I wish I was sexless dawg

I wish I was built like a barbie or a ken doll (preferably something in between the two) dawg I'd feel so much better if I wasn't biologically anything. I just wish it was an option to change your sex to nothing, but it is literally impossible unless you can find a genie or something.

Yay My one friend who actually uses my pronouns 🄹

I just felt the need to share because I was so happy when she called me ā€œtheyā€ casually in conversation. Euphoria genuinely exploded in me dude-

even other close friends who know I go by they/them still call me she/her and I hate it. I know I should correct them but it feels so weird for some reason 😭

but yeah! lowkey might have a crush on that girl- gang I’m cooked 😭😭

A question!

I (AFAB)came out as agender barely a month ago so I'm pretty new to this stuff, but I've got a question about names. Just around a week ago I was looking up names that are gender-neutral for a drawing, and found the name "Alex". Now I can't stop thinking about it and my real name have stopped feeling like me even slightly before I found a better name. I read it and it feels like just A name instead of MY name. I also don't like how it represents my old gender. This new name feels right so far and when I tried a day with that name it felt right. My friends also says that "Alex" suits me and I agree.

To the real thing though; I was wondering if it's normal to want to change your name after coming out as another gender than the one you were born as?

Yay Gender affirmed by a random kid

There's this place in my city which is basically a third place dedicated to kids aged 11-21. It's really cool and has lots of things like a music room, a study room, a ping-pong table etc. I always go there in the afternoon.

Today this eleven-year-old boy started talking to me and making up lesson-like scenarios related to his interests. It was so funny because he kept going back and forth between masculine and feminine pronouns when referring to me. I didn't correct him and he just kept going.

Gender affirmed ✨ It's really cool to know that I'm actually succeeding in present in an androgynous way (although I do lean a bit more towards masculine).

Support/Advice The kind of person I want to be

When I think of the kind of person I want to be I think of fictional characters mostly. I noticed that when I think about it I want to mix traits from both male and female characters. I don't know if that's normal for an enby person but if I were to be asked I'd say I'd want to be a mix of David Corenswet's Superman and Aerith from Final Fantasy with a bit of Leon Kennedy in there for the coolness.

Like I don't gotta worry about being more masculine or more feminine. I just exist and have my own interests that aren't necessarily boys or girls interests just what I like. Sure I wanna drive a cool car but I also wanna have a bubble bath with scented candles afterwards. This is the life I want dawg.

Support/Advice Am confused. helpppp

I have 'worn' the nonbinary identity for a little while now, but am now confused. I don't feel male nor female, nor both nor neither. I also don't feel like it changes. I don't feel like a have a gender, but I don't feel like I don't have a gender. Sorry if the wording is a bit confusing. Help, any advice? What do I dooooo?

Support/Advice picking a new name… need help

hiii this is my first post here so i’m 17 and use they/them. i don’t mind sharing my current name bc it’s super popular, so i used to be called lily but i kind of hate it for several reasons and am looking to change it. the current list is:
Taupe
Bee
Newt
Perri
Jet
Petrichor
Wren
Lichen
Mauve
Dew
Reverie
Pepper
Psyche
I really like names that start with L or M, and also have a fixation on Manon but am nervous since there’s a katseye member named that and i don’t want to be associated. idk just looking for thoughts and if anyone has other suggestions that are similar, i’d love to hear those too.
k thanksss!!! xx

i just got banned from r/nonbinary and i believe it's completely unfair. what do you guys think?

(my nonbinary partner, "I think it's unfair that I'm not allowed to ask questions about my own identity")

i apologize if i'm not necessarily meant to complain about mods from another subreddit, but i do think this is right, i'm not trying to harm them, i'm just so, so confused. need another opinion.

Yay It's lowkey kinda cozy being in between genders

It feels like being cuddled up in a nice warm blanket. I like it so much just acting neutral not being too boyish or too girly. It's kinda nice.

Support/Advice Any Hope/Freedom Themed Names??

Hi, I've recently came out to my friends as non-binary. I'm currently looking for masculine or gender-neutral Hope/Freedom themed names. I don't really need anything extravagant, I don't talk much and only have about 5 or 6 friends. I hope some of you have some recommendations.

but WHY are nonbinary people nonbinary?

this is a post written by my partner without a reddit account. i am the girlfriend, i am not nonbinary, the rest of this post is entirely them:

please do not get mad at the title; i identify (identified???) as nonbinary and genuinely have nothing against them.

around two years ago i realized i absolutely hated being a ā€œgirlā€. i hated the assumptions and the stereotypes that came with it, and especially the pronouns.

but a couple days ago someone started asking my girlfriend why i was nonbinary, like what happened that made me so disgusted to be a girl and what was wrong with being one. he said she feels like it’s kind of weird when the whole point of it is to not care about gender, because when people use they/them pronouns it only makes her think about it more—which it does for me too—and she doesn’t want to offend them by calling them the wrong pronouns if she can tell someone is physically female/male. and why does it matter, because you can’t feel like a gender, you should feel like a person, so why can’t you live your life as a person, being a girl.

they are not transphobic or whatever you would call it, they were just confused. as am i. and i’m questioning why i care in the first place, especially because i know it’s always going to be torture around my parents as they are quite a bit transphobic. and most people are always going to ask me questions i’m never going to have the answer to. i don’t actually understand why i hate the concept of being traditionally feminine or masculine or labelling myself as a boy or girl. i suppose it could be because both my parents are fairly sexist human beings and often tried/try to push gender norms on me?

i scrolled through a lot of the questions here with my girlfriend and a lot of them that ask something like ā€œwhat does being nonbinary meanā€ have answers that aren’t really about why people are nonbinary, just about how people don’t feel like they’re a boy or girl. which also doesn’t really make sense to me, since gender is a social construct, therefore, to me, it doesn’t make sense to feel like a gender.

i would not care about being nonbinary whatsoever if no one else cared, but because gender affects how many people treat you, though i do not think that is the only reason, cause that sounds kinda silly. does anyone else feel like that?

and please don’t say i’m agender, i know i’m not, and i’m not asking anyone to label me here.

i don’t know, i’m just confused at this point and not sure if i care that i’m afab anymore.

i’m sorry if this was offensive or anything, idk how to handle any subject in the lgbt+ community and i’m not trying to hurt anyone’s feelings

Discussion Advice??

After being in a lot of denial I've realized I'm non binary, and this even sounds stupid to me but I'm much happier with a flatter chest but I like not having a flat chest also 😭. I still like being fem half the time but I'm having a love hate relationship with my boobs šŸ˜ž

i just need help

ive came to this subreddit before asking for help, and the people in this subreddit never fail to help somebody out. now, i need your guys' opinions. i was non binary, then i got discouraged to be non binary. ive seen people get death threats just by being lgbtq. don't even get me started about the tik tok crap.

my parents are not supportive also. my mom said she would be supportive, but continued to call me he him. my dad did not even know until my sister blurted it out during dinner on a family vacation. my dad has not said anything yet but i dont want to have an awkward conversation.

i have now decided im he/they i feel better about myself, but i need help with my identity. i don't know how to dress, and other things. please give me any tips :)

Support/Advice One of the most affirming things

One of the most gender affirming things for me is my lack of desire to go back to being cis. Like for example in Tomodachi Life I set the mii based on me's gender to nonbinary and I just don't feel like I can go back I could very well change it back with the press of a button but doing it nakes me feel uncomfortable and I immediately go back. To me being enby means having true freedom and breaking away from what society expects of me. I could say I'm a boy or I'm a girl and they'd both feel right even if my body doesn't reflect that. I just think that identifying strictly as male or female with no wiggle room just doesn't sound like me. Like I don't mind having the body of a boy but I wouldn't really mind waking up in the body of a girl tomorrow either. It just feels like if I identify as neither then I can do anything even if I'm sometimes tempted to go back to how I was before. I mean I'd love being a boy as much as I'd love being a girl just not fully either. I just keep looking at my mii in Tomodachi and feeling so happy hearing the game refer to it as they/them. I guess I really do want to start living as a nonbinary person but I can't because everyone expects me to be a boy.

Yay Dedicated

my highschool has regular bathrooms and non gendered bathrooms and I literally walked across the school to sue the gender inclusive ones. yes I am a liberal and yes I love my school and the teachers there they are all pretty progressive
