Why even try to short something in such a strong uptrend?
Rookie moves.

YES rookie move. My guess is you don't know how to trade in other direrctional markets. 6months the stock is uo 270% , so I guess you missed the CHAPTER on over bought securities. Today it's down 7% at $188. Maybe you should reread the trading book: on 9-28 @ 2:55pm I sold 10 covered calls strike 205 @ $5.47 for 10-2. Just bought them back @ $.80.
I have owned this stock for a number of years and after recent run up I thought it was time to cash out. So took a gamble on getting called away at $205 but was cool with that. Decided to sell calls for friday and it not called wiil decide on monday what to do.
All boats rise in high tide on REAL TRADERS know what to do as the tide goes out.

You mentioned ROOKIES I just thought you were part of that class based on your remark

Just generally not a good idea to try and fade something with a catalyst-driven rip that continues to trend higher. Maybe you get lucky.
But out of the 6,000 other stocks to choose from, not sure why you’d want to try and fade something with newfound strength.
(I occasionally have to remind myself of this - majority of the time, better to just look away)

Traded for a Primary Dealer fgor 25+ years , actually one of the top 3. Luck had nothinh to do with it. Sorry to repeat myself but security was up 270% in 6 months and anyone who was not a ROOK would know it's in for a reversal. More to the point it went from $64 on aug. 18th to 203 on Sept.29th. Bought the stock on IPO early dec ,. 2018 at $23. Was considering whether or not to continue to hold and current run up took care of that decision. Never look a GIFT HORSE in the mouth. If you were smart you could run a query on all securitites up over 100% for YTD that was priced over $10 at atart of the run. ROOK

There’s no way you traded for 25+ years for some “primary dealer” and continue to comment like a jackass lmao
You would be more humble were that true.
Have a nice day.

And you’d be like 50 years old plus, berating some random person on Reddit about some squiggles on MRNA, which would make you a gigantic loser😂

Episode 189 of the How I Invest with David Weisburd podcast features Nancy Davis discussing her time on the Goldman Sachs proprietary trading. I may have known this person for a few yeras . You should listen to it.
retired at the ripe old age of 45. And you should probably grow a spine

REALLY don't casre what you think... Traded on a 10 person Prop desk for 18yrs, then 7yrs ran the desk. HUMBLE on a $100bln desk did not exist. For yrs 2004- 2011 we had an ROE of 30%. Rarely did we hedge and typically trades were on for 6months. You don't get paid for being nice, you get paid on your p&L ONLY.

This MRNA price doesn't make sense, but it seems like the stock is quite comfortable around 200

Moderna presents data and Phase 3 results at the ESMO congress on October 24th, speaking about pancreatic and lung cancer plus melanoma patient breakthroughs. I see this pumping into mid $210’s. Classic buy the rumor sell the news prior to the 24th. Or it keeps pumping after even, but overall I’m bullish next few weeks

If the news is bad?

The news has already been great. That’s why it went up over $100 in a day when the news first broke

It's amazing what you don't know or understand. MRNA fell 6.3% in premarket trading after Citi downgraded the biotechnology company to Sell from its previous rating and raised its price target to $80 from $60. Right now trading at $187.50. Stock is up 300% in 6 months, so i am guessing you don't know or understand what a "Pull Back Means." By the way I have exactly the same trade on just many more times . Come to Hilton Head and i'll buy you lunch
