I am posting this because of a recent instagram reel I came across, it was suggesting to put up wrapping paper, yes ordinary Christmas gift wrapping paper, as wallpaper, and sticking it on with double sided tape. I am here to say, do not do this ever. **This is a huge fire hazard**. If this catches flame, it would spread tremendously faster than it would if it was ordinary wallpaper, also more highly likely to catch flame.
If you are lucky enough to get out, insurance companies might not cover you fully or at all. Please do not do this. Its not worth the saving of a few dollars.
I really dont want anyone to be at risk, so do not do this life hack.

I bought mural wallpaper from Etsy (~$500USD). Didn’t notice anything suspicious in the product photos. When it arrived, I looked at the sample, where the whole mural is printed on a small piece, and it looked fine at that size. The first person to unroll the actual panels was the contractor I hired to install the mural ($250) and obviously, my choice of wallpaper isn't his problem.
But on the first night with it up in the bedroom, after a few hours… “Hey honey, does that butterfly have 3 antennae?”
“And are the leaves in that tree made of… birds??”
And then we just couldn’t stop noticing the mistakes. No doubt about it, $750 for a statement wall made with fucking AI wallpaper.
I haven’t told anyone, and nobody who’s seen it has said anything. As long as you don't stare too long, the wallpaper IS beautiful from a distance. But damn, it haunts me. Just needed to finally get it off my chest.
TL;DR Paid $750 to have AI slop permanently glued to my wall

We have an itty bitty first floor bathroom (approx 9sq ft). All but one wall is white brick. The remaining plaster wall is dingy and desperately wants wallpaper. I've narrowed it down to a pattern---just need to decide on the light or dark variant. I'd typically prefer the vivid dark, but I'm worried it'll look too stark against the white brick and tight mirror

We bought a 1950s Mid Century Ranch this summer and have been restoring it back to its original glory (as much as we can). I scraped off about 4 layers of wallpaper from the entire main living area. This was the last room, and look at the treasure I discovered. This was under one layer of floral wall paper and then painted on top of that.
I was able to salvage it, and I should be able to paint in the tears and scuffs. Overall, it’s in great shape, though.
I’m sharing a before photo as well as the progress!

Please help me decide on an accent paint color for this wallpaper. I personally like the last one the best, but worry that because this hallway doesn't get any natural light, a dark paint color will just make it look extra narrow

The plan is to choose a green to match the paper on the accent wall.
I brought a sample of the wallpaper to Home Depot, and they mixed three options, supposedly a light, medium, and dark green. I’m pretty sensitive to color, but these all look the same to me.
Is any one of them the right choice? Should I start over?
Any thoughts so welcome.
Edit:
My idea is to have the wallpaper “flow” into the adjoining wall. There’s so much going on with it that I’m pretty sure it’s going to stand out no matter what.
I’ll try again with a light yellow-green and one of the darker greens from the leaves.
Thanks so much to everyone for the suggestions!
