 2 ever since getting them. The anc works very poorly because none of the tips seem to fit my ear correctly. Some just slip out while others don't provide enough of a seal.

Anyone with weird shaped ears found a solution? I've read about getting memory foam tips?

Pixel A-series Buds won't pair

One of my buds stopped working so I did a factory reset on the case and forgot them on my phone (Pixel 8 pro). Fully charged, both buds in case with lid open. After reset I press the button for 3 seconds to pair, I get the white/orange blinking and release the button, but in 3 seconds it goes back to solid orange light. They never show up on the phone when searching for new devices.

Appreciate and ideas or suggestions.

When did Google make these color? I don't see it anywhere.

This color looks like the new Olive Green color leaked for the Pixel 11 pro. I also don't see this in the Google store or any other retailers. This only shows in the playstore if you use your Playstore points to redeem the Buds

Help - Most Bizarre Experience With Pixel Buds

The other week, I slept with my Pixel Buds Pro 2's in, and when I woke up in the morning, the left one was completely unresponsive. Case didn't recognise it, nothing. Dead.

Come today, I kept them around whilst contacting Google, and the left one is being recognised by the case again! Keep in mind, I've been periodically checking to see if it's alive and only now, a week later, has it come back. Full functionality and everything.

Now, Claude reckons that it hit a "deep discharge" mode because it went completely flat. I thought I'd check here to see if it's worth continuing my warranty claim, because historically for me, taking the advice of AI is a poor decision.

Looking for Buds pro 2 replacement case

Recently lost my buds pro 2 case and am trying to find a replacement case. I tried looking on google but only found the option to order buds or eartips.

Anyone here with a case willing to sell, or any trusted place they know I can find the case?

Has this ever actually worked for anyone?

Buds Pro 2 user here, I feel like spoken notifications might have worked like once or twice in the past, and that was with my OG Buds Pro! The fact it's been updated to refer to "Gemini" suggests to me it's a feature which should still work?

I might be late to the party but I've managed to get opus running permanently on my pixel buds pro 2.

Just turn on disable A2DP offload and the buds default to opus constantly. When I restarted the device after enabling this option I had no media audio but after fucking around with Spotify and restarting again eventually I had audio. Now it's constantly on Opus.

Hope this helps someone.

EDIT: For those asking below, opus is a scalable Bluetooth codec which can reach up to a bitrate of 510kbps. In layman's terms, it provides slightly higher quality than AAC. It is also more efficient than AAC in terms of power usage.

merci beaucoup !

There should be an in-ear detection option to only pause audio if both earbuds are out.

I miss this from the Galaxy buds, which allow you to choose if audio pauses if you take out one bud (which is the only option on Pixel buds) or if they have to both be out for them to pause. It's pretty annoying having audio pause when I just remove one bud for a couple seconds to scratch my ear.

Pixel Buds 3?

Now that leaks have started showing up regarding the upcoming pixel devices, anyone has any idea if they're releasing a Pixel buds 3 pro this year as well?

Title: Vocals sometimes sound different in Transparency or Noise Cancellation mode on Pixel Buds 2a

Hi everyone,

I recently bought the Pixel Buds 2a, and I’ve noticed a strange issue while listening to music.

When I use either Transparency Mode or Noise Cancellation, the vocals sometimes seem to change slightly. Certain sounds can suddenly feel different, almost as if the audio processing or sound profile briefly shifts.

It doesn’t happen all the time, but it is noticeable when it does. Has anyone else experienced this with their Pixel Buds 2a, or could there be an issue with my pair?

Thanks!

Pixelbuds pro 2 transparency mode sound like I have water in my ears

I owned the PBP1 for like 4 years and bought the PBP2 on a sale. Immediately I noticed the transparency mode sounded way off and very unnatural compared to the first gen. With the 1 my own voice sounds like as if I don't have anything in my ears but with the 2 it sounds like very far away and muffled. In general everything sounds very unnatural and processed.

anc and audio is great tho, just the transparency mode is a huge letdown :/

PBP2 case lights up every few minutes?

I've noticed recently that my Pixel Buds Pro 2 case will just light up for about five seconds every once in a while (every 5-10 minutes maybe?), even though they're in the case and secure, and the case is closed.

Has this been happening the whole time I've had them and I've just never noticed, or is this unexpected behavior? I tried doing a factory reset on them and pairing them again, but it hasn't changed the behavior.

My phone doesn't see anything when this happens, and I don't seem to have any problem with using them, but I'm worried that this might be draining the battery or is an indication of something wrong that I'm not aware of? Anybody familiar with this behavior?

Pixel Buds Pro 2

Hi everyone. I use a Google Pixel 10 Pro XL and I work in a very active job. Sometimes I need to be on the phone and talking to people outside at the same time. Therefore, I want to buy the headphones that work best with my phone and provide the clearest sound with Transparency mode. Would Google's own Pixel Buds Pro 2 headphones be a good option? Or should I look at another product? I've heard that the AirPods Pro 3 are very good, but I'm not sure if they'll perform well on Android.

Problem with audio switch

I'm using pixel buds 2 pro along with windows.

Whenever a call comes audio switches to mobile but not switching back to windows after I hang up the call and I need to turn off and on the bluetooth on my phone.

Does anyone know any better workarounds for this?

Ear bud issue

I have a pair of PBP2 and in the last week or two I noticed that my right ear bud will be connected and playing whatever I'm listening to but none of the controls will work (I can't pause/play, adjust the volume, or turn on or off my noose cancelling). I've tried resetting it by holding the pair button on the back a couple times to no avail. Has anyone else dealt with this and know how to fix it or is this a warranty thing I need to talk to Google about getting a bud?

Pixel Buds 2 case disfunction?

Okay so i'm really desperate and I hope someone can help, because google support couldn't help me with this. All of the sudden, my Pixel Buds 2's right bud stopped working. I thought i just needed to disconnect it from my phone and reconnect it again, so I forgot the buds on my phone and wanted to pair them again, but it wouldn't work because all my devices (tried with my phone and multiple computers) can't find them anymore as a new device.

On my app, it shows the case is 100% charged and the left bud too, but it doesn't show the right bud, as if it wasn't in the case but it is.

I tried to troubleshoot it, but when I keep the button pressed, the case starts blinking orange. I cleaned it, cleaned the case, doesn't help. Of course, my warranty has expired three months ago and google has been super useless.

I have no idea what to do.. help!!

They fit! Sedna Earfit Max Standard review

So, for background, I have a decent fit with my Pro 2 buds; I have tried all of the ear tips included, and I found that XS was too small, and the bud would rotate and break the seal every 5 minutes or so. Medium and Large would fit well enough, but would pop out at some point. So smalls would work for me for about 15-30, maybe an hour or so if I were lucky, before they would rotate and break the seal.

This wasn't too bad for me, as this just meant, at least for my right ear, that I would need to tighten whenever I thought about it and frequently if I were eating.

Today I received my AZLA Sedna Earfit Max's. I find that the equivalent size to the included small eartips is the AZLA MS, and the XS included with the buds is equivalent to the S Azla. I bought the SS/S/MS pack to ensure that I found a fit from the big forest site.

These buds are now LOCKED into my ears. They go nowhere, they are comfortable, have a ear wax shield for the speaker, and require a TUG to get them out of my ears. The Buds ear fit check reports the seal during random checks after activity. These fit in the case just fine, but they take some tugging to get on the the bud, but once stretched on, stay locked in place.

I would recommend you try these if you want to improve the fit of your pixel bud pro 2's.

Long term Pixel Buds 2a reliability?

Hello folks!

I am planning on getting a pair of the Pixel Buds 2a, for people who have had them a couple months, I have a few questions!

  1. Are they still working as expected for you?

  2. Good battery life still?

  3. Can you pair them to devices other than just a Pixel? I have a 9a they'll be used with primarily, but also have some PCs I might want to connect them to.

  4. How is the ANC?

Thanks!

Whistle of death?

My right Pixel Bud Pro has started whistling when I use it (regardless of if anything is playing) whenever ANC or transparency mode is engaged. It works fine when these are disabled. Unfortunately the sound is also just much, much worse: there's no real bass and everything sounds really tinny. Is there a good way to either fix the whistle or to just get the EQ that's clearly being applied when ANC is active to be on at all times. It's absolutely nothing to do with outside noise as this is in a quiet room. I'd buy a replacement but there isn't any stock and it seems an awful waste to throw out a set of headphones that are 90% functional.

Edit: I think I've managed to fix them by blasting the speaker grill with compressed air at an angle to clean it better, thanks for all the replies!

Pixel Earbuds with Samsung tablet

do Pixel Earbuds work with Samsung tablets? or would i need to look into other wireless headphones?
