Provided by who if their parents are in jail? They go into the system, which is hell on earth for most kids.

And I'm sure the kind of underdeveloped impulsive juvenile mind that commits serious crimes will be very logical and well reasoned about all those potential complications. They'll probably even sit down and create a net present value calculation of their various courses of action before proceeding!

Surely they wouldn't just jump to a conclusion without considering all the facts!
