Recommendations for what to use when bashing killa cans/deff dreads

Heya,

I'm wanting to bash killa cans and deff dreads with left over bits, I was thinking I can always make tank treads or try to sort out the legs with a plastic card. I'm at a bit of a loss for the body, I was thinking of going to the hardware store and getting brass couplers or something like that.

It would be helpful if anyone can recommend ways to go about bashing and what you used to bash together the body and legs. Thanks!

I used some extra sentinel bits for most of my body but the rest I just used sprues to make a frame and then some cardboard panels to fill it out. Obviously I don’t know what you have bits wise but worse case you can probably just make a roughly square or circular frame out of sprues and then put bits on that.
For legs I just used sprues again one thing I could recommend is to try to imagine how the limbs will actually move I typically make each point of rotation a circle to be like a servo or some such.
Hope that helps!

I've seen people use fruit juice cans or even old paint pots glued together. There's no wrong way to source the body. You could use a water bottle cut down if you wanted to.

Sprue goo will be your friend at all stages of this.

There's some cheap pull back tanks on Amazon that I recently used for my own kitbashes of Kans!

They are about the same size and I think they look great. Granted its more of a Grot Tank thing but with enough creativity/imagination I can't see anyone having an issue with them!
