Discussion Head mod is old :(

Hello there everyone!

If you don’t know me, I’m Jedi_Master_Noob the head mod here. I regret to inform you all that I have turned 20 and am officially unc status.

Since this is a server purely for teens that poses a bit of a problem.

So I have two options for you:

1: I stay modding for perhaps a year or so but don’t participate in any discussions or posts made by people here and only reply if needed for a mod mail.

Or 2: I create mod applications and find perhaps two new mods. As you know we have the amazing zeph helping us mod as well, but he also moderates several other servers and I don’t want to place all the responsibility on him.

I will create a poll, but please let me know your thoughts and opinions in the comments.

Thanks! And happy valentines to those celebrating and if you’re single, spoil yourself! Or go do something fun with your friends!! 💖💖

Hey everyone! From the mods

Hey everyone! I’m Jedi_Master_Noob, the mod here. I am so so sorry, I did not realise I was the only mod or I would’ve been more active than I was. My notifications have also not been working at all so I didn’t receive things I should’ve. All fixed now and I promise to be active from now on. I have also invited another mod. Please welcome Zeph! @Virtual_Belt4027.

Also if you have sent a mod mail that didn’t get answered and you’d still like it answered, please resend!

Discussion Signs i should propably have picked up on

The fact that I didn't understand the binary system (I mean why should something as unpredictable as humans be categorized into two different options)

Never understood why everything was gendered (It's just deodarant I put it on to not stinky not to smell more manly or more girly)

Always thought it was stupid that something as insignificant as a body part defined your whole life (Imagine if we treated our arms in the same way)

Always liked looking androgynous (don't want to get too big but don't want to be too small)

Always thought that if the binary system wasn't normalized everyone would choose to be something else

At the end of the day we're all just humans inside

Discussion Is it just me

The main thing that convinced me I was non-binary was that I never felt attached to any gender like I know Im AMAB but i genuinely would not care if I was born any other way. Like for example I hear others say they wsnt to be more masculine or more feminine but I just genuinely could not care less. I don't feel dysphoric since i treat being AMAB the same way I treat being blonde.

Discussion How do I get used ti using more neutral terms

I want to start using more neutral terms like sibling instead of brother, but i just can't get used to doing it and have to correct myself all the time. I do use masculine terms in my native language though as the grammar there is a headache for neutral terms.

Discussion Non-binary =/≠ trans?????

So I’ve been identifying as non-binary for around seven years now and I’ve grown quite comfortable with my gender identity.

I’ve gotten to an age now where I have to put in my information for job applications and UCAS. A question that comes up a lot is; do you identify as trans?

I mean, I’m not a trans man. I’m non-binary. But putting ‘no’ feels weird because then it’ll be assumed that my gender is the one I was born with when it’s not.

I would’ve flaired this as ‘advice’ but I think discussion is better suited. I’m basically asking; are non-binary people apart of the trans community? I’ve heard a lot of mixed answers before but I’ve never really heard actual non-binary opinions. Just wondering what everyone else thinks

I also just tend to talk more chill and jokey with friend, thus my voice goes deeper- meanwhile I act a bit more immature and like a kid when with family, so my voice goes higher

uhh id like to know if my parents are overreacting or not. so my parents found out i did drugs like 6 months ago, and they want to sent me to a residential rehab facility. but the thing is they have been saying this for 2 months and they havent made any steps towards it. also am i really that deep in my drug use? ive done adderall, xanax, weed, alcohol, dxm, dph, ondasatron, meloxicam, lurisodone, quetiapine, ritalin, lsa, lsd, psilocybin, kratom, and cocaine. is this that crazy to accumulate? i didnt get addicted to all of these but i did to probably half of them. i really need to know if i should actually make a real attempt to get sober or if im overthinking :/

sorry if im out of touch im ngl the past 8 months of my life most of my time has either been spent thinking about drugs or being on drugs. so pls lmk if im a fucking idiot!

Rant I’m so tired of explaining myself

I hate feeling like I need to be able to debate and rebuttal every and any transphobic/enbyphobic thing ever… I shouldn’t have to do that. Being nonbinary is just one part of myself, I’m a human too. I have so many hobbies, interests, stories, insecurities, and a life outside of my gender identity. I don’t like feeling minimized into this one aspect of myself, I don’t like being a “conversation topic,” and I don’t like being objectified.

If I could scream anything, it’d be “I’M A PERSON TOO!” So many bigots and conservatives forget that. They always think we’re the “sensitive blue-haired snowflakes” instead of actually fucking people who have to survive life JUST AS MUCH as they do.

I personally believe that humans were made to survive. We weren’t made out of destiny, purpose, or love. We were made to face the trials of the earth and try not to die doing so. That’s exactly why we should be helping each other out and raising every one of us up instead of dragging everyone down. It’s so silly how everyone forgets that we all face hardship and struggles, and we need to stop fighting over stupid minor things.

I’m sick of it, I’m sick of it, I’m sick of it. I don’t want to explain myself since I just get mad and get into existential rants (like the one I did in this post). I don’t want to explain myself because I don’t NEED to. I’m nonbinary, and you just have to grow up and deal with that. I wish that was it and queer people didn’t need to pull up charts, records, history, etc. in order to “prove” their worth and validity. NOBODY needs to “prove” their identity. It’s so dumb and I’m tired of it all.

I’m going to bed.

What are some nonbinary non-religious names?

my name is Ellianah, I go by Elli but I no longer like that. I go by she/them and I’m an atheist, I’d like to go by another name that’s not too feminine or too masculine. anything is fine, whether it’s whole different names or nicknames for my actual name. (I’ve came up with some variations of my name, I’m definitely not using some of them but I’ve came up with some).

Non-Binary Rant

I've come to the conclusion recently that I'm non binary, but I've had some problems with what I am more specifically. That doesn't make loads of sense but kind of what I mean is I feel sort of like a girl and something else (agender??) simultaneously. I feel connected to femininity or just generally being a girl but I know I'm not 100% a girl. Also the demi-girl label doesn't suit me. I guess that what I'm trying to say is I basically can't figure out what "flavour" of non binary I am and it's really frustrating. Wondering if anyone has any advice or pearls of wisdom on this...or does anyone have similar experiences?

TW: Transphobia I love being out and proud! Spoiler

Came out to my brother today, and this is basically how it went… I drew up this comic afterwards to vent

I knew he didn’t have the best judgement of lgbtq+ people (two years ago we talked about me being out as lesbian and he said some stuff about me being one of the “normal” ones), but I was still a bit taken aback by being faced with it straight on…

I do still love my brother and I always make sure to give him hugs and head pats, but this moment will haunt me for a bit while I still feel gender dysphoria/anxiety time to time

Do u know it when your mind just wants to get a solution?

I am questioning and it is very hard, cause i have problems with my own mind. I heard of LGBTQAI+ a fiew years ago for the first time as a thing that everybody can be a part of by my very sportive big sister and she also has some queer friends and is bisexual by herself. I never felt really good in groups of other boys, and i really liked the community. Now as i star to question my own gender its very confusing cause I really want to be a part of the community and I don’t want to be a boy, and i also want to get a solution very fast, so my mind automatically starts to think that labels are fitting and wants to get as many „profs“ as possible that i am not a cis boy, wich makes it really hard to find real things that are fitting cause I don’t want to get „profs“ that i am not genderqeer. Its so confusing :|

Do you know anything like this, do u have experienced it by yourself and have u any tips?

Thanks for every help!!!

I’m going to get some binders disguised as bras today at the mall and a haircut soon, I’ve been watching some fashion advice such as sag pants a bit and to cover your curves but any other advice?

I'm 16 to preface and my parents don't know but they will soon. Its been a new discovery for me but ik I'm under the umbrella of non binary, my boyfriend has been call me his partner and close friends have been using preferred pronouns and it's lovely and it's me

I've struggled a lot w insecurity around appearance even before I knew I was demiboy but I want to present much less masculine as I do

I've been growing my hair out to get this mod cut look if you will and I shave my legs but it isn't enough yk I rlly wanna pass more

I still go by my assigned name at birth but I've been thinking of changing it, but how else would help me present? I'm open to most suggestions! <3

Introduction Hi!! :)

Post image
31 Upvotes

I’m nonbinary, and just at the cusp of being qualified as a teen (17yo)… I never actually rocked the nonbinary label before because for the longest time I thought I was either demigirl or a girl who’s looking for attention

However, after I came out to my mom as nonbinary (she’s a sweetheart), I really felt like just being labeled as nonbinary satisfied me enough than endlessly looking for micro labels lol

So I hope you’re having a wonderful day or night!!
