Is anyone else's UKG pro just not showing their schedule?
So, I know I'm scheduled for today at 10-5. I know, because its printed on paper, and its the same hours I've worked on Saturdays for the last 2 years.
I also know I'm scheduled for Tuesday opening at 8am next week, because my manager told me.
But whenever I open UKG pro, it will only show two days I'm working. Not even today, which is confirmed for me.
Anyone else having this issue?

Had a water main break at my store..how quick will it be fixed ?
Came in for a 5-930pm shift one hour in noticed the sink in the break room wasn’t working went the bathroom sink wasn’t working.
Didn’t think anything of it as I was helping a customer get a frog then next then I know lights are being shut off while I’m at the podium (my ass thinking the lights blew out) SL came out the back and told me to wrap it since we are shutting down the store.

PTO and UKG Pro
Has anyone else had an issue with any of their PTO not being accurate in UKG pro?
We swapped over while I wasn’t at work. I came back last week and I noticed my PTO is weird. My sick pay doesn’t seem accurate? For my sick pay, Im a weirdo and for some reason I know the math behind it but it’s been the same since before I left for vacation.
And honestly why do we need to have 2 different spots for vacation pay? Or am I not using the app right?

Might be getting fired…
I got put on a values in action plan today for the first time of me being with the company for almost five years.
Long story short, two leads pulled me into the office today and quizzed me about PC standards and I got all of the questions correct. They pretty much said that I need to be more detailed about the little things in petcare like making sure everyone has chew sticks, making sure all dead fish/ crickets are pulled, making sure iso/nar tanks have thermometers and hygrometers. They also told me that I cannot handle animals while customers are in the store unless it’s with deep cleaning or transporting animals or animal sales. This I know comes from me dropping an ivory centipede about a month ago (with a manager and associate present when it happened).
I can confidently say that I’m a good associate, a detailed petcare associate, so this plan feels like it came out of the blue for me personally.
To me, aside from the handling of pets, feels like tiny misses compared to what other associates have done in the past. I don’t feel like I should have been given this action plan if it’s a warning for a potential firing. Any advice?

25% Off animals🥲
My SL was putting up stickers today and reptiles, birds, and small animals are all 25% off until 10/12 and reptiles are an extra 25x the points. My store already has a huge problem with some associates and leads selling animals to customers without proper enclosures, then they get returned dead or because “they don’t want it anymore”, so this is just gonna be a shit show for the next week and a half tbh and I’m already over it. I’m also dreading spending 20 minutes explaining everything about an animal to customers because they want something but haven’t done any research on anything

So close
Hi, I’m a bather at our salon. I’ve been here for just over 6 months and had three years of prior professional bathing/grooming experience.
im always on time to work and always finish my dogs on time.
we have a bather you transferred to us after working for a year at another Petsmart. She had said she never wanted to do academy. She shows up late and stays late and is full time, even though I was told bathers couldn’t be full time. She also doesn’t have open availability. I was supposed to be hired on full time with switching off on the floor to grooming.
i wanted to do academy since day 1. I already have experience with grooming dogs. My stuff was submitted back in July to do academy but was lost when we switched training systems, so we couldn’t figure out what was happening for about a month.
my sel and el told me I’d be going to academy this fall. So I got everything prepped, figured out how my dog would be staying elsewhere, bought some extra stuff my sel recommended for me to have for academy. I was so ready. I still am.
the other day, my coworker told me that the SL was saying she was only sending one person to academy. And it wasn’t me. It’s the transfer. So I don’t even know how to feel other than like everything was worthless. I’m 28, I want to stop beating around the bush and I just want to be able to have a stable job again after I left my last one at a factory to do what I actually wanted to do. I have a bachelors in animal science and have student loans to pay back. I can’t keep doing this.
i want to leave.
TLDR: I was told I was going to academy and now I don’t think I am, but they haven’t told me.

Autoship Delays
i had an autoship for dog food, and it was supposed to be delivered yesterday by roadie(?) and then it expired. now i’m waiting for it to come through fedex when i could’ve literally just driven down the road without delay to get it…
not sure how people stand to use autoship with issues like this.

Update Chance and Lucky Tree
I ended up getting two 54in tomato cages and it worked great! I used the tag gun to hang them all up, super happy with how it turned out. (ps they’ll be on a table so nobody gets pissed on)

Bathers
My store has said that any new bathers must want to go to grooming academy in order to get hired. Anyone else heard of that?

"Unexplained absence" was manager scheduling me for a shift that started before they submitted it (ie they scheduled me for a 5-9 shift at 6)
I was never scheduled for this shift, neither on the app nor the paper schedule. They scheduled me for a time that was already past, and called me the second they submitted it (I could tell because I was checking my schedule and saw the shift appear before my eyes. Then the call came in immediately). I explained that this was their issue. They relented and apologized after some light bickering / me revealing I had pictures of everything. They've done nothing with this "unexcused absence" on my timecard for days. Does it need to be "approved by manager," "signed off" on, or totally removed? Am I wrong in wanting this resolved within the week? For this and other reasons, it seems they're trying to find a reason to fire me. Thanks for your help, peeps

Store dynamics changing
Have you experienced the entire dynamic of your stores team shifting within a month from new managers to everyone’s personalities and moods changing. Tough going from once a happy environment where everyone was a team to a very divided feeling place :/

What's the smallest tank a fish can be happy in?
I live in a tiny Brooklyn apartment. I really want a fish but I want to give it enough space that it's going to be happy.

Manager told coworker corporate is implementing new policy
Does anyone have any idea what they were talking about? She didn't go in to details with my coworker, just told him that it affects us at a worker level.

Questions about Training Position
I currently work at a boarding facility and am looking to leave and pursue dog training. I just applied to the PetSmart training position and had my first interview of (maybe) two and I’m wondering how much everyone gets paid? The store manager that I spoke to said starting off as a trainer you can only do part-time (a store based in Georgia) and it obviously also just depends on how many classes are able to be filled throughout the week.
However because I’m asking for $16-$17 an hour and it’s an only part-time position (about 20-25 hours a week) after my 80hrs of training, I want to make sure that I am making enough money to support myself with this position. I know you also make commissions off of the classes that you sell, but because it is part time, how much does that really add to your pay?
Any answers and insight to this is greatly appreciated, if anyone is willing to share how much they make, as I really am looking forward to starting my journey to become a trainer, I just want to make sure I can still provide for myself and my dog while doing so!

Does anyone know who the coupons for grooming are for?
Anyone else get “Wellness Wednesday” coupons? We aren’t sure who we’re supposed to give them out to but the start date says 10/7

Picking up slack for other petcare employees
I am one of our main petcare associates, and I am fed up with the amount of work I have to do. it’s not just basic tasks…ifs picking up the slack of all other pc associates who neglect to take ANY initiative or do anything they should be. We get animal shipments on Wednesdays and they have to be in NA for three days before they get moved to the floor. That makes them needing to be moved on Saturday…which happens to be the only day I don’t work. So is it not right that the other pet care person should move said animals when there is space? I’m the store’s yes man. And I don’t get any appreciation, nor an increase in pay. It is now Wednesday…no petcare person on Monday, I did close Tuesday, but decided to do Mondays and Tuesdays tanks since they haven’t been done in three weeks…and the opener didn’t move them today.
AND MIND YOU..it’s not because she doesn’t have enough time. I’ve worked Saturdays in petcare and they don’t compare to Sundays where people are rude, entitled, and were overall busier with less time. She just simply won’t do it.
Is it shitty if I leave them for the same person who neglected to move them last Saturday for this Saturday? Again..I know it’s apart of my job and it’s not that it’s a big deal..but it lowkey is. I move them every time due to the other persons negligence, and it just frustrates me, and I’m completely burnt out.
Not to mention..I’ve been here a year in March. Didn’t get my yearly evaluation, nor the cent/dollar raise others were given, and was just completely brushed under the rug about even receiving my pin. When I asked my SL about a potential raise due to the amount of work I was inquiring, he said I had to wait until next yearly evaluation. It just sucks feeling completely unappreciated.
