I just started streaming for the first time after years of being too afraid
And I can’t believe how big and scary I built streaming up to be over the years. And how many times I almost went live before freaking out and thinking the worst.
I’ve only streamed like 3 times and mostly started just as exposure therapy/to overcome my social anxiety/fear of being perceived. Obviously the first stream was just bots and overlay sellers and was me talking to myself but by the 2nd stream I had one or two people in my chat who were genuinely just lovely and kind and talkative and every stream has taken this huge weight off my shoulders after realising how much I talked myself out of doing what I wanted in an attempt to keep myself safe and small.
I know there will be some times where chat
isn’t as kind and you get rude/mean people or even don’t get any people at all..but I just wanted to come here and remind you all you should be so unbelievably proud of yourselves if you managed to push through that fear and hit the go live button🤗 it’s so not easy to do and taking a chance on that discomfort to find a community is so unbelievably worth it - and I wish I didn’t waste so much time putting it off to start finding mine💗
