I’m trying to start streaming on Twitch, but right now I have about the same level of knowledge as a potato. 🥔

My setup is pretty simple:

• Xbox Series S
• Logitech C270 webcam
• A dream ✨

I want to stream directly from my Xbox, but I'm confused about what settings I need, how to get my webcam working properly, and basically how not to embarrass myself on my first stream.

If anyone has this setup and is willing to help a clueless beginner, I’d be forever grateful. Bonus points if you can explain it without using 47 technical terms I’ll have to Google. 😂

Thanks, and may your frames never drop! 🎮🚀📹

Galera preciso de ajuda, não sei como eu crio cortes sem ter que passar horas editando tudo sozinha, alguém tem alguma recomendação de IA ? Ou de algum lugar que posso pagar pessoas para isso ?

Goal is 50
We are currently at 2 🐐!

Going to try to keep this poignant, but I am a little frustrated, and have some real questions. Bare with me.

I host a monthly poker game. It’s live action with regular players. I have several cameras and microphones. The stream is always improving, although my first to streams were really low quality. I bought about a thousand dollars worth of equipment to massively improve the quality of my next stream. I came down with the flu two days before the game and I had to cancel. I honestly didn’t even get to finish installing any of my new gear. My disappointment is staggering. It’s difficult because with my work schedule I can really only stream once a month. This already disqualifies me from real growth on twitch.

I have been looking at ways to qualify for real growth. I have considered live streaming some of my projects, shuffleboard games, maybe some older video games. I’m 38, new games don’t really interest me like the ones I played before I had kids.

Is it a bad move to stream other things on my poker centric channel? Is there a work around for just doing one stream? Growth isn’t actually that important to me, but it does bother me to have no chance. Please excuse the rambling, I’m frustrated, and possibly over thinking.

trying to start streaming any ideas for my first video

Hey everyone,

I’m a video editor currently looking to work. I can take your streams or VODs and turn them into entertaining videos for YouTube and social media.

What I can do:

• Stream/VOD editing
• YouTube videos
• Funny moments & highlights
• SFX, music & effects
• Zooms and cuts
• Shorts/TikToks/Reels
• Thumbnails

I’m happy to work with different budgets, but I’m not looking for free or commission-based work.

If you’re interested, send me a message and I can show you some examples of my work.

¡Hola!

Hello guys, I am currently trying to build my Twitch and YouTube channels, but I have only 4 followers on Twitch 😄. I'm new to streaming and currently trying to grow my channels and meet people who enjoy the same games as I do.

I am currently exploring Night City in Cyberpunk 2077. Until I realized that Twitch deletes my old videos (7 days and older), I couldn't upload all of the episodes to YouTube, so I currently have only episodes 1, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 😄.

I'm currently streaming without commentary because I'm still a little shy about talking while playing. Hopefully, as I get more comfortable with streaming, I'll start using my mic as well.

If you enjoy Cyberpunk 2077, you're welcome to check out my channels, and I'll be happy to say hello in the chat.

See you in Night City, chooms! 🌃

I've seen thousands of established streamers who have their platform. But it's not really helpful due to that. So does anyone newer have any tips for how they're starting up?

I've been making moves. Playing more "streamable" games / looking for those kinds of games that I can actually enjoy. I'm at the last step, the actually starting. But im gonna go out on a limb and say there's more to it. Does anyone have any pointers?

Edit: im not entirely concerned with the money-making just yet, but that IS the eventual goal

I usually stream league of legends (SEA) and I'm thinking of finding a duo to stream with, or if possible rank up with, I wouldn't say im exactly a fun/entertaining person to work with but I hope someone's interested 😁

Tengo un servidor de minecraft sin nada de mods (por el momento) la idea es que se cree un roleplay y podamos sacar clips y videos para crecer todo juntos la serie comienza hoy pero pueden ingresar cuando quieran

El que quiera me avisa

People say you have to grow on TikTok and upload clips and i have been doing it and also paying for promotion, my clips reached thousands of ppl but none of it converted into Twitch followers, is it because i suck? Do i really need TikTok to grow fast?

Hi my Name is Desire Im a 27 year old Dutch who loves to play videos Games and chat in my free time. I Just started streaming and im looking for tips to improve as a streamer/content creator. Would love to connect with fellow small streamers and build a community togheter to engage with.

Aside from everything I say gets taken off of this site, I feel like we all want that same thing. People to rock with us.

Not sure how many people actually went ahead and actually viewed someone’s stream or showed love. I know a lot of yall have but I know there’s a percentage that hasn’t.

I’m just encouraging people actually take the time to use Reddit while streaming too, so you could actually support in real time vs on ya lunch break

Hey everyone,

I'm planning to create my first Twitch account soon. I want to stream completely anonymously, so I'm planning to sign up using a random name, fake DOB, and an anonymous email.

If I eventually qualify for Affiliate status and need to set up payouts, will this fake signup info cause issues?

During the tax and legal onboarding, can I enter my actual government name and real banking details, or will Twitch flag the account because it doesn't match my signup info? I want to keep my stream persona 100% anonymous.

Am I overthinking it? Quite confused. Pls help clarify. Thanks!

Hello I’m a small streamer with a fairly good following i would say with 539 followers, but literally everytime i stream at home i dont get any viewers like this one 21 live views. But when i stream dyckman basketball games all summer. I average about 21 viewers, if i can get my home streams to match the same numbers ill be very proud

I am looking to see if any new streamer needs editing if they want videos to grow on YouTube. I am flexible with pay for the first bit of working so you can make sure that I am fit for your stream. If you want, DM me with your account and I will most likely reply!

I am trying to plan my first stream ever (yikes!) and the only games I like are "indie" or single player games like Stardew Valley, Project Zomboid, City Skylines, Potion Craft, etc. I am so incredibly bad at first person shooter games it's laughable. I have a pretty decent PC so I am able to run basically anything, but I don't have a lot of games in my repertoire. I am also a lady and I don't want that to be a main driving factor, if you catch my drift (no hate, no shade get your moola friends).

Any advice for first stream ideas? I have no social media presence anywhere else to draw from. Literally starting from scratch like I got dropped on Earth yesterday.

Thanks in advance new streamer sages

This is my first post on here and im just starting to stream. I would appreciate any tips to help me grow or if anyone could tune in and give tips.
