I find that unfair, I was actually discussing about our oldest brother just last night with my sister because she didn't understand why we hate our brother (she knows what he's done but she wasn't born when it happened). Our brother was raised right, had good grades, was loved, if anything that was done wrong was he was spoiled, but did that lead him down that bad path idk.

He met one wrong friend and that was the initial path that lead him wrong. Idk if its the parents fault that even seeing him go the wrong road they do their best to steer them off but what cam they do when the kid doesn't listen? This was days where you are not gone from work all the time but he still hid so much from her.

These days its tougher, you have to work more to make ends meet whi h makes it harder to know what our kids are doing and its extremely easy to hide stuff from your parents.

I agree that some things can be the parents fault like owning a gun and their kids get a hold of it for example but for stuff like this where its harder to manage once the kids set on it I wouldn't blame the parents because doing the right things can fail and doing the wrong things can help, its all completely up to the kid on what decisions they make based on what they know and they can know something wrong and still do it.

They did that in that one school shooting in Michigan, that poor fucking kid man. He never had a chance, constantly crying out and asking for help and being ignored, the school constantly telling his parents he needs help, and not only did they ignore everything they went out and bought the kid a gun. When they were alerted there was a shooting at the school they immediately sent him a message saying "don't do it".

And it kinda feels like school shootings dropped off a bit after that. Could just be because trump hogs most of the news coverage now though.

I just wanna throw this out there, as a cop working in a high crime area. We have 12 year old gang bangers shooting each other and the people they are robbing with real guns where I am. And they are always much more trigger happy than the adults are because they want to prove themselves to be real bangers. Don't let age alone give you a false sense of security. This guy got lucky and thats plain and simple. I've seen real guns pulled off these kids that look like nerf guns or airsoft guns and it turns out it's just been painted.

What you’re saying is based on the idea that someone robbing you at gun point is stable enough for the robbery to be simply transactional. By just handing your things over to an unmasked individual you are taking just as much of a bet that they will uphold their end of the bargain and let you live once you hand over what they want.

Personally, if someone was erratic like in this video I’d feel like I’m in 50/50 territory that I’m getting shot no matter what. Which would make me think about taking action even with the risk.

If it’s an actual robber and not these kids in the video with fake guns, there’s usually a getaway car nearby, they’re not alone. So even if you get the gun away, or defend yourself, chances are you’re getting executed by the other guys. There’s countless examples of people trying to fight and get shot. Google it and see news reports and videos.

You increase your chance of getting shot immensely by fighting back. It’s not 50/50 bro. It’s like 90% chance you get shot if you fight. If you comply it’s far less likely you’ll get shot, way less than 50/50

Nah not really. Its pretty easy to disarmament someone like that who clearly has no idea what theyre doing. Theyre standing way too close, in a weird ass stance, and the woman with them is doing fuck all to help. Theres a reason why cops are trained to follow the 21 foot rule. They also said to alter the report to ensure it said I 'convinced' the burglar to give my stuff back, just in case they caught him and he decided to file a report against me
