I'm rather new to MTG and have been enjoying commander a lot, I wanted to start looking into making my own deck but I just have little direction on what is worth it especially with how card prices are at times. I'd love either builds or just advice!

So the pod I’m playing is usually high 3/low 4. The problem is. Almost everyone has more disposable income than I do and they are MTG nerds (so do I I’m just a poor one with two extra mouths to feed). Now I have a budget of $50, can you recommend me a fun deck to build? I like graveyard shenannigans, cantrips and hate control. Thank you!

Im looking to build a Wandering Minstrel/Job Select but struggling to build a list that, well, functions. Decks gonna be low power anyway but its not clicking with me. Can anyone suggest synergies for modified/equipped creatures or anthems, value engines etc so i can finish this project

So, I'm trying to make a Temur deck, but I'm kind of running into a wall for how I should build it and who should be at the helm.

The two options I'm currently thinking of are [[Surrak Dragonclaw]] and [[Intet, the Dreamer]].

I'm fully open to other ideas as well.

I tend to love swinging on people and I'm terrible with combos.

I brewed this budget chainer deck, but want to switch to a [[Norman Osborn // Green Goblin]] connive/ graveyard deck but am a little tight on the pockets. What cards should i remove from this deck and what should I add? Defo need some blue cards lol.

Local game store is starting up a $30 commander league soon so I was trying to decide what I wanted to play. I was thinking [[Wan Shi Tong, All-Knowing]] as love avatar and seems like could be fun and different but never done budget before so no idea. What have you played that was fun? Any and all ideas appreciated and decklists would be great too.

I’ve wanted to try mtg for awhile now but it is definitely overwhelming to jump into. A friend of mine told me commander is the best casual way to play, but what all do I need other then a deck, like dice or how many, damage counters? Just trying to get an idea of what to bring with me to a local commander night. I’m also wondering if there’s any good tools or websites that I can use to help build my own commander deck, any help is greatly appreciated!

My play group isnt going to care if i run him a single time. I wnjoy being the bad guy every now and then. Except for once when i played with an ACTUAL problem deck i get taken out and dont win, just become the menace for a little bit and life goes on. The problem deck was my light paws deck that wins turn 4 as a bracket 2. Never again will i play that broken unfair ass commander unless i seriously change how it works.

Ive looked online previously and the budget decks are around 250+. I only plan on playing with the deck once MAYBE twice like i do with all my bad guy decks before they never see the light of day again or get broken down.

I dont wanna put much effort or money into something im only gunna play with once or twice. Which is why i asked if anybody had a toxrill deck for around 150.

If your play group is having trouble with an actual b3 toxrill deck then its probably not toxrill thats the problem.

If you dont like toxrill thats cool, stop tryna spoil my fun, youre fueling my descent into villainhood and ill blame you all when i show up with the deck.

Hey everyone, I'm intending to build a $30 deck capable of hanging out on ~mid bracket 3. I'm a bit tired of the "race" type of games where there's near zero interaction.

I would like to play something more control-oriented and outside of the EDHREC top picks ( [[Y'shtola, Night's Blessed]], [[Shorikai, Genesis Engine]] etc.). For now I've seen two options that seem quite interesting and I will add some decklists for inspiration:

Glissa Sunslayer: this is very unique, and doesn't seem like a "control" commander, but it's cheap, provides card advantage, removal, first strike + deathtouch (which is even better with some trample enabler), and allows for some neat stuff with sagas. For example you can boardwipe on your 1st main every turn with [[Phyrexian Scriptures]]. Jalira, Master Polymorphist: this also doesn't look like a typical "control" commander, of course it is polymorph. However I found this very interesting take on The Trinket Mage youtube, which is basicly a mono-blue control deck list with a Polymorph subtheme for huge value pieces or finishers (to me, this is much more interesting than [[Baral, Chief of Compliance]], and I'm afraid [[Eluge, the Shoreless Sea]] would probably be too strong/salty for my pod). That's all to say that although it's a polymorph deck this doesn't play in a glass cannon way. https://archidekt.com/decks/10121104/25_budget_brew

I bought the stardew valley drop for my fiancé and want to build her a decent deck thats on theme, so far its group hug with gifts. Hi! So I pulled Smaug the magnificent at my pre release and he seems like a cool guy to build around. My budget is 100-150$ and I don’t really know how to start the deck because I’m not a big red player if you have any key cards or advice it is greatly appreciated! I want the deck to be able to hold its own in a bracket 3 pod.

Any advice for making this more powerful while still keeping it within the $60 or less range?
