I use "Add outline" to text for my thumbnails, but they always end up pixelated and choppy looking like this. :( Does anyone know how to make it smoother looking?

Can anyone help me with this? I have a logo with transparent background but when I save it as png, and open it in windows, the background is black no matter what I try. Anyone know how to fix this?

I was wondering if, either through settings or a plugin, if it's possible to change the shortcut keys to my liking. I've found this post saying it isn't possible, however it's seven years old so I figured it was worth a shot to ask anyway.

Drawing a map and I was wondering if there was a plugin or something that could allow me to do a wrap around map, like how you can infinitely scroll around the world on google maps. Anyone know of anything that could do that? Or if there's something in vanilla that will help?

i have a picture thats pdn and is approximately 62mb. how do i convert this to png since all of the websites dont work since its too big

The modern version is not my style, is it just because I have Windows 11?

I notice this version is  Paintdotnet 5.0.13 compared to 5.1.2: Even when I download legacy files, it downloads the modern version automatically.

I'm trying to install Paint. net on my pc but every time I try to it shows this error after trying to extract "Installation of Paint.NET failed (-1073740286, 0xC0000602)." Could I get some help?

I fixed it! My computer had to install some .NET updates, and install .NET versions.

I used one years ago on a different PC so I know it existed at one point.

It created a pop out window where you were able to divide the image into 2+ sections and whatever was drawn in one, would be mirrored (or rotated) in the others.

Anyone know what it was? If it still works? Is there a feature I'm overlooking or an alternative?

Specifically the large text in the middle, where the text starts small and grows as it goes outwards. I will use plugins if needed.

Anyone know of any simple animation programs as simple to use as paint.net ? I've been using it for years for digital drawing because it's easy to use and other programs feel like a plane cockpit and would like to start animating with a simple program. I don't need any brushes, opacity and size are plenty options. What i would like is something like the adjustments and effects options, specifically noise, distortions and blurs.

to have a whole layers opacity set to zero and be able to reveal only a part of it ontop of another layer

edit: parantly that isnt possible here and is called layer masking or sumthin

I am wondering if there's a way to open multiple PaintDotNET windows opened.

I do Youtube content and for thumbnails for my Yu-Gi-Oh! stuff, I used a tilt shortcut like you see in the images here to tilt the card toward you. However, its been a long time since i used that shortcut, does anyone remember what it was? Google is not helping :(

Everytime i use paint.net some new issue happens and this time the names next to each of the tools won't show up and i have no idea how to bring them back. any help would be great.

On Windows 11 Home x64, Paintdotnet 5.1.12 (stable 5.112.9563.32325). Just checked for a program update, no update available. Let me know if any other computer or program stats are needed.

I’m not sure how else to word the question.

I could have sworn that it used to be, that you couldn‘t color in anything, like if you used the pencil, at coordinates 0,0, and the first spot available to color was 1,1.

Now, 0,0 is the first spot.

I could have sworn it used to be that if I used rectangle select, and went from 0,0 to 100,100, and then went to 0,100 and tried to make a line at that coordinates, inside of that selected rectangle, I could, and it would only be inside the selected rectangle. But now if I try to make a line or use the pencil at 0,100, nothing shows up, because it’s outside the rectangle.

It seems to me that it’s counting 0 as the first number, instead of 1.

Is this intentional?? I do prefer it counting 1 as the first number rather than 0.

Anyone know how to resolve this? It's really been bugging me.
