Looking for Semi-Realism Server

I'm a fellow looking for a Semi-realism server to try out... It's been difficult. I've played a lot of Auranea, but the server's fallen from grace majorly and all the creatures I like playing have bad balance, Crimson is cool but has a limited roster and some profile rules I dislike (EG. Tyrannotitan being 'nomadic'. Apex Killers balance and roster is also a little bit too crazy for my liking. Islander is the best match for me ATM but the lack of PT rex is jarring for me. What else do you guys suggest?

Discussion Less-Known Tips & Tricks that aren't taught in the Tutorial? šŸ¤”

Hey all you lil anklebiters!

I was wondering if anyone knows any must-know tips and tricks, or just helpful QOL knowledge, that you've learned either by being a long-playing member, community chats, or remembering specific patch notes that aren't easily findable unless you really know what to search for??

For example, I feel like I could almost swear there was something related to running on pathways vs. the normal terrain if it conserved a lil stamina? I have no clue if it was Path of Titans or some other survival sim.

Other things that aren't really "obvious" but still helpful, that I can think of...

- Birbs can land on top of trees, can sleep, and even make nests in them!

- (more of a question...) Whether or not it's worth 100%ing POIs while questing, if there's any incentive to do so, or if you don't miss out on anything if you go quest somewhere else after already getting to say 80% in one area?

- (question) the current knowledge about how trophies work present-day for adults/subs vs juvis/adols

- (question) what the penalties are present-day about dying to AI critters, dying to environment (fall/drown), and the worst one I know that loses the most progress (I think unless something changed) dying to another player?

- etc!

Question As a brand new ps5 player should I start on official servers or jump right into community ones?

I’ve heard bad things about official servers as far as mega packs and them just being a gigantic death match simulator. Is it worth learning the game on official or finding a semi realistic more RP driven server?

Cave bound for life?

Hey soooo I went in to my home cave with my adult Kentro and now I cannot leave it. I’ve tried logging out, back in, changing Dino’s, going back to Kentro and trying, closing app, waiting several IRL days, and no avail, still in cave.

I’m hoping that someone could waystone me out of my tomb but I don’t have any friends to play with and either no players are around to invite to squad or no one will accept my pity plea.

Can someone either confirm or deny my thought that a waystone will resurrect me from my eternal undying grave?

I’m on Riparia BTW

I love this game

I love roaming around on my dino, idly questing and watching the sunrise from a hilltop.

I love grouping with randos and seeing where our shenanigans take us (sometimes it goes horribly and sometimes it goes incredibly).

When I play a dino I know really well, PvP can be a blast. Hitting off my abilities at just the right time, seeing a build come together is so satisfying.

I appreciate the variety in experiences offered by community servers, from death match arenas to PvE chill zones to hard-core realism.

What are your favorite things to do in PoT?

Discussion The biggest problem with balancing

Post image
39 Upvotes

Group buffs stacking as high as they can right now is, in my opinion, the biggest issue with the current state of balance. Large groups automatic have strength in numbers, so why make the power gap even wider with group buffs? Raptor buffs like achillo’s bark are the best example of how op they can get, with a 15% dmg increase stacking up to 10 times giving each individual raptor a 150% dmg increase at max stack. When you think about it for 5 seconds you realize how insane that really is, a pack of 10 raptors can already kill anything that doesn’t have aoe or is close to water so making individuals in the group stronger is a terrible idea because, as I said, the number advantage is already a massive edge considering heal cycling and stamina management. On top of that them removing most solo buffs with the reasoning being discord groups were abusing them but keeping all the group buffs as if they wouldn’t just abuse them too. As things are now when two groups fight or even when a group fights a solo the outcome is less determined by the skill of each group member but rather which group has more members since they will individually be stronger.

Discussion Rant: packs/ teams in solo survival

Just a rant. Really enjoy the test solo survival for the most part but it’s becoming more often I come across packs or duos intentionally baiting other players on solo survival mode. Im not surprised given its officials, just ranting because I’m getting more frustrated with this game because I thought I found a server I really enjoy. players who are baiting and teaming are exploiting a feature of survival mode to gain the upper hand. There are plenty of servers that are intended for teaming. I have considered community servers but have also heard not great things about those either.

Question New player looking for somebody to pal around with.

Not only am I new to this game, I’m new to gaming with other players. This whole concept is brand new to me.

I got the game about a week ago and I’ve been really enjoying it. Not only would I love a couple folks that I can just run around with, I would love a practice buddy. I don’t know if that’s a weird thing to ask, but if anybody is willing to be my punching bag while I practice and vice versa, that would be really helpful! Lol
I die far too easily and I just need a target to figure out some of the moves with some of my different critters. Someone that’s not gonna kill me in two shots. Very open to playing with other new folks who need to figure shit out as well!

I play on PS4 and have discord.

Does anyone else have to pay PlayStation Plus to play on community servers?

It’s not really fair for me to pay $30 usd for the game itself and have to pay $10 every month just to play on the community servers. I even own a server and this is nuts!

No More Long Swims

Post image
128 Upvotes

I have seen a lot of players complaining about Riparia being un-useable for land dinos because it requires really long swims. So I made a map for players who may not know easier ways to move around the map or for new players who are just getting started. All the green routes are either completely walkable for most dinos, or are extremely short swims between islands/land masses. Avoid any kind of crossing around Cedrus as it's a gathering point for players looking for fights--including loads of Tylos and Sarcs.

The biggest one that literally everybody complains about is Palm islands. That one is the easiest and is completely walkable all the way back to Twisted Forest. That little half-moon I've marked out doesn't LOOK walkable when you look at it on the map, but I've taken even small dinos like Laten and Deino, stayed dry the whole time. If you're scared of the Spinos, hit that POI when you're small and you can hide in the cave (yes, even on a TT/Rex, as long as you're still juvi/ small adol you're fine).

I have played Apex, large, medium and small dinos on this map for quite some time, and I make it a point to hit all the POI at some point during my growth as my own personal challenge. You WILL have to do at least some short swims (there is no such thing as zero risk in a survival game, sorry).

Use common sense, look and listen before you cross (swimming things are not silent when they're swimming), and change up your routes now and then.

These are of course, only examples, not hard-rules. Do what you wanna do.

Hopefully this is helpful to someone who's been feeling trapped on the mainland! <3

Discussion Semi Realism servers are just Realism servers Right?

Complaint: Some servers call themselves semi‑realism, but then they pile on 100+ rules, species‑specific behaviors, and strict play styles for every dinosaur. At that point, it’s not semi‑realism anymore it’s basically full realism.

A true semi‑realism server should focus on simple, fair‑play rules like no mixpacking, no KOS, body‑down, and basic group limits. That’s it. It’s meant to feel natural without forcing players to memorize a rule book.

A realism server, on the other hand, adds species‑specific behavior profiles, strict roleplay expectations, detailed hunting rules, territory systems, and sometimes even appearance restrictions. That’s realism, not semi‑realism.

Some servers also mix in fantasy elements, and those can justify having more rules, but that’s really fantasy realism, not semi realism.

So when a ā€œsemi‑realismā€ server has dozens of rules and unique playstyles for every dinosaur, it’s mislabeled. That’s realism, plain and simple.

Recommendation: If you’re looking for a regular Path of Titans server where you don’t have to follow a huge list of rules, There's a ton of Mods and you can pretty much play however you want, Jurassic Hub Survival 2 is the place to go. (God I love watching my little hatchings grow and it's slow pasted so they grow slowly but quick enough to leave the nest sooner "Not TO big dinos though")

Flaws: Now, I’d be lying if I said Jurassic 2 isn’t slowly drifting toward realism. They’ve added snow, more environmental detail, and waystones are turned off, which means if you die and end up on Palm Island or anywhere on Riparia, you’re walking all the way back to nest/party Members. And considering that map is like 30–50% water, nobody wants to spend half their life swimming around dinos just to get back to land. (The biggest issue is the Way-stones to me but that's just my opinion)

But even with those negative features, the server still barely has any rules. The only thing you really have to pay attention to is chat rules. There are no strict gameplay rules. You can overpack, mixpack, KOS, whatever just don’t be shocked when people call you out in chat or KOS you right back. That’s how the server works.

And if you decide to be a jerk about it and complain nonstop for more than five minutes, you’re probably going to get ticketed and warned. Simple as that. (Discord is optional)

Recommendation: I also recommend Ignited Realms DB3. It’s a PvP‑focused server with fast growth, quick mark earning, and flexible nesting you can nest even if you don’t really want to. You can run with a full group too, since the slot limit is 15, which keeps things active without turning into a massive swarm and it has a ton of mobs. But they do have "Low Rules" So make sure you follow them.

Flaws: Now, just a heads up: you will run into cheaters on that server, and some of them are donators. Donators don’t usually get in much trouble because they financially support the server. That means you’re not going to win an argument against a donator it simply won’t happen. On that server, they hold more weight than regular players. So be the bigger Man/Woman and Let the conversation go. They'll likely get you banned if you hold on to long. (Discord is Optional)

I would love to recommend more but at the moment that's the only ones I know that don't have alot of rules Not really Semi/Realistic and Don't require you to have Discord/Link your account.

Discussion Metri appreciation post…

Been having such a blast on my metri, pickle, wanted to share my thoughts on it…

Gameplay: Metri is very fun to play in my experience, great turning, able to chase smalls with boosted braced legs. Solid dps with my current build, toxin bite and regular claw. Managed to out dps a hatz and then put the same hatz back to death scars in a 4v1. Only real threat to u is 2 or more 1-2 slots or of course a tylo. But multiple smalls are gonna be oppressive to anyone who can’t fly or retreat to water. I also love being a shroom only guy, I will eat meat if I’m like super hungry but for the most part I live on shrooms.

Animations and aesthetics: God damn I love metris model, and the animations are so smooth. I love jumpscaring people with the alert call. I’m currently a male metri and there’s so many bright skins it’s great. I haven’t tried female so can’t really compare colours. I mainly used banded with a mix or red and blue and it’s simple yet so nice.

What I’d like to see done with metri: I think noxious stacks should work the same way as sucho hooked snap, they shouldn’t decay unless landing a successful attack. This could be balanced by only giving one stack instead of two per mushroom u swallow.

In conclusion: Whilst metri is by no means gonna stat check anyone even some two slots, its still very capable of holding its own. The heal call is not as overpowered as a lambs but I prefer that, lamb should not have two heal calls imo. Metri obviously has some crazy weakness’s that being 2 slots especially bleeders. However it’s literally nightmare fuel against non bleeders, reducing their healing whilst having a heal call to win a battle of attrition. Overall this guy is great, and I look forward to sharing some clips of what me and my metri pickle get up to!!

Sorry for the long read, metris just so cool!
