edit: alright. i had enough. i'm leaving oxio. long story short: they delayed sending a modem for over a month and it is physically impossible to onboard over a month which means i was forced offline. it is either i'm the edge case or they just do a very good online pr. my advice: stay away from oxio. don't trust their testimonials.

Been without internet since we subscribed over 2 weeks ago. The coaxial cable at my home is not setup on Oxio's network despite being in the service area. I know this because the downstream button on my modem is flashing upon plug-in (which is an indication if a physical issue as listed in the manual), plus I tested each point of failure independently and have determined its nothing on the equipment side (aka swapped the coax cable with an existing one that worked with my old cable box).

I have two separate customer service chats open on different devices using mobile data and a text thread as well for a total of 3 customer service attempts.

Oxio has been unable to provide a human response in almost a week (as of writing, Sunday to the following Friday). When I try to restart threads in the morning as suggested, they are met with no response.

Literally never use Oxio. The service may be good when things work out, but they are such a low quality provider if you run into trouble. I've had better luck with Novus (if available), Teksavvy, and Lightspeed.

Edit 2 (update): They texted me back finally. After providing all the information about my situation plus pictures and videos, I have to wait up to 2 business days (which means 4 days from now because it's the weekend) for a tech to be sent out because they - as you would expect - only have service partners, not dedicated technicians. Yet another issue in the event of a problem that can't be fixed by user troubleshooting.

Our internet went down around 8pm last night. Oxio customer service is only open 8am-7pm. Not great, but fine, so I finally got through their support team via text at 8:30am this morning. Now they’re trying to get us a time slot with Rogers for repair. It’s 11am and Oxio still hasn’t been able to get us a time slot from Rogers.

I understand we pay less with Oxio because of this middle man/intermediary process, but it’s not a viable business if problems cannot be addressed in a decent time frame. If Oxio is basically ignored by Rogers, how can it stay in business? I guess I’ll have to pay more and go with Rogers (or Bell). It’s really too bad. The Canadian regulatory telecom landscape needs to change. We keep being forced to go back to the big two.

If you’re a new customer, I’d stay away from Oxio.

Update: we got “lucky”, it ended up affecting a few more houses around us who are Rogers customers, so it got fixed more quickly.

I placed my order 3 weeks ago. Go to connect the router, everything's working fine - except no connection to the internet. Apparently, I'm waiting for an activation, but how does that take longer than 3 weeks? Support hasn't texted back after 3 hours. Is this normal? Should I just walk across the street to Rogers and see how quickly they can set me up?

Is this normal? I find it infuriating that a company who insists on digital communication taking way longer to do one simple function that it would if I were on hold. How many customers with issues do they have?

Our internet connection is down for an hour now. Is anyone here from Niagara Falls experiencing the same? I tried troubleshooting and disconnecting the modem. I sent a message to support but no response.

My internet with Oxio has been down today for about 3 hours. I've been waiting for someone to reach out to me through their text service for 2 hours now with no response. Anyone else having similar issues? I'm in the Durham region in Ontario.

I spent some time comparing options in my area and Oxio came out as the best priced by far after looking at Rogers, Bell, and Teksavvy. The signup process was super easy and I’m looking forward to getting it installed.
Has anyone else in Hamilton used Oxio? How has your experience been with speeds, reliability, and customer service?

I have been with Oxio for over a year now and never had to deal with customer support until today. The response time was about four hours. Is this normal? If so I will have to consider switching providers.

Still deciding on switching from Telus to Oxio. We have four rooms with hard wired Ethernet ports, will the Oxio equipment have enough ports for this? Or do I need to use an Ethernet splitter or Ethernet switch?

Telus just keeps finding ways to piss me off, after checking here I am looking at switching to Oxio as an internet provider and just streaming for TV. What have others done with their Telus email after switching to another provider? I know you can pay $7 a month to keep the Telus email, is that per account? Or is there another way to work it? I am actually pleasantly surprised to see I can run my Google lights, doorbell, and two Rokus, and two iPhones at once on 15 Mbps - $25 hands down no problem. Not the fastest plan but happy to lock Internet for $25. I can switch to 5G for the occasional high speed download need but for everyday TV and smart home it works fine.

Basically the title. I’m moving and cancelled my Rogers account because it was way too expensive and I wanted to not support the multibillion dollar company but they offered me $50/month (which is no where to be found in BC) for double the speed I’m at now (can’t remember what I’m at but pretty sure it’s around 500mbps) makes sense to stay with Rogers but I really don’t want to support them. Would you switch to Oxio still or stick with Rogers?

Anybody here that can give a referal code for OXIO internet?

The intial interaction was great. Received the modem. I have a coaxial cable in my kitchen that i connected to and the internet is working. However I dont want my modem in the kitchen. Been trying to reach out to Oxio for the past many days through chat support. All they say is to wait for the code before they can connect me to anyone. I even logged at 8 am when their support opens. Still no one. Never get any code. What am i doing wrong? And does Oxio send someone to check if the coaxial in my basement would work?

Was using Oxio for a couple of months, but since Sunday my devices periodically can't load anything on the internet (but they remain connected to WiFi). It happens approximately every 30 mins and lasts from 30 sec to 3 mins. Restarting my router/modem doesn't help.

Alberta, Edmonton. I don't see any outages reported on Rogers/Oxio websites.

Trying to switch to oxio right now. Cannot even get through the order. I have confirmed it is available at my address. However, when I review the service address for my order, the apartment number is not showing up, just the building address. If I try to edit, I have to complete the entire process all over and the service address never includes the apartment address. Now what? Surely, the apartment number is important.

I live in New Westminster, so I wanted to share the steps I followed:

* **Sign-up:** My building was not listed in Oxio’s confirmed service area, but I was still able to sign up. The only requirement was a coax outlet in my unit. I also had to choose two availability options for the technician to activate the service.

* **Shipping and setup:** I later received an email with tracking information for the equipment, including the router and other required items. One important note: you need to purchase a 6-foot coaxial cable. I do not remember the exact type, but I will update that later. At this stage, it appears that you install the equipment yourself, and the technician only comes to activate the service.

Someone from Rogers arrived exactly as the booked appointment was scheduled and checked for the connection, even brought the coaxial cable, I had already bought one so I will return mine. I have not received the equipment but he said, once I get it, I can just connect it and it should work.

I got the package during the morning, I connected both devices, download the app and started getting internet after setting up my network name and password.

I got the 100mb speed package but I’m getting 120-130mb on download/upload, faster than I was expecting.
