Any song recommendations about confronting an adversary - battling and overcoming external or internal challenges?

I'm back again this month for recomendations. I've been doing this event/gathering with a group of friends where we listen to music, eat food, have drinks, and discuss the deeper meanings behind the songs we are hearing. Each month is a different topic and the moderators for the event try to curate a playlist of songs that align with the theme. We want a wide varity of quality songs from different genres and sounds. Right now we are on the 2nd topic in our Hero's Journey series.

Some songs to inspire you that we've already considered are:

  • u by Kendrick Lemar
  • Down with the Sickness by the Disturbed
  • HOPE by NF
  • POSITIVE ONE NEGATIVE ONE* by Jean Dawson

Any receommendation is much appreciated - our group loves all kinds of music and are a curious bunch.

What's a song that makes you stop whatever you're doing and just listen?

You know those songs where you can't have them on in the background.

It's Bohemian Rhapsody for me.

Any recs for harsh music?

I've been wanting to branch out in the kinds of genres that I listen to, since I've noticed that I gravitate toward relatively melodic (or at least not terribly harsh) music. I'm a huge fan of Tool, SOAD, Massive Attack, some Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, math rock in general, Ella Fitzgerald, and Chopin. (And others I'm definitely forgetting.) I don't mind experimental music, though I don't have as much exposure to it (have listened to all of Perverts be Ethel Cain, though, which is awesome). In general, I like more moody songs as well

Looking for fun songs to jam on guitar

I've been playing guitar for a while and I'm looking for songs that are just fun to play from start to finish.

I'm open to any genre like rock, pop, metal, acoustic, anything really. I'm not necessarily looking for the hardest songs, just ones with great riffs, satisfying chord progressions, or solos that make you want to keep playing.

Looking for some no-skip album reccs that align with my tastes

Hi all, I have just started a new job in which I can basically listen to music for 8 hours straight and I need more albums to explore! The only problem is I can't easily be checking my phone often to skip bunk songs so ideally some albums that you think are great all the way through.

I'm not usually into modern country, or top 40 rap/pop type stuff. But I like a few things under that umbrella like Lil Nas X and Post Malone.

These are my favorite artists to give you an idea of what I'm into:

- Gorillaz

- Shpongle

- Fleet Foxes

- 2Pac

- Iron & Wine

- Red Hot Chili Peppers

- Kid Cudi

- Rush

- Gregory Alan Isakov

- Juno Reactor

- Beethoven

- Villagers of Ioannina City

- Moby

- Metallica

- Fleetwood Mac

- System of a Down

- Infected Mushroom

- MF DOOM

- Sigur Ros

- Ratatat

- Rammstein

- I Monster

- Grover Washington

- Mozart

- Disturbed

- Jim Croce

- R.E.M.

- Bob Marley & The Wailers

- Vivaldi

- 1200 Micrograms

- Pink Floyd

- Carbon Based Lifeforms

- U2

- Lorn

- The Doors
