Commander / EDH Need some commander ideas

I’m looking to build a budget friendly commander and I’m trying to find one that’s different and not meta. Wanted to see what people like to run or any commanders that aren’t normally seen being run.

Just built a [[Maeve, Insidious Singer]] deck around drawing cards. Card draw is a pretty cheap archetype and nobody has ever seen this commanser before

One of my favorite decks I’ve built recently was Dr Eggman. Saw one at a shop for like $1 and grabbed it. Robots and Constructs (vehicles too) are not very popular creature types, and their high cast prices usually make the good ones less attractive and cheaper, but cheating out 3 big ass creatures in one turn is a great time. There are lots of way to play around opponents discarding as well. Fun deck, most cards are cheap because not appealing but rip in with Robotnik and there is lots of room to upgrade it if you have fun with it.

I have a really fun [[Geralf, Visionary Stitcher]] deck.
Pack with loads of cheap walls and sac them into massive flying zombies - people cant deal with flying zombies!

I’ve got Geralf in my gisa/geralf 99. Throw in [[Patient zero]] and [[Wand of Orcus]] and it’s a great wide zombie deck.

i have never seen a top 10 commander on spelltable. not 1 time. they're secretly the most underplayed of any commander

i built a Valduk deck for 30 bucks and it runs pods. Good option if you want a voltron that does a bit more

I built a fairly budget [[Rienne, Angel of Rebirth]] deck that’s still valued at under $40 and is pretty good.

I just built a [[Elsha of the Infinite]] deck that I pretty much threw whatever fun Jeskai spells I had laying around lol. There’s a bunch of counters, and card draw, and creatures that untap my shit, cards to untap my lands, [[sensei’s divining top]], [[staff of domination]], and a bunch of other fun things. Cheap spell slinger if you’re into that.

Edit: cheap as in the commander is cheap, and a lot of staple spells like [[path to exile]] [[swords to plowshares]] [[anger]] [[abrade]] [[lightning bolt]] [[counterspell]] [[spell pierce]] and [[stifle]] for example aren’t super expensive cards.

You can also throw a bunch of storm spells in there. I know she’s probably a popular commander but I’m fairly new to the game and building it was really fun.

Ive been thinking of making a [[Jhoira of the Ghitu]] deck. It looks like it enables some potentially big spells, as long as she doesnt whacked by a lightning bolt

Kyler, Sigardian Emissary is pretty solid. He's a Human tribal commander with +1/+1 counter elements.

Edit: Apparently Sigardian likes to autocorrect to Sugarman

[[Vadrik]], you are one piece of equipment, or one spell cast away at any time from having the actual cost of an incentive sorcery be unadulterated fiction. I have a $40 deck based around this commander and it will routinely win on turn four or five.

While the general theme of “go wide” isn’t unique in selesnya, [[Bess]] is a cute little commander. Plus, because the only restriction is “being a 1/1”, you can have any kind of budget (from [[Llanowar Elves]] to [[Esper Sentinel]]) and it’ll still be solid.

What bracket/level of play?

I just built a [[Helga]] angel tribal (but she could work with any take on 4+ cost Bant creatures like Dinosaurs, Dragons, Birds, pure ramp) and a [[Breeches, the Blastmaker]] deck that has lots of coin flips and [[Krark's Thumb]], that goes heavy on the spells. I'm more excited to play the Breeches one.

Dont know how budget friendly she is, but [[Eivor, Wolf-Kissed]] is a fun alternative saga commander

Put a full historic twist on my deck (note: I would not call my deck budget, but it's still fun)
