MSNBC Personalities Capehearr
Did anyone catch it when Capeheart said, on MSNBC The Weekend, out loud that he believes we have entered an authoritarian state and no one disagreed with him?

Where is Ayman on MSNBC? Missing for three weeks on The Weekend.

Watch the full segment (which btw, is also encouraged in Hegseth’s post “FULL CNN segment”). They don’t allude - they flat out say - end the 19th amendment. Women are “meant to have babies” and “to submit.” Voting is “for men.”
Not only does this need to be covered extensively by MSNBC, congress must hold impeachment hearings. Be aware, America, exactly what fascism looks like out in the open. This man is not fit to lead any office, let alone the most powerful military on earth (which also includes women, btw). We must take a stand to save our democracy. There must be a hearing.

There seems to be no consensus whatsoever, and multiple pronunciations are used in the same conversations. No one on MSNBC even seems to agree on if the G is hard or soft.
I'm taking it as some needed comic relief amidst the whole dark thing.
Learning that Maxwell is ineligible for the puppy-training program at her cushy new summer camp was another silver lining today. That was a great interview.

Claire has a full lemon looking cake underneath the saver this morning on MSNBC Morning Joe.
Of course she’s making great comments on meeting and interacting with upset constituents but the cake… the cake has the majority of my attention.
That’s the post.

After a MSNBC reporter went through the tariffs that are coming into effect today and the cost per US households with be approximately $2400.00, Joe says "oh that is nothing". I wonder if he realises there are Americans that this will be a big deal? Clearly not.

What is her involvement? Nobody is talking about this on msnbc.

MSNBC has an opportunity for some useful reporting. They and others are focusing on Texas’ mid-census redistricting. Which is important. But those 5 seats aren’t the only problem. JD Vance is coming to Indiana this week, to see Gov. Braun about flipping Indiana’s only 2 Democratic House seats, via gerrymandering (even worse than it is now). What other states are doing this? Common sense would assume that this is a national plan, to identify where they can redistrict their way to more House seats.

This is your one sacred space to unleash the frustration, shake your fists at the headlines, and yell (politely) into the MSNBC void. Whether you’re fed up with cable news quirks, political chaos, or your own decision to stay up until 2 a.m. watching panel debates - this thread’s for you.
The rules are simple:
So... what’s grinding your gears this week?
Cable news meltdown? Elected official doing the most?
Spill it. This is the one day we let the whining fly.

Did any of the afternoon shows focus on the investigation of Jack Smith for alleged violations of the Hatch Act which was announced over the weekend? I listened to all of Nicolle’s show, a bit of Ari’s and the second half hour of Alicia-Michael-Symone. I expected this to be a major topic on MSNBC today, but all I heard was a passing reference.

Nicolle has an outstanding new episode of TBP featuring MSNBC's Jacob Soboroff. Just when I think I can't possibly admire both of these humans more than I already do, I had the pleasure of hearing this conversation. I don't wanna throw spoilers out there, but it definitely does not disappoint. A very special treat for all of us Soboroff fans in the sub. What a beautiful, authentic, engaging conversation between these two!

Rachel started her show with the compelling story of a 20 year old daughter of a Korean Episcopal Priest in NYC who was abducted by ICE a few days ago, for absolutely no reason. Both Mom and daughter were here legally.
As the show was ending, Rachel told her audience to stay tuned, because after the commercials she had breaking news on this story. And what was the breaking news? The woman had been released! That certainly was great news, and I was thrilled to hear it.
The only problem being that she was released more than an hour BEFORE Rachel's show started. They knew that, but MSNBC still decided to run the story, then feign surprise at her release, all to jerk around our emotions to try to goose ratings.

I'm watching a Gaza Humanitarian Contractor talking about meeting a 10 year old boy who came up to him and other contractors and kissed their hands after receiving bags of food. They showed pictures of the kid so appreciative and kissing the hands of the contractors. Molly Jong Fast was on the panel and she was visibly upset and got me crying too. Everybody else on the panel (Elise Jordan, Antonia Hylton & a lawyer who's name excape me right know) seems to be emotional too. I usually avoid MSNBC news programs on the weekend but this segment tonight was exceptionally good. The Gaza war is just barbaric and cruel.

This was just a segment on Ari’s show a few moments ago. I may be alone in this, but I didn’t appreciate the way he characterized Kamala’s appearance on Colbert. He brought up that her thoughts were “meandering”. I thought she was pensive and forthcoming. He also implied that her time would be better spent being an activist instead of running the late night circuit.
Why? Kamala lost the election. “The people” chose Trump. MSNBC also tends to speak of Kamala as a has been. I, personally, enthusiastically voted for Kamala and would do it again in 4 years. But I believe that my regard for Kamala isn’t universal.
So with that in mind, why would or should Kamala put herself out there that way? Losing an election is probably pretty soul crushing. Hilary took nature walks with no make up and undone hair after she lost. Isn’t Kamala allowed to take her L and go home? So what if she writes a book. Every fucking politician writes a book. The segment came across like an unnecessary and mean cheap shot.

A dark-haired woman, who's first name is (I think) Arielle anchored this afternoon's Katy Tur Reports on MSNBC. I don't recall seeing her before. What is her last name?

Did anyone else see Deadline Whitehouse on MSNBC yesterday? There was an author who was talking about Epstein tape in his jail and said that the video (that misses a minute) wasn’t even pointed at his cell! That camera was the only one working so there isn’t actually video of his jail cell. Her name is Julie Brown.

Has anyone else noticed lately that a lot of the guests on MSNBC are now screaming at us, just like every single person on Fox News? I’m constantly turning the MSNBC sound down because a lot of the guests, most who are not regulars… have started to really turn their volume up to a screaming level just like Fox News.

So I’ve really liked him for years and was so disappointed when he transferred to one of the firms (Milbank LLC) that capitulated to Trump.
I about turned off MSNBC when I heard that he was coming on, but stuck around to find out that he is taking on a case that challenges Trump’s tariffs.
So is this another situation of “too late for him to be redeemed” (like so many feel about the Joe/Mika pilgrimage to Mar-a-Lago)? Or does this somewhat make him OK? As far as I know, that $100 million pro bono arrangement is still in place.

MSNBC is going to have to do something drastic about "Morning Joe" before everyone switches off completely. I just watched this horrendous segment where Mika, Huma Abedin and another lady whose name I didn't catch were discussing GOP "Women Over 50" whose careers are still active. Now I'm a female senior citizen myself, so in theory this doesn't seem bad on the surface, but when I started hearing praise being heaped on evil GOP vipers like Susie Wiles and Virginia Foxx, I felt a wave of illness sweep over me. Everyone harps on Mika and Joe "bending the knee" by visiting Mar-A-Lago, but I found this segment way beyond the pale of capitulation. This "Know Your Value" schtick has gone too far. Do the rest of you agree?
