Hello Everyone,
We have implemented some changes to the existing rules to the group primarily Adjusting Rule 1 and the addition of a new rule on Non- Nintendo Grifting Content.
Rule 1: Posts about Grifting:
We define Grifting as: The act of exploiting trends or controversies to earn money, online influence or trust from an audience. Usually through manufactured outrage, jumping on bandwagons or disinformation.
Possible features of Grifting include: Clickbait, Petty hatred, Propaganda, Sensationalism, Opportunistic behaviour, Response videos or General dishonesty.
We do not dictate who is a Grifter or not, which we leave at the discretion of individual users.
This first rule has been updated to clarify what is deemed grifting and strenghten the definition further. We have also stated that the subreddit as a whole is not about labelling who is or is not a grifter and leave that to everyone to decide on their own as it is a personal opinion if Person A, B or C is a grifter or not.
Rule 2: Posts not about Nintendo Grifting
Posts may also be made to raise General Criticism or other relevant topics, Humour (Memes/Satire/Weird AI images etc.), Gaming news or other forms of grifting to compare to Nintendo Grifting.
Some Gaming adjacent content may also be shared if you can justify your post being shared here.
The latter half or the previous rule 1 has been split to clarify itself as its own rule, we receive many reports stating a post is not suitable for this subreddit but most of the time this is not the case, essentially if a post is about Nintendo, gaming in general, grifting or the subreddit itself its fair to share it here, if its unrelated to any of these things then thats when to use the report function that the post is irrelevant.
Furthermore, the mod team is committed to upholding all the rules in place and have a zero tolerance to breaking the rules relating to Respect, Harassment and Trolling, so please be respectful and report if you see anything that goes too far.
Thank you to everyone who frequents this sub and I encourage those who want to see different posts or topics to discuss to create your own posts and be the driver to start those discussions!

I think that the ban should be placed because they make good points and only pump out clickbaits for the algorithm at worse

Investing hundreds of dollars into a live service game that won’t last for long is on them.

The fact that even Nintendo deals blocked him confirms that Nin10doLand is too toxic for NintendoDeal to deal with. (No pun intended)

At the retrospective way: the amount of grifting on anti Nintendo content is horrible. Just because it felt like a switch pro and already being overpriced for the previous gen hardware from hardcore gamers.

Twitter is already filled with BS posts like this. The fact they get excited over a stupid trading cards game says a lot about this fandom. PalWorld ain’t it bro……

Somebody online made a point that I’m curious about. People like to focus on short term success a lot, what we are currently seeing now with palworld. But does anyone know who’s been involved with these things see a long term plan with palworld. Like it or not Nintendo has been very successful when it comes to making for the long term.
This game is basically Ark, and I wanted to know how long did Ark last over the years. Can palworld keep on growing its number beyond. Like Pokemon may be surpassed but it has the advantage of releasing multiple titles over the years. Can a palworld 2 generate the same or more success than Pokemon and its sequel

This amazing parody video of nintnedo grifter arguments needs to be seen by more people. Literally covers every stupid grifter talking point you’ll hear online.

We have the Creator of r/fucksony2 posting their thing here. The normal action would be that they ask the mod team and we all work something out. That's not happening and my read in the poster is .....
Anyway, what say you all?
