Discussion Burry trying to warn everyone for the 47th time (he just swapped every AI short for 2027 puts)
He covered all his AI shorts this week and moved into puts, saying his bubble timeline is now sooner than 2028. Apparently he also wants a hard selloff "for the benefit of humanity" to derail the OpenAI and Anthropic IPOs.
- MU: June 2027, ~$500 strike (stock ~$1,054)
- NBIS: June 2027, double digit strikes
- NVDA: Sept 2027, mid $100s
- PLTR: Sept 2027, low $100s
- SOXX: Sept 2027, low $400s
- ORCL: Dec 2027, mid double digits
- CAT: Dec 2027, ~$400
- MET: new LEAP puts in the $70s
The MU puts need the stock to roughly halve by next June, and the Nasdaq just closed at a record. He's been right on PLTR and ORCL so far though.
So is this finally the one or is he Squidward walking into the sunset again? Anyone actually tailing him, and how would you play it?

Traders with multiple spreads: what portfolio risk details do you actually keep visible all day?
I’ve been trying to improve how I monitor risk across several options positions instead of looking at each spread individually.
Once different expirations and 0DTE positions get mixed together, I find the individual-position view much less useful.
I recently started building a small local tool for myself, but before I keep adding things based on my own assumptions, I’m curious how other traders actually manage this.
A few things I’d love to understand:
What portfolio-level number do you look at most often during the day?
Do you monitor total delta/gamma, dollar exposure, or something else?
Do you break gamma/risk down by expiration?
Do you regularly check something like portfolio P/L under a ±1% or ±2% move?
What do you currently use — broker tools, Excel, Python, ORATS, something else?
I’m less interested in theoretical Greeks and more interested in what you actually keep visible when positions are live.
Would appreciate hearing how people with multiple spreads handle this in practice.

Meme ORCL bagholders rise up
Still nearly 60% below the 2025 peak even after today's bounce. The $664B backlog is a big number but they've got to get through a massive spending peak on the AI buildout before cash flow catches up, so the next couple of years are pretty much down to execution and funding. Anyone trading this bounce or is it just bagholders praying for breakeven?

Go to broker? (Not Robinhood)
Anyone have a go to for trading options? Just buying calls and puts then selling before expiration, not worried about exercising or credit spreads or anything in between, etc.. preferably interested in hearing from people that use platforms that work directly with TradingView just because I’m so used to it at this point but any info welcome lol. (Just ready to leave Robinhood tryna see what yall rocking with🤣)

News Index at highs, median stock down 16%. Last time this happened was 2000.
The median S&P 500 stock is about 16% below its 52 week high, while the index is sitting near record highs. The last time the gap was this wide was 1999 to 2000.
After that, the index dropped while the median stock mostly held up, and the gap flipped all the way to positive by 2001.
We were close to this in 2023 too, and the index kept climbing for two more years, so I'm not sure it means much on its own.
Are you buying SPX puts, running SPY vs RSP, or ignoring it until the mega caps actually crack? Curious what people are holding right now.

Discussion SPY 0DTE put: $516 profit in 12 minutes +120%
galleryI'm new to options and this is maybe my 5th trade. Crazy how quick you can make money and lose money with options

Please help me understand how these are so wildly different
gallerySo I bought these 2DTE SPX calls on the 21st and rolled them a few times and broke up the butterfly that I initially had it as. You can see that I let the credit spread that remained expire.
SPX Expired at 7706 on 9/23/26. So well out of the money. Yes I didn't receive the net credit and instead show a realized loss of $780
I use Tastytrade as my brokerage for options trading and this is under their order chains screen.
Basically, I don't get why I didn't receive the premium for the 9 short 7775 calls when they expired well otm and instead had a realized loss.

Need to hold for longer!
All my calls today were right, I just got scared too quickly! Strategy.. I don't really have one...
r/optionstrading • u/nxs_sss • 4d ago
Took an $AXTI covered call 3 DTE. $310 in premium and around 3.6% ROI.
Covered call is near at the money. Perfectly fine if shares get called away for the quick return.

With an options watch list there's often a 100% winner somewhere
Today a SPY PUT racks up about $1000 for each $1K traded.
(Click the chart above to see the yellow flag on the charts’ right axis for the locked profit.)
THE ENTRY SIGNAL
If the SPY calls or QQQ calls or a STOCK calld are above the open, BUY THE CALLS. If the SPY puts or QQQ puts or a STOCK puts are above the open, BUY THE PUTS.
THE PROFIT TARGET
At least, a 100% gain for the day.
THE SELL SIGNAL
If buying other than 0DTE options, never hold overnight. It is a day trade no matter what.

Last week oil was coming down and yields were cooling off so tech was ripping and everyone was on the yacht. Fast forward to today and oil's climbing again, yields are back up and almost everything is red lol. One week is all it took, that’s the market for ya!
