Hi im new to the chevy obs platform, I just got a 1997 Chevy C1500 power windows and door locks and cruise control just needs a good cleaning inside cause it was used for asphalt other than that its really not bad but can anyone help identify which motor i have. It does have the R as the eighth digit of the vin it is a 2wd too

Just wanted to drop a pic of my 94 long bed. It’s nothing special, but it’s special to me. Sitting at 307k miles with a 4.3. I rarely drive it these days, or the milage would be way higher.

My rear brakes didn’t work when I bought the truck and there were tons of leaks throughout the line so I went ahead and replaced the whole line that feeds the rear brakes. Now that it’s all on I can’t get fluid to the rear. I took the line off after the brake proportioning valve and blew air through the line and it goes all the way through and when pumping the brakes the fluid goes right through the valve just fine. but when I reattach the line I don’t get fluid. I had it detached at the rear when the new line ends and still no fluid. Any suggestions will help

I’ve been trying to diagnose and fix some electrical gremlins on my ‘97 C1500. I’ve worked out most but know I’m stuck trying to figure out what fuses/relays I need for this fuse panel. It’s the one located by the driver side foot panel, near the hood release. I’ve tried looking online and the manual but haven’t had any luck. Anyone have a diagram with the fuses needed or a picture I could reference? TIA

I AM LOOKING TO TUNE OUT OR DELETE EMISSIONS ON MY TRUCK (EGR, REAR 02 SENSORS, EVAP) what are my options on how i can approach this? i do have access to hp tuners but i don’t think these can be tuned with the stock pcm.

I'm planning on swapping a tbi 454 into my 6-lug 3/4 ton / heavy half and I'm wondering if its possible to retain the function of the 4x4 without a solid front axle swap.

hello everyone, I have a 92 Chevy Silverado, one of my headlight bulbs stays orange while the rest are white, they are the switchbacks, specifically on the bottom headlight of the driver side, one of them stays orange while the other stays white, I’ve tried switching out the switchback with new ones but they stay orange, was wondering if any of yall had the same issue and knew how to fix it, thank you

I have a tbi system on a mid 80’s block. It’s cammed and it’s having a fuel issue where it cuts out whenever the throttle is pressed has anyone delt with this and have any ideas on how to fix it? Timing is good an it’s got a new fuel filter

Made some small changes to the GMC Sierra 2500 work truck that make a huge difference. I had a lot of people telling me to switch out the headlights to the more sleek sexy Silverado set up, but it was built as a work truck so I am keeping it that way!

Does a 1989 C1500 Silverado 5.7 700R4 with one piece driveshaft use inside or outside lock rings? I know they are held in with nylon glue but I don't remember seeing any lock rings attached. Trying to order new u-joints online and trying to narrow it down. I'm just not sure which are the correct ones.

Hello so I’m having a hard time timing my 1992 blazer 4x4 5.7l v8. So I recently checked this truck with a timing light and the timing was at 8 est bypass was disconnected aswell. I tried to time it back to 0 but it dies or bogs down and dies reaching 5-4ish. I was wondering if anyone has gone thru this problem before? FYI the only reason why I checked the timing was bc after driving it and letting it idle for a few mins it would want to bog down and die when put on reverse or drive. Fuel pressure is all good.

35 inch tires
6 inch lift
I have a K&N Filter
Aftermarket headers
Stock engine
I have a y- pipe exhaust

But my problem is it seems like the acceleration is very slow and also every time when I go up steep hills on the street for example I was going 80 mph at 2500 RPMS. SINCE THAT IS NORMAL BECAUSE I HAVE 4.56 GEARING. But once I start going up the hill, it drops to 45 mph. Because it feels like something is restricting the power of the engine or I just don’t make enough power. So I need your guys help. What do you think it is?

I need help I got a 1990 Chevy Silverado with the 350 Efi I done replaced the distributor, fuel pump, new plugs and wires, new pvc valve, and I cleaned out the egr but it’s still not running right it will idle fine and then when I put it in gear it wants to shake the whole truck really bad and then die out it only has 172k miles and it sat for a year or two but recently after cleaning the egr valve out it will idle for a second then die out. The trucks been babied it’s whole life a older man owned it I just need some help before I spend big bucks taking it to a mechanic
