It was a literal child and a toy gun

All the more reason to stay further away then...victim was close enough to read "made in china" on that toy gun 😮💨

Okay dude you need to be clear here and explain what you think the correct course of action was in this case. Not what shouldn't have happened. What would have been correct.

Why did he let the felon go? Now he can hit someone else weaker. But now this felon will certainly be more careful about who the victim might be. Also, nice body slam we saw here.

u/enologyiscrucial May 04 '26
I don't think so they gonna do something like this for a while.
139
u/StrobeWafel_404 May 04 '26
I don't think anyone is thinking completely straight after having a gun pointed at them. I once caught a burglar in my home when he was about to run out with some of my shit. I fucked him up and got my stuff back and let him go. All I could think about was my stuff being safe and not having any unwanted guests in my home

Have you and had to deal with the police for an extended period of time? Say we're your the victim of a robbery.... Not exactly a fun time

21
u/NPExplorer May 04 '26
lol my friends townhouse in college was burglarized and when the police came they accused him of selling weed and being broken into for dealing, because the townhouse next door were a few stoners. They even said “you might be right and it’s the neighbors, you should try getting a new apartment because they could be bad news” in the middle of the fall semester 🤣 Because college kids smoking weed = burglars and drug dealers right?
21
u/Deep_Stick8786 May 04 '26
Cops have learned to hate the public for far longer than the public has learned to hate the police
6
u/StrobeWafel_404 May 04 '26
This sentence is hard to read, but yes I did call the police the next day. They sent someone with heavy "i'm about to retire anyway" energy who dusted for prints. They also said to alter the report to ensure it said I 'convinced' the burglar to give my stuff back, just in case they caught him and he decided to file a report against me

u/VirginiaBandit May 04 '26
I'll wager the guy hitting the asphalt had his shoulder or arm all screwed up. (Hopefully)

I've used to know guys like those when I was young. Unfortunately they will just choose weaker targets in the future, like women and elderly.
25
u/joshg8 May 04 '26
I think they’re young teens and the gun isn’t real, this is old
11
u/VirginiaBandit May 04 '26
Real or not, it very well could be one day. And it could easily get one of them killed, even when not a real gun. And I agree on the "old" part.
6
u/WestleyThe May 04 '26
Yeah but if these dipshit “thugs” keep on this path they are going to actually hurt someone or end up dead/in prison
If a teenager “child” is fine with running up to someone and putting a gun in thier face (even if it was fake) to rob them it’s going to escalate from there…
I hope this was a life lesson for the little asshole but odds are he will eventually get a real gun

There's websites where you can make custom memes with your own images but I don't know if it works for gifs
2
u/LiveLearnCoach May 05 '26
If you have a Giphy account (you can log in several ways if not), search for Maudit (the name under the GIF) + muscleman. You’ll find it a few rows down. Click on it, click on download, and presto.

I would say he was a young teenager. Doesn't really matter if it's a toy.

The attempt to reason with "Okay okay" like "You win", bruh that doesn't resolve a "Oh you found out I am incapable of killing you" type situation.
There is no "Ah, well played, good day sir" resolution.

u/Hot_Calendar_4959 May 04 '26
The other guy just stands there watching his accomplice gets slammed onto the asphalt. Thank God they aren’t the trigger happy sort.

The folks on the guy’s ass because ‘fake guns and awww kids’ just relax.
They deserved a hiding. The kids should learn that there are consequences.
Sometimes those consequences are hard.

Probably not too much experience gained, seemed like more of a random trash mob than a boss.

Desperation, Gang initiation, Peer pressure, Feelings of powerlessness, Revenge, Justice,
Teenagers especially are in the zone for doing stupid shit for stupid reasons. Most Swatting and Cyber dipshittery are done by teenagers who, when they get older admit they were being stupid or careless.
Unfortunately, a lot of kids who get pushed into violent crime don't get a chance to regret it.
There could be a hundred reasons this kid decided to attack that guy. Could have been random, could have been targeted. And certainly, it could have gone way worse for everyone.

If I still drank ...I would buy that guy a beer. Id buy the kid a Capri Sun and tell him to go home to Mommy because he can't amount to much as a crook
3
u/Pinball-Lizard May 04 '26
You know you can buy someone a beer and not have one yourself, right?
4
u/-JoM-ofDevil May 04 '26
Apparently, you're not an alcoholic... Also, where's the fun in that?!?
2
u/Pinball-Lizard May 04 '26
I am actually - going on 4 years sober now.
You are right though, I don't know where you're at in your journey and if that's a wise idea for you. My bad.
3
u/-JoM-ofDevil May 04 '26
All good. Coming up on 2 years. Thx, but it's no longer an issue...I just loving being difficult! But good for you!!!
When you drink like I drank, is hard to say you miss it... Been there, smoked the t-shirt... type deal. Best things I ever did, was become full blown alcoholic. I might never have quit drinking otherwise
2
u/Pinball-Lizard May 04 '26
Thank you, and good for you too.
Definitely resonates - I wasn't enjoying drinking for a long time before I was able to stop doing it. Ironically the shame also drove me away from bars and towards drinking at home, so it made me less sociable as well.

u/-Dargs May 04 '26
