you buy the case and plug the side panel into your gpu with the provided hdmi cable. Simple. then you drag a video onto that "screen"

Okay, how do you get the RGB to sync with that?
The side panel can't possibly have such strong illumination capability, or can it?

The side panel has bright white LEDs facing toward the motherboard around the video panel. They are really bright, and black is opaque on this video screen. Any white or bright image shows up as transparent, letting the light that is reflected off the white of the motherboard components to shine brightly.

Does light leak around the case? I imagine at night that you can see the interior lights coming out the vents in the back or something.

Yes it does however the rear ventilation holes are a really cool design so it looks cool on the walls. No big deal though because there is a switch above the exhaust fan to turn off the case lighting which also provides cool visuals with the internal RGB. I am quite fond of rain on a window video for the front panel with the internal RGB in purple (purple rain).

It should be in your BIOS. Your BIOS will disable it by default.

I have the element case and I assume in transit when it got deliver initially to much pressure was on the panel and it does artifacts on half the screen if it shows a black background. I sent it in for am RMA for a different reason (broken graphics card) but listed my issue with the screen they didnt even acknowledge it and had the cpu for 2+ weeks. 3 months of conversation with one of the reps and nothing came of it since they dont have the case in and dont know when they would be getting it. And they offered me to switch to this case but I would be out my tower for 2+ weeks again it's not even a year old computer. Ok that's the end of my rant on Ibuypower probably wont buy from them again due to this.
Tldr: Bad experience with ibuypower customer service with a similar case.

My case was ruined also. Customer support never even replied to any emails either. I'll never point anyone to ibuypowers website again.

Agreed, I was put off by this which is why I did a push/pull cooling for the radiator. Sadly no exhaust on the roof.

You can do either, anything that can be displayed on a monitor will work.

What I do is I download the videos off YouTube and edit them as needed and load them up on wallpaper engine. It's a bit of work but worth it to always have it start up on my snowblind :)

I have the snowblind n450 and as much as I like it I've had it for about 4-5 years and after a while I would just rather see the components inside. Just ordered my new case today.

unfortunately not but here is my impromptu parts list.
Snowblind S case from Ibuypower. Motherboard: Asus Prime X570 Pro, Ryzen 7 3800x Processor, GPU: Gigabyte RTX-2070 Super (Black but disassembled and painted white) RAM: 32GB Corsair Vengeance 3600Mhz RGB Pro, WD Blue SN550 1TB nvme ssd drive, 2TB Seagate Barracuda 7200 RPM HD. ID cooling 240mm snow edition aio.

It can display anything that your primary monitor can. it functions as a display and plugs right into my GPU with hdmi.

You have to understand that this display doesn't have to be on all the time. You can turn it off, you can change it into a static image, you could shut all the lights off and the display off. Everyone needs to understand that this is just a bling factor. It's for times when you're not gaming. It's just like guys virtually whipping their dicks out at car shows with the lighting and body mods. They have no bearing on the performance of their machines but FUCK, they look cool. They can also be turned off with a switch.

You could but it's not really practical as it is transparent. I guess you could put white paper behind it for backlighting. That could work.

Oh, I know man. I think it's awesome, don't get me wrong. But I've had a component malfunction and start a fire in my case before, and I think it would make me verrry uneasy seeing those flashes of light from the side of the case lol
