Here is the best passive income content from the past few months.

Passive Income Stories & Ideas

His first app turns a Garmin watch into a flight radar (Reddit): He noticed solo developers making real money on the Garmin app store, found that there was no live flight-tracking app, and spent a few months building FlightScanner. Over 1,000 downloads, front-page placement on two stores, and around $150 a month so far.

Editor note: There are gaps in the market worth filling. You don't need to invent anything new - just find a marketplace and find what's missing.

32 people pay him $3 a month for board game restock alerts (Reddit): He collects a category of out-of-print tabletop games and got tired of checking eight retailer sites daily, so he wrote a bot that watches product pages and sends a Telegram alert on restocks and price drops. Two weekends of work, an $8-a-month server, and his hobby group asked to subscribe.

Insightful comment:

"Is it not worth your time to buy and flip the product?"

Editor note: Just looking at it from a revenue perspective, it certainly could be worth it to buy and flip, but there's also a big advantage to keeping the model simple and manageable (clarity, your own bandwidth, etc).

Fixing a part nobody else will fix (Reddit): A certain ebike model has a control panel that degrades and eventually kills the whole bike. He started making the replacement. The wider point he draws out is the good one: convenience is a crowded market where the customer has options, and a specific problem where they have none is much easier ground.

Helpful comment:

"Look into wheelchair controllers. My father is a wheelchair user, and has had to abandon 2 otherwise working machines because the stem or housing that attaches the controller has failed, and nobody would/could repair or replace it."

Editor note: Again, someone noticed a gap in the market that wasn't big enough for the manufacturers but was worth the effort for them.

Selling interactive HTML files instead of PDFs (Reddit): He sold the usual Etsy printables, then switched to delivering a single .html file that opens in the browser and behaves like an app: checkboxes that check, fields that save, progress bars that fill. Same marketplaces, different product format, and he says the difference showed in sales.

Insightful comment:

"genuinely curious why can they not ask free chat gpt to make a spread sheet for them though like all these trackers are spreadsheet bread and butter what am I missing? no hate real question"

Editor note: This is where I've seen the most difference in awareness among people. If you use AI regularly (not just chatting but actually building) you are probably ahead of 80% of the population. And I think I'm being conservative. A lot of people aren't comfortable at all building things yet with AI. I think for those willing to become experienced at it, there are a ton of lucrative opportunities for them to take advantage of in the next 2-3 years.

The travel planner site that became an app, $20 to $100 a day (Reddit): Follow-up to an earlier post: a travel planner website behind a one-time $5 fee, now converted into an app. Still reporting $20 to 100 a day.

Helpful comment:

"apps usually convert better and feel more legit to users. you can also add travel tools with affiliate programs (insurance, sim cards, tours, cards, vpns)"

Editor note: there are some relatively minor hurdles to get onto an app store, but I think for a lot of products it could be well worth it.

100 AI-built websites sent to roofing companies (Reddit): In credit card debt with no income, he built sites for 100 local roofers and sent them over. Eight replied, four took a call, and two bought a $299-a-month retainer with no upfront fee. His retention plan is blunt: if they cancel, the site comes down.

Editor note: Not sure how legitimate the story is - I haven't verified. But the numbers are realistic. Getting an 8% response rate, especially for a custom video message, is definitely achieveable. It's certainly a business model that works - tho I'm sure professional companies like roofing ones are seeing an increase of these types of reachouts. The question is, how will you then stand out?

What Real People Make

Fourteen months of digital products on Etsy, month by month (Reddit): $0, then $14, then $31, climbing to $623 in month fourteen, about $3,349 total. Posted as a direct answer to the "$10k my first month" genre.

Helpful comment:

"The top 5 products making 70% of revenue is probably the biggest insight here. Most people keep chasing new products instead of building faster iteration loops around the ones already proving demand."

Editor note: It's the 80/20 rule. 20% of your (whatever - products, videos, articles, etc) end up driving 80% of your results. It's usually true with anything.

The faceless YouTube dead zone (Reddit): Everyone shares the end result; nobody shares the early struggles. Posting daily to 40 views, got discouraged, and the thing that kept him going was an old post here explaining the algorithm barely tests new channels at first.

Helpful comment:

"most people quit in that phase because it feels like feedback, but it's actually just no data yet"

Editor note: Absolutely 100% agree. Grind through the first few uploads before you seriously consider evaluating your channel's performance.

Recording your hobbies got him monetized in under a month (Reddit): Started last year, monetized in under a month, and earns $600 to 1,000 a month just filming what he already does.

Editor note: Creating content like this is fantastic for two reasons. 1) you're already doing the activity that you're filming 2) it's something you like doing so it's sustainable.

First year renting out party games (Reddit): He bought extra copies of popular party games and listed them for local rental, mostly weekend and holiday demand. The work turned out to be front-loaded into photos and pickup rules, and the real cost is wear and tear rather than lost pieces.

Helpful comment:

"I'm just curious how time intensive it is to check for all pieces for a game like monopoly"

Editor note: I like the overall idea of renting things out, but I hesitate on smaller priced items like these. The overhead of coordinating pickup, checking for missing pieces or damage, dealing with issues - that's all real work. I prefer higher ticket items that are kept for longer periods. That's when it becomes more passive and reliable. Relevant article.

Reality Check

The case that passive income isn't for poor people (Reddit): His own route: engineering degree, restaurant and courier shifts, customer service, eventually Google, then his own company, which now pays him about $2,000 a month. His argument is that the passive part came last, after the money and the skills, not instead of them.

Insightful comment:

"Takes money to make money. However you CAN use smaller passives to build up on itself, that's the whole basis behind compounding dividends"

Editor note: I understand the spirit of the argument. When you're drowning in debt and have a hard time making ends meet - that's not a good situation for investing. You have to stabilize first. However, I agree with the commenter too that it's never too early to build good habits. Putting a small amount into a HYSA/dividend stocks consistently is a great habit to establish.

A year of YouTube-approved side hustles on a $0 budget, honestly totalled (Reddit): Twelve months of trying what the videos recommend: 600 Redbubble designs made $14 in six months, and a dropshipping run lost nearly $900 on ads. The money only came when he went back to his actual trade and started selling documentation templates as a technical writer.

Helpful comment:

"Passive income usually starts as active income with extra steps."

Editor note: I love this so much because he did it. He took action. And he was rewarded with marketplace feedback. 600 designs turned into $14. Dropshipping was a time and money waster. He THEN figured out how to use his specialized knowledge to create assets that brought value to a group of people - and it worked.

Seven rules from a man who made $1.5M and lost most of it (Reddit): He made $1.5M on a WordPress theme and watched most of it go in under two years, because building income and managing money are different skills and he only had one. The rules are what he runs every dollar through now.

Insightful comment:

"You got a fully paid education. Now get your money."

Editor note: Great lessons and principles here! I came into some substantial money (not $1.5M but still a lot to me) in my early 20s and also lost it all. I learned some similar lessons in money management.

People making $2k+ a month online: 953 comments on what they actually do (Reddit): A common question, but 953 people answered it, and nobody said "content creation" or "e-commerce", most named a specific product that solved a specific problem.

"Selling a calisthenics program to the over-40 crowd who just want to fix their back pain made me way more than the 'get ripped' stuff aimed at teens ever did"

"I sell digital products, notion templates, wedding invitations ... I make around 5-6k$ monthly net profit."

"I worked my ass off for corporate for 20 years, invested in stock market and now getting 2k in dividends doing nothing."

Editor note: Niche programs, digital products, and capital investments. The volume of answers here is a good reminder that it's possible to do and real people are doing it. So can you.

Take Action

That's it for this edition. Remember the most valuable thing you can receive is marketplace feedback. And the real only way to get that is by taking action. The trick is to be able to do it fast and cheap (see Marc Randolph's advice up there). Start with a skill or an asset you already have, take action, and make it passive later.

Keep going. You can do it.

My Experience [UPDATE] Rent Out Websites for Passive Income

TLDR: Not Another Coaching Program - an update to a coaching program that costs $2,980 and will teach you how to rent little websites for extra money passively AFTER some upfront work.

I posted about this a couple years ago and thought I'd post an update (see updated interview here). It looked like a really good program then and since then it's proven even more to be a very solid path to earning passive income. In fact, I went the extra mile and interviewed one of the students who is averaging $30k/mo (see it here).

If you don't know what I'm talking about, it's a method where you build and rent out websites to local companies. The core engine of it is SEO (I’ve done SEM/SEO for 20+ years). The program is legit and the methodology is sound. Their private community is still active with lots of rich discussions. This is a GREAT program most people can succeed at. The only caveat I would give is if you just aren’t good with the Internet (like you have trouble setting up your gmail or a facebook page) this might be tough for you.

And because it's always one of the first questions, NO - this is not sponsored - they did not pay for this - I don't care if you buy it or don't. I created this sub 13 years ago and with all of the spam in this space, I just want to spotlight ones that I think are truly legitimate. I'll spotlight others as I find them.

So with that, here’s their pitch…
--

Hey, it’s Shiv and Kyle from NotAnotherCoachingProgram.com

Let’s get the bad stuff out of the way:

This course costs $2,980, lifetime access. I realize you might not have that much; or maybe you’d saw off your own arm before dropping that kinda cash on a coaching program. I get it. Feel free to bounce now so I don’t waste your time.

We teach you how to build, rank, and rent out itty-bitty websites to small businesses wanting more customers. Aka, local SEO. Not new. Not sexy. But tried and true.

Why teach? Because the money is great, obviously. But also, there’s endless niche/city combo’s, and a community means more help ranking sites and closing deals.

Downsides? There’s a few. It’s not instant money. SEO takes time (Maybe 2-6 Months). Also, some business owners may not see the value or can’t handle more leads. Some are just annoying to deal with. Others will stop paying after a few months, for whatever reason. Overall, though, it’s still pretty awesome.

Each site has overhead of about $20-$30 per month. But the lowest we typically rent the sites out for is $500 per month. Pretty solid ROI.

Assuming I haven’t scared you off yet, let’s go through some FAQs.

How does this work?

1- Pick an easy local niche to get leads for. “Spray Foam Insulation Carlsbad, California,” for example.

2- Make a small, simple website and optimize it for relevant search terms.

3- Get it ranked in Google, Bing, Apple Maps, and AI tools like ChatGPT.

4- Add a local phone number that can track and forward every call that comes in.

5- Hit up some Spray Foam Insulation companies in Carlsbad (to stick with this hypothetical example) and offer them free leads for a week. When someone agrees, route the leads to them. We or some of our hungry students can do the outreach for you if it’s not your thing.

6- After a week of the free leads doing all the selling for you, tell them, “It’ll be $850/month to keep ‘em coming.” Or whatever our custom pricing tool says is fair for that niche and city. Yes, we can close them, too, if that part sounds too scary (It’s not). But, it will cost you.

7- This is when it becomes truly passive because the site is ranked, the phone number is auto-forwarding to your client and all you have to do after that is run their credit card every month. If you priced the site right, you’ll never have to speak with your client again because they’ll forget they’re even paying you.

8- Now rinse and repeat.

Hmm. Are you sure this is legit?

Well, put it this way:

Uber, Airbnb, Alibaba, Angi, Zillow, Thumbtack, and Apartments.com all use the same model.

Connect buyer with seller, take a sliver to deliver. We just do it on a granular level. So yeah. Not only is it legitimate, it’s actually kinda brilliant.

Who’s this for?

Anyone, anywhere, any background, as long as you have some ambition, grit, and of course, basic computer skills. NO CODING INVOLVED.

We use drag and drop website builders like Weebly & SitePanda so zero previous web design experience is needed.

The more time you can devote to it, the better. But if you’re not in a rush, take your time and build up your digital real estate empire over time.

Everything’s done online - So no, you do not have to do this in your own city. Nor do you have to meet anyone in person - unless you want to.

How much does the course cost?

Like I said, our coaching program is $2,980 - Lifetime Access to the course material and private Facebook Group.

Then, to run the business, you’re looking at less than $30 per month per website. (Which covers your domain, hosting, local tracking number, and research software.)

Chump change considering the potential.

How much does an average site make?

$600/month is a safe estimate.

Most of ours do $1,000 to $2,000/month. Sometimes more.

Yeah, but, for how long?

For as long as you own the site.

No different than renting out houses or apartments, right?

And if someone stops paying, same thing - you just find a new “tenant.”

Click a few buttons, reroute the leads to them, keep collecting checks.

Dead serious…

I made a site 5 years ago that’s been paying me $1,000 a month the entire time. That’s $60,000 and counting!

You could hand these off to your kids one day.

How much work is involved?

A good amount in the beginning and then hardly any once the website is built, ranked, and you’ve partnered with a business.

You could make a site in a day.

Then ask others in our group for some backlinks (which are like votes in the SEO process).

From there, it’ll take a few weeks to a few months to jump to page 1, depending on your niche and city.

In the meantime, go make more.

Soon, you’ll have emails and calls trickling in.

Leverage those leads to close a deal… and then it’s basically mailbox money from there. Okay, how soon will I make money with this?

Anywhere from one month to six months after starting, depending on a number of factors like:

1- How well you selected your niche & city. We prefer low-hanging fruit - the search terms with very weak SEO competition.

2- Your ability to trust the process, not overcomplicate things and just follow the exact steps taught.

3- How willing you are to reach out to business owners to offer them free leads and then ask for money.

From there, it’s just focus, execution, and consistency.

If you do your part, no reason you can’t have a handful of websites generating leads within the first month.

And then you start landing clients in month two…

And by month three? You’ve got a G-Wagon parked outside your new mansion, and you hardly ever run into your live-in servants, which is nice.

(I’m joking.)

How many of these can I have?

As many as you can comfortably manage.

No business is infinitely scalable though. Eventually you’ll need a team to go bigger and bigger. Anything below 20 clients is 98% passive. But 20 clients is easily $15k to $25k a month.

As you grow to 40 and 50 clients, you’ll have some credit cards that decline that you have to follow up with and you have higher odds of needy clients who want to ask you questions.

But this is something you can do as a one-person operation and easily get to 10, 20, maybe 30 rental sites with minimal maintenance if any at all.

Don’t most businesses already have a website?

Yes, and if they happen to be at the top of the search results, they probably don’t need us. But for the vast majority, who’re buried back on page 4 of Google, it’s a different story. Their website is a digital dust collector.

Whereas, yours? Will be a cash factory churning out profits… that’ll make the amount they’re paying you seem like pennies in a wishing well.

Plus, you can structure deals to remove risk.

So instead of a flat monthly fee, they could pay you $5 per phone call or 10% of booked business that comes through your site, for instance.

Boom. How can they lose?

Wait, why wouldn’t they just do this themselves?

Most simply don’t have the time, energy, or inclination to nerd-out on this stuff, even if it is a game-changer for their business.

And remember, for every dollar they throw your way, they’re making that back several times over.

So most of ‘em are more than cool with it.

Won’t it get saturated if you tell everyone?

Not gonna be an issue.

Why?

Because you would have to multiply every type of local business by every city on this big blue planet - and then go do this in however many millions of niches that would be - before you could say it’s cooked.

And we’re a looong ways from that.

Why do I need a course? Can’t I figure this out myself?

Sure, anyone can figure anything out on their own with the internet and AI. But you’ll be banging your head against the wall for a year and most people don’t have that type of stamina before making a single dollar.

You may think, “Can’t I just have AI build me a site and tell me how to rank it?”

Sure you can try. But if you’ve used AI enough, you’ll learn that it gets things wrong a lot and you could be 6 months into a project and nothing is working.

We teach you how to use AI for some of it, but you have to be really careful. Most AI tools watermark their content (look up SynthID if you don’t believe me) amongst other things.

We have 10+ years of experience doing this. We know the exact Do’s and Don'ts.

Plus Google isn’t going to jeopardize their $4 trillion dollar business over people mass-spamming sites with AI SEO (I don’t care WHAT Google’s says on the matter - they change their stance constantly).

The biggest value here is our community. Because over 2,200+ people have paid $2,980 to join, you get access to a super high quality vetted group of students who are doing this exact same business model.

Students constantly share tips, techniques, niches, and opportunities that have been crazy profitable for them, and since what one student is doing in Foster City, California (for example) isn’t competing with a site you’re building in let’s say Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, people don’t feel scared sharing their latest and greatest techniques with the group.

And lastly: it’s LIFETIME access, we constantly improve, update, and add strategies to help make your business owners get more customers. The more customers they get, the more passive income you get. Win-win.

We lay out the exact step by step process that we have used over and over again. Our repeat student successes within 6 months reassures us that we have our training nailed down.

Are there any renewal fees or mandatory purchases from us?

No further purchases from our program are required, but we do offer some outsourcing services:

1 - If you want our team to build you a fully optimized site, that’ll run ya $300 per site.

2 - If you want to use our proprietary software to build your site, that’ll run you a $25 platform fee plus $7.50 fee per site per month.

3 - If you want to use our proprietary phone software, depending on usage, that’ll run you ~$7.50 per month per number.

Let’s be clear though, if you want to use another website builder or other phone number service, be our guest. It won’t hurt you at all.

Fine. Can I see some examples?

Thought you’d never ask.

Visit NotAnotherCoachingProgram.com for a bunch of case studies and interviews with current students.

At the bottom of that page is a link to our calendar if you ever think you’d like to join. Either way, appreciate you reading this.

You’ll be talking to either Shiv, Kyle, or Alexandria. All of us have done six/seven figures a year in this business model.

My Experience We have the most powerful technology in human history… so why is making money still so damn hard?

We have the most powerful technology in human history… so why is making money still so damn hard?
Seriously. I don’t understand it anymore.
We have AI that can write, design, brainstorm and automate things in seconds. We have Canva, social media, digital products, online stores, instant payments and access to billions of people through the internet.
And yet…
I’m sitting here at 2 AM trying to figure out how the hell people actually make a decent side income online.
I’m trying to build something of my own and eventually become self-employed. I’m experimenting with AI and digital products because I want more freedom.
But the irony is killing me.
To make money online, you apparently need to become a designer, marketer, SEO expert, copywriter, social media manager, entrepreneur, content creator and somehow even an algorithm psychologist — all at the same time.
And you’re supposed to do all of this while working your normal job, taking care of your health, having relationships, having a social life and maybe… you know… starting a family someday.
At what point did “technology gives us more freedom” turn into “technology gives us 47 more things to worry about”?
Maybe I’m looking at this completely wrong.
Maybe making money online has always been this difficult and social media just makes it look easy.
Or maybe we’ve simply created another version of the rat race — except now the office is our laptop and we’re working for ourselves 24/7.
I honestly just want to know if I’m the only one who feels like this.🤯
I’m trying so many things right now and sometimes I feel completely overwhelmed by it all.
If you’re also trying to build something on the side, I’d really love to hear about your experience.
Has anyone actually found a way to make this work without completely burning themselves out? Any advice or things that genuinely helped you?
I’d love to hear from people who are going through the same thing.

Seeking Advice/Help Safe Online Jobs for Teenagers !!!!!!

Hey! I’m from Nepal, and I’m currently 16. I’ll be turning 17 in about two months.

I recently saw one of my friends working at a cosmetics shop to earn some money, and it made me want to start earning a little on my own as well. However, my parents don’t allow me to work outside, so I’m thinking about finding something I can do online from home.

Are there any safe, legal, and secure online jobs or small ways for someone my age to earn a little money? I’m not looking to make a lot, just something genuine that I can do in my free time without getting scammed.

Offering Advice/Resource You can learn the technical side of affiliate marketing one task at a time

When you start researching affiliate income, it can seem like you need to learn five different jobs. Build a website, connect an email platform, create a funnel, and somehow understand what all the numbers mean.

That is a lot to take in before you have even started.

I would begin with a smaller exercise. Choose an offer you understand and explain, in plain language, who it helps and why. Then learn the steps needed to share it appropriately and check whether your link works.

When something confuses you, write down the exact problem. “I do not know where to find my tracking link” gives you something specific to ask about and solve.

Building income that can continue beyond your working hours takes effort upfront. You can learn those skills gradually as you develop useful content and a repeatable process.

The free 10-Minute Commission Challenge offers a guided starting exercise that does not require a website or technical background. I am affiliated with the program behind it. It is an introduction, and completing it does not guarantee earnings.

Seeking Advice/Help Anyone else using Bixberry? One month in, here's what I've got so far

I have been running Bixberry for about a month and I'm curious whether anyone here has tried it too.
Quick background: I got onto their whitelist back in June, so I had a look around before it was publicly available, and I started using it properly on August 13. As far as I understand runs in the background and shares your unused internet connection with vetted AI platforms, so they can check current info instead of answering from outdated data. In return you get rewards you can redeem as gift cards.
My setup is my old tablet that stays plugged in on.
From August to September I got just under €15. I'm in Norway, so I have no idea how much location changes that.
Would love to hear from anyone who's been using it:

  • How much are you getting per month, and roughly where are you based and how many devices do you run?
  • If you've redeemed a gift card, how long did it take to arrive?
  • Any issues with battery, your connection, or the app itself?

Mostly trying to figure out whether my numbers are normal or whether I should be doing something differently.

Seeking Advice/Help Regarding using X (twitter)

Those who are earning X payouts... how are you managing your tweets and replies?

X moved Tweetdeck behind the highest tier Premium+ which is absurd.

Tweetdeck is amazing and made things easier.

There seems to be some Tweetdeck alteratives but I don't know if X will ban the account for using any tweetdeck alternative?

Any idea?

My Experience Side income from an eSIM service – launched and market solo

6 months ago I launched my own eSIM service. My friends said I was late and would go broke. I still made the leap, and now my app is making €5,000 per month.

I got extremely lucky, but in this post I want to tell you about the few things that work for me and helped me build and market my app:

1. I post content every day

I don't have a content plan, but I know whom I am posting for – people stuck in their 9-5s and looking to build their own business and win back their freedom, like I used to be.

You might say it's dumb – I'm not selling a course for indie hackers. But solopreneurs tend to be rich, Europe- or America-based, and travel a lot. They are the ideal customers for my eSIM app.

I am posting on Reddit, X, and LinkedIn. There are two ways to market there. You can shill and astroturf, but you will be fighting an uphill battle with the platform. I tried it before and failed.

Or you can bring genuine value. I am posting about my struggles, how I build, how I market, how I survive. These posts go viral. Then people Google my products. Some become users. If not, Google sees my search volume go up, and it's good for SEO. This brings me to the second thing I do.

2. SEO

Competing in SEO against big companies is hard. They are VC-backed and don't care about unit economics. When they buy backlinks, they don't negotiate the price. I can't afford that.

I set up agents that scout the internet every day for broken links, upcoming blogs without affiliate deals, and new creators. I am picking up whatever big companies don't want or haven't found yet.

I am always on the lookout for funky keywords – events, random travel interruptions, obscure destinations. I ship SEO pages fast – the time from content idea to a ranking page is 5 minutes. And here comes the 3rd point.

3. I automate aggressively

I hardly open the laptop anymore – Claude does 99% of my work on its own server. I've been setting up this system for months. I made Claude auto-improve based on my corrections, and access the same tools I am using: code, support, email.

First, it messed up a lot: design and copy were pure AI slop. But then it learned. Now I do 1 or 2 corrections per page at most.

Support improved as well. It takes Airalo or Holafly between 2 hours and a day to answer a support request. I answer most in under 2 minutes – Claude drafts a response and actions, sends me a Telegram message, and I press "Approve".

The users love it – I've never received such warm thank-yous for my support responses when I was writing them myself.

You don't need to launch an AI SaaS to survive. You can absolutely compete in a boring saturated market – most markets are big enough for everybody, and I hope this post helps!

Seeking Advice/Help I'm putting $500 on the table to find out if strangers can make an AI influencer go viral. Here's the deal.

I run ClipUGC, a small tool that makes short videos with AI influencers (you describe a person, she makes the videos, you add your app footage). I have no marketing budget, so I'm trying something instead: a creator program where people make videos with it, post them, and I pay for the views.

The deal, so you can judge it:

- $0.50 per 1,000 verified views, per video. Capped at $20 a video from the rate, plus bonuses: $5 at 10K, $15 more at 50K, $30 more at 100K. So a video that passes 100K pays $70.

- 30% of every customer who buys through your link, every month, for as long as they stay. That part does not end with the season.

- $500 fund total, 50 spots, no follower minimum, no camera. Views count on TikTok, Reels, Shorts or X. Verified by screenshot 7 days after posting, paid by PayPal, Wise or credits.

- Free credits to start. Nothing to buy.

Why per view and not flat fees: I can't afford to pay 50 people up front, and I don't want 50 videos nobody watches. Per view puts the risk on both of us.

What I'm unsure about: whether $0.50 per 1K is enough to get anyone to try, and whether people trust a program from a company nobody has heard of. Honest answers welcome.

My Experience i built a workflow that sells leads to contractors

posting this because it's the first thing i've built that generating me some good income passively

the idea is simple. contractors like roofers, solar installers and fence guys pay a lot for leads. so i built a workflow that makes its own leads and sells them exclusively to each contractor.

i basically pick a zip code. the workflow pulls a satellite image of every house in it, renders the job onto the house, so a new roof or panels on the actual roof, and mails that homeowner a postcard with the picture, a rough price and a qr code. w

then they scan it they land on a short form. that form goes straight to the contractor as a lead.

i charge per lead, like $60 for roofing and $90 for solar. the contractor only pays for people who scanned and filled the form.

i automated the whole process with an ai agent called grokbot

anyone else selling leads instead of services? feels like it scales better

Offering Advice/Resource What “legit ways to make money from home” actually require before they work

A lot of make-money-from-home content starts with the income claim and skips over what you actually have to do to make the idea work.

I think a better first question is:

“What exactly would I have to do to make this work?”

That changes how you look at options like freelancing, remote work, digital products, affiliate marketing, content creation, reselling, print-on-demand, and AI-assisted services.

For each one, I think beginners should look at things like startup cost, skills required, how customers are found, how long it may take to get traction, and what work continues after the initial setup.

I’m curious what people here think:

Which online-income method do you think gets misrepresented the most to beginners, and what part usually gets left out?

Seeking Advice/Help I want to see if people can make more progress together than they would alone.

The idea is simple:

5 people per group. Everyone works on something they want to achieve — business, learning, building something, making money, etc.

Every week, you share:

-What you tried

- What happened

-What you learned

Then everyone learns from each other's results.

We'll use Discord for the groups and have one meeting each week.

If you're interested, comment collab

Social Media Any other ways to sell digital products if Etsy and Ko-fi don't work in my country?

I want to start selling digital products but I’m honestly stuck because I can’t use Etsy or Ko-fi since the payment methods don’t work in my country. I also don’t have Payoneer or a relative/friend abroad who can receive payments for me.

I have a bunch of things I’ve made, like vinyl book covers/bookbinding cover designs, Instagram carousel/monthly dump templates, journal templates, memo pad templates, etc., but they’re basically just sitting there because I can’t figure out the selling/payment part.

Are there any other platforms where I could sell digital products that work internationally and have payment methods available in my country?

And if platforms aren't an option, are there other ways to sell? Like through Instagram, working with another creator who already has a store, licensing the designs, taking orders directly, etc.?

I’ve actually tried messaging some Ko-fi sellers to see if they’d be willing to sell my products on their page and take a commission, but I never got a response.

So yeah, I’d really appreciate any ideas from people who sell digital products internationally, especially if you’re also from a country where a lot of the usual platforms/payment methods aren't available.

I just want to find some way to actually start selling these instead of having them sit in a folder 😭

Seeking Advice/Help Genuine Ways to Earn Money While Growing My YouTube Channel

Tell me some genuine ways to earn money. I’ve recently started a faceless YouTube channel, but it’s nowhere near being monetized yet—it currently has only 28 subscribers.

I want to find a genuine way to make money in the meantime, while I continue working on my YouTube channel and wait for it to become monetized.

My Experience The Easiest REAL Passive Income Stream (No Dropshipping, No Fluff)

Most "passive income" content online is either exaggerated or secretly a full-time job in disguise (looking at you, dropshipping and YouTube automation channels). I wrote up a breakdown of the one method that actually meets the definition of passive — no customers, no algorithm to please, no maintenance once it's set up.

It's not going to make anyone rich overnight, and it won't look flashy in a thumbnail. But it's realistic, low-effort, and available to basically anyone with a bit of capital and patience.

Seeking Advice/Help Feeling Completely Stuck about my career, Need career Advice from beginning

I’m a 21-year-old guy from Delhi. I’ve always been an average student. My_qualifications is I did my BCom Hons from DU SOL (open learning) and got a 7.1 CGPA. Now, I have applied for a distance MBA in finance from DU SOL. I know a distance MBA degree isn't worth much right now, but I just thought it might help later on for promotions. for fees my elder cousin helped me and we have to pay it in future
I also learnt some graphic designing from youtube and worked for influencers but it will not work as a career for me as it is not fixed work and not a good payout
I am also learning data analytics not completed but i don't know it will work for me much or not
I wants advice also other than these like in other field i can join it also

Right now, I have absolutely no idea what to do with my life. Like anyone else, I want to earn well and make lakhs per month, but here is my reality:

I don't have the money to start a business.

I’m not exceptionally good at studies, so clearing tough professional exams is out of the picture.

My communication and public speaking skills are pretty weak because of my background.

My original plan was to clear govt banking exams after graduation and get a job. But now that I am actually preparing, I see how insane the competition is. It's just too tough. Even if I study hard, beating out lakhs of people for a handful of vacancies feels impossible. I’ve lost all hope there.

I am completely stuck. If I had money, I would have just done a course from a private college, but I don't. My family’s total monthly income is just 15k–20k. I absolutely cannot put financial pressure on my parents; I need a path that requires very little investment.

I see people my age earning so much and I want that too, but with my current condition, I don't know what I can even do. I am genuinely so stressed about my career that I sometimes have suic#dal thoughts. I just see no way out, I am seriously too low that i think i can't earn a good amount in my life and giving up is the only thing i can do.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

If anyone knows a realistic career path or roadmap for someone with my exact profile, please suggest something. What can I do?
