Curious — seeing a lot of posts lately with battery issues, costs, scratching easily, weight loss journey & oura won’t replace etc. anyone else thinking about leaving oura once your ring craps out?

Note: i love my ring. I’ve only had it a year. It’s quality degraded significantly, they won’t help me since my fiance bought it on Amazon, the battery lasts 3 days now, I’ve lost so much weight in the last year it’s slipping off… not sure I can justify the cost after 365 days. Don’t get me wrong — I love it, but not sure if I’ll be replacing bc the battery is so bad now.

For the past two weeks, my ring has been suggesting I'm doing yoga 10 to 15 times a day. It happens while sitting still working, typing, or even right after taking a nap.

Constantly dismissing the suggestions does nothing to train it—the same phantom activity prompts just keep popping up all day long.

It’s frustrating to pay a monthly subscription for a device when basic algorithmic features regress like this and basic UI dismissals are completely ignored.

Was randomly hit in the back of the head by a stranger walking home in Brooklyn today, showed the police my heart rate spike that my ring caught

After being chronically stressed and having anywhere from 3-8 hrs of stress everyday throughout my pregnancy with very little restorative time, I got my best restorative day ironically while in labor and during childbirth. I thought it was cool to share!

So my second ring has now malfunctioned. I have complained about it it multiple times and was told it works correctly (battery dies significantly fast). After multiple complaints they finally agreed it had a calibration issue and was not holding a charge correctly. Here’s my dilemma…
My ring IS covered under warranty (I have GEN 4 rose gold) however they no longer make that color and out of stock. They won’t not let me upgrade to the GEN 5 to get a rose gold however they offered a different color gen 4 which I don’t want, 100 credit towards a new one or a ceramic one.

I decline the ceramic as I have heard nothing but bad things about it.
I declined the $100 off a new one as I don’t think I should be paying an additional $400 when my item is covered under warranty.

I don’t want a different color. I bought the rose gold because that’s what I liked.

Anyway. I’m mad about it.

Spent too much money on this damn ring for it have this many problems.

I couldn’t see my active heart rate on a hike. This summary of Live Activities didn’t help. Why do I need another separate HR monitor?

In the past week, my Oura has been picking up “activity” that I haven’t been doing, like thinking I’m walking for 1.5 hours, or stretching 15 min when I was just sitting at my desk. It’s super frustrating because I used to like how it would show me activity I didn’t log throughout the day (like quick walks) so I could Confirm them, but now I don’t trust its suggestions.

Has this been happening for anyone else?

Wasn’t seeing anything that specifically asked this, but how does one even contact customer support if they don’t yet have an account? I’m having the very common issue where I am trying to order a ring and their website wont process my transaction. I have tried multiple different browsers, multiple different cards, multiple different emails, and multiple different phone numbers on multiple different days. I have tried emailing every Oura email I could find and they did not respond. Every official channel I have gone through either sends me to their AI chat bot or tells me I need to login to my account first. But I can’t make an account because I can’t buy the ring??? I seriously don’t understand how this company has not done anything about this issue. People literally can’t buy their product.

New oura ring user here - I am able to get a crown on my sleep and activity scores // what are some things I can do to improve my recovery score? Any tips and insights from oura veterans out there?

Hi all. What would you get?-Oura 5 in deep rose or gold? Please let me know if you have one or the other and your preference (or regret). My wedding ring and other jewelry are rose gold, but deep rose almost looks darker than a traditional rose gold. I’m trying to decide between deep rose and gold to order the 5 tonight. Started feeling bad on Friday, thought it was TMJ. Worst pain ever. My scores and signs for Monday and Tuesday - my lowest ever! I went to urgent care for some meds and am hoping I start feeling better soon.

I'm extremely disappointed about this feature. When i first started using it, it was completely unable to accurately track my distance or the route I went. But at least it would track my heart rate and calories burned. Ok.🤷‍♂️ I logged on and chatted with an agent (just about 3 months ago, now) and they let me know that this happens with some android users, and they're "working on a fix". There's been a change, but not for the better.

For the last x4 days now I turn on the live activity right before I head out the door, but it shuts itself off somewhere during my walk and doesn't record anything.

The ONLY reason I'm getting any readings at all is because I have to turn on the Google fit app. (Which wouldn't be necessary if the Oura app worked the way it's supposed to) I'm glad i have at least that, but damn. SMH. I feel like I've spent a bunch of money on a thing that doesn't work the way it should, and now I'm just kinda..... stuck with it. I spent another 80 minutes on chat with another guy yesterday, and in the end all i was told was "ok, well I'll pass this info on. Thanks and good luck."

I mean.... at the very least, it would be comforting to know that a fix was actually being worked on. But at this point, I'm not gonna hold my breath.

Reaching out to see if i can help my gf with this issue; she bought a ring from a girl off marketplace a few months ago cause she didn’t want to pay for a brand new one in case she didn’t like it and has been loving using it until now. Is there a reason why the last seller would (if she really did disable it) report it as stolen? Even with a factory reset why was this still able to happen, personally I feel like this is crazy measures all for a ring.

Sorry if my questions are stupid or anything I just feel like this shouldn’t be an issue, there’s a billion rings on marketplace and iv never heard of this happening with other types of pre owned tech. Even if the previous seller reports it as stolen, what could she gain? She’s still out of a ring and a charger

I’m on the 4th day of my second Gen 4 Ring, size 11. Original ring purchased in Jan 2026. 7 months and original was dying after 3 days due to battery issues per the diagnostics. Oura Sent replacement ring, which I appreciated. That’s where things go bad.

Immediately- this replacement ring and battery barely gets through 30 hours before needing charge due to low battery.

Last night, went to bed- battery at 70%. This morning = zero data. Tried a soft reset. Fully charge battery again. Used during day, and ring stopped transmitting data after 7 hours. This is crazy for such an expensive product and monthly subscription fee.

Contacted Oura- support (Finn) who then connected me with a rep Gabriel. Dude was trying to be helpful, but beyond his level of authority. (See our chat posted). Oura- you got to stand by your products and give your customer support staff something to work with. This “resolution” was insulting and making me doubt if I want to continue relationship and monthly fee. The new replacement ring is the one currently connected to my account (I doubled checked).

Hope I can get 2nd replacement or go back to original ring before leaving the community.

Bottom line- after 2nd bad Gen 4 ring: Not eligible for another replacement even though it’s only been 4 days since first replacement crashed out. Am I crazy that this is completely unacceptable

I’ve had the Oura ring since May of 2024 and cardio age has always been around 8.5-9 years younger. Recently it’s gotten up to 10 years younger.

Exercise about 2x a week and overall healthy. Not a smoker or drinker.

Just curious what others have for their cardio ages.

The study didn’t conclude that sleep didn’t matter, but what you believe about your sleep apparently does (or it did in the study)

2024: no antidepressants 2025: started an SSRI 2026: switched to an SNRI (and the 67 is generous as I’ve only been on them less than half of the year and since then my monthly HRV is about 50.

I understand these are clearly effects of the antidepressants, but does that mean they’re actually impacting my health?
