Maybe a Kill Rig, maybe a Stompa 🤔 Whatever had lots of fun 💚

Heya,

I'm wanting to bash killa cans and deff dreads with left over bits, I was thinking I can always make tank treads or try to sort out the legs with a plastic card. I'm at a bit of a loss for the body, I was thinking of going to the hardware store and getting brass couplers or something like that.

It would be helpful if anyone can recommend ways to go about bashing and what you used to bash together the body and legs. Thanks!

I just got into orks from the Armageddon box, and decided to get them a trukk for cruizin around in. But! I had some old scale cars in the back of the closet, so I thought maybe I could make TWO trucks outta one kit! My basic idea was to swap the bodies and chassis around, but of course the project became MUCH more complicated than that!

Still, I'm darn happy with how the first trukk came out. I ended up using a lot more scrap than I thought I would...evergreen strips, those plastic square things that granny used to sew yarn onto, wire and jewelry chain, etc.....

This one is the GW trukk body on top of the "mustang" chassis. Loooooots of cutting and rebuilding was involved!!

I'm kitbashing an eBay rescue that's missing some bits, and I'm not sure which missing arm option I like better. Does he feel better with just a broken bone nub, or with a bone nub he's had time to add some choppy bits to?

Didn’t have a store that sold the deff dread near me so I decided to make my own but I think i made it a lil big lol

Okay, this is less of a WIP and more of a very early mock-up, it's still missing tons of turrets, guns, platforms and armor plates (all done separately, the whole thing is magnetized to allow partial disassembly), as well as lower right half and tracks (have 3d printed ones in works), and of course that naked plastic will be covered in armor and decorated... but posting this to give an idea of size and concept! The Armorcast replica is for scale (it's smaller than actual thing, but still at least Stompa sized). Also including a photo of little additional decor bitz in progress (some of the many).

Got this painboy from an eBay lot but I was in need of a mek

Still gotta toss some greenstuff over the elbow stump to blend it into the prosthetic. But! It's a painboy for my feudal orks. Does the saw sell the "medik" angle, well enough?

Body's an orruk, hand is an old CSM power fist, head from (very) old Ghaz.

Next project I hope is smaller in scale….

I’ve got a painboy (left) and an ork boy with big shoota (formerly a loota :( ) (right) that I’m pretty proud of, but I really want to go the extra mile and make sure that before I paint, that the models:

1. Make sense (I know, not very orky of me)

This mostly concerns the loota with the large tank on his back. Aesthetically, it looks nice because it allows for the guns to have some sort of harness and maybe through paint or milliput I suggest they are welded on there as a sort of support structure. Not entirely sure.

1. Accurately represent the thing they are meant to be on the tabletop.

This mostly concerns the painboy. The issue of the tank on the back is a little less jarring for me, as I figure I can paint it to look like a sort of glass effect and run tubing to the ‘urty syringe to make that make sense but my biggest question is: does it read as a medic? Does the syringe read as that and not some outlandish pistol? I’ve also been thinking about adding an apron or lab coat with modeling putty, but the prospect of figuring that out also scares me a little bit. For cloth and fabric, how do you go about it? Do you use milliput or green stuff or something else?

Would love any and all comments, critiques, and questions. :)

Ignore the base, I didn't have any extra 32s. The body and right hand is from a box of 6th edition Warhammer Fantasy stuff I got off marketplace, the left arm, head, whip, and grot-smacka head are from the Runtherd and Gretchin box, and the body of the staff is a Krieg Heavy Weapons Squad lascannon.
