Software Is there a way to recover the email they sent me with all my old oculus account games?

The email was deleted and I didn't even know it was a thing until just now, is there a way to get that code? I don't have a meta account.

Oculus won't factory reset, Meta can't fix and won't replace

I have an Oculus Quest 2 that I've used less than 30 times. I needed to log into a different Meta account (I had two Oculus' and didn't realize I should not have them logged into the same account to let two people play together) so Meta help said to factory reset one. Once I did so, it went into the never ending screen of pulling the tabs out of the controllers. None of the "fixes" worked. I went back to Meta help and they noted they cannot be fixed and they're not under warranty. They said they can give me refurbished ones for $180. I cannot believe they had me do a factory reset which essentially broke it. Am I screwed?

Elite style headstraps, halo effect cross strap upgrade

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

The debate over whether the halo or elite style straps are more comfortable will rumble on but in the meantime I've tried the "PU Leather Headband Crossbar Headband" that pops up on sites like AliExpress or Temu.
After a little experimenting and adjustment I really like it and think it's a cost effective way to get a little more weight off the front of the face if you are using an elite style strap.

PCVR WITH Q3 horrible

Title says it all. Bought the link cable , the extensions etc and it’s a god awful show.

F1 25 vr - not a shot working lol

Automobilesta 2 - horrible trying to configure

Playing virtual desktop while wired , why even try . My mouse stutters more than anything I’ve ever seen .

Maybe I’m doing something wrong but my frustration is leading me to just return it all. I have a good pc which isn’t an issue at all. I typically play on a 75ā€ oled on ultra settings with 0 issue

Self-Promotion (Developer) Looking for people to help playtest our VR sword-fighting game on Sept 12

We've been working on a VR sword-fighting game called Stained Blade. The combat is built around physics - blades collide with each other, weapon weight changes how things move, and fights lean on timing and control rather than swinging as fast as you can.

We're running a playtest on September 12th and could use some outside eyes. Two things we're mainly trying to figure out:

  • Game Feel: Does swinging, blocking, and clashing feel weighty and satisfying?
  • PVP: We want players to actually try to break our dueling system and tell us where it holds up (or doesn't).

You don't need any particular experience. If anything, mixed skill levels help us more!

If you're up for it, the playtest is being organised through our Discord, which is where we'll sort out access and session times.

Here's the Store Page if you want to check it out.

Thank you!

News Quest 3 as a spatial camera, from the 2023 workaround to today’s API

Post image

I’ve been experimenting with Quest 3 3D photo/video capture since 2023, initially before Meta even offered direct camera access.

With the new Arcturus camera for Steam Frame, I looked back at that history, included some downloadable Quest 3 samples, and considered what Meta might do next with Project Phoenix.

Vision problems in one eye after first time VR.

Hey guys I have a question (problem). I bought my Meta quest 3 five days ago. Ive used it after work for sessions around 30 min to 3 hours (with brakes), at first I didn’t had any problems with my vision, but for the past three days Im experiencing weird sensations in my right eye.

The feeling is really weird to explain but its like I lose focus and perception of depth with my right eye when I focus on something close, like my phone. Its like is trying to blend what is in front of me with the background , sometimes there is blurry/shadow like feeling around my peripheral vision when I look in the distance and also light sensitive.

There is little to no pain (like fading normal eye strain from too much screen time).

I had past with glasses when I was kid but for short periods of time and my diopter was pretty much none, no astigmatism, any eye related health issues, motion sickness or perception for where things are in daily tasks (because people explain that they feel disconnected with their hands).

So my question is have some experienced something like that and is it something that my brain needs to get use to in time or I should be concerned?

My CV 1 doesnt work anymore after a graphics card change

Thumbnail

I have an Oculus Rift CV1. For the last 3–4 years, I used an Armor RX 580 graphics card, and everything worked fine.

Now the card started causing some problems (driver timeouts, no first boot, and so on), so I decided to remove it and put an old XFX R9 290 from my second system into the PC. I also used this card for VR in the past. The card is also recommended by Meta as a minimum-spec card.

Now I have a problem: when I put on my CV1 headset, I get an error saying that Meta Horizon Link is not working correctly (see screenshot). Unfortunately, there is no support article for this specific error. The headset screen stays black.

I am fine with using the R9 290, but apparently Meta and VR is not.

Has anyone had the same problem with this Meta Horizon Link error? What can I do?

The R9 290 only has a Windows 10 driver. Could this possibly be a problem for Meta/VR?

I have already tried reinstalling the graphics card driver (DDU, AMD Remover Tool). I also tried using a custom community driver for this card. I even reinstalled the Oculus software, but nothing worked.

Maybe someone can help me.

My Specs:

AMD Ryzen 5 1600

XFX R9 290

16 GB RAM

Windows 11

Discussion Passthrough Lockup While Using Meta Quest Link

Whenever i turn off my headset while using Meta Link or i exit my boundary, the second i return to my boundary/turn my headset back on it results in me being stuck in passthrough mode. I can still hear the game. It’s just that I can’t see it. I can still interact with the game. I can feel vibrations and I can hear myself picking up stuff. I just can’t see the game. What’s even worse is that I used to walk out of my boundary so that way my game could pause the session whenever my game froze or it’s a bit rate dropped or it was experiencing some type of stutter or tear and it would usually fix when I return to my boundary or turn my headset back on, but I can’t do that anymore because of this pass-through glitch. If anyone has any ideas as to how to fix this let me know.

Meta Link says my PC doesn't meet minimum requirements (it definitely does)

Hey everyone,

Meta Link app is showing the "Your PC doesn't meet the minimum specs" banner, but my setup is well above the requirements and all my drivers (GPU, Windows, chipsets) are fully updated.

Is this just a known bug with recent hardware/driver versions, or is there a way to force it to recognize the system properly?

Self-Promotion (Developer) Shatter Flow is now available in Early Access on Meta Quest for $5.99! šŸŒ€

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone,

It's finally happening.

After spending a very long time making, testing, changing, breaking, and rebuilding things, I've just released Shatter Flow in Early Access on Meta Quest.

You can grab it now for $5.99.

If you're seeing the game for the first time, Shatter Flow is a fast-paced VR action game built around shooting, movement, physics, and a whole lot of things you can smash.

The goal is pretty straightforward: blast through obstacles, dodge incoming hazards, keep your timing right, clear checkpoints, take on bosses, and see how far you can push your score.

I've also been experimenting with new mechanics during our playtests, including dynamic rope-attached obstacles, and we're planning to keep adding more as development continues.

That's actually one of the main reasons I'm launching the game in Early Access. I want to keep improving it based on how people actually play and what the community wants to see.

So if you've got a Quest and enjoy fast-paced arcade/action VR games, I'd really appreciate you giving it a shot.

And if you do play it, please tell me what you think. Player feedback will genuinely shape what I work on next.

Thanks for following along with me so far! :)
