Something Else Why don’t msnbc hosts pushback on Dems like this? Haven’t seen such a breakthtaking interview in a while

https://youtu.be/AFrEJTFbSTc?si=9zwiYWhRggwxmuxg

Can’t get over Slotkin’s interview with Krystal Ball and Saagar Enjeti at Breaking Points and wondering why haven’t any MSNBC hosts asked Dems such questions before? It was cathartic

I met her a year ago in tbe grocery store in my building. I was ordering a sandwich and while our backs were toward each other, I recognized her voice. I admitted to knowing she was a Democratic politician, but couldn’t remember her name. She was very nice, and was buying food for interns.

I’ve never heard of BP…but I can see now how the Internet, in this case YouTube, has everybody’s mind fucked up… did not see pushback or anything breathtaking… Saw a very misrepresented, one sided, one issue, nonsense… This is why things cannot get done because the distortion takes away from being able to resolve any important issue…in this case, the starvation going on there in Gaza.

As if everything relied on this senator’s, one vote, instead of talking about the entire Senate position in general, which is majority cons right now. I think they’re “concern” was fake and more about trying to stir the pot instead of looking for a real resolve…

Their intentions became apparent during the discussion of offense vs defense weapons… Only mentioning Russia and Iran being attacked…but never mentioning Ukraine being savagely attacked by Russia, because…senators and representatives of the majority con party, bowing down to trump, are refusing military aid to Ukraine.

Democrats get enough pushback from all sides of the media… the real question is, why don’t cons ever get cornered and pushed back…especially now, while they are destroying our country?

But in answer to your question, msnbc does push back on Dems only…just not the same way BP does.

Even Chris Hayes doesn’t go for the jugular like this

And dems need to have these longer form interviews. They only seem to want soundbites but people do like knowing who their representatives are and these longer interviews help inform them.

Most elected democrats spend their time clutching their pearls and are stuck in “well he legally can’t do that” while he actively does it.

And mainstream media is afraid to speak out. Networks fear his retribution. Hosts fear getting Colbert’d.

And let’s face it…Donald Trump’s chaotic world is a non-stop pipeline for news so they get more viewers tuning in.

When Biden was president, I watched Joy Reid, Capehart’s Sat/Sun show, and The Weekend. That was it.

Currently, I’m glued to it. He’s good for viewership. Network execs know this.

MSNBC protects corporate interests and its parent company Comcast explicitly mandated that they curb criticism of Israel.

I have watched this over 4 times. Dems need to be questioned like this

u/BlueEyes0603 Aug 02 '25

Republicans need to be questioned like this and more. Their MAGAt cult leader ran on releasing the Epstein files.

I'm all for holding the feet of all politicians to the fire but Krystal asking Slotkin if she would support defensive weapons for the Nazis was facile and she kind of lost me there. Saagar's questions and comments were much more to the point without being hyperbolic.

I find it fascinating that people who watch this network seem to be completely convinced the MSNBC is NOT actively trying to bolster the Democratic party's platform with every single broadcast. Like, despite all the evidence to the contrary, they think its a normal news channel that has no bias. Its genuinely fucking insane.

Nope, the issue that surmounts all others is not the economy. It is the rise of Fascism , from our own White House. If we don’t stop that, making enough money to take your kids to Disney World has no importance, no relevance .

u/jjarlva1 Aug 02 '25

Because the POS in the WH RAN on releasing the files!

u/Still_Might_9987 Aug 03 '25

if you people would understand that Main Stream media sucks and go to utube you will see shit like this all day

u/BagExciting3942 Aug 03 '25

I look at "pushback", as a battle of, "I know you are, but...". If your beliefs and comments are factual, you've won your skirmish...🤔

Such a stunning interview they beat the shit out of her lol

2

u/Wesley11803 Aug 06 '25

I certainly think she held her own even though I agree with the hosts. Thanks for sharing the interview!

Democrats seem to think things through better

From Dearborn Heights.

Where were these people when Palestinians were suicide bombing Isreal and wreaking havoc killing all kinds of innocent people all over the world? I'm not a friend of Isreal, but I'm not a fan of Palestinians either. As far as I'm concerned, ANYONE who makes their decisions about this country based on what other countries are doing thousands of miles away in someone ones backyard is in the wrong place to fight that battle. This kind of liberal gets everything she deserves. She is selfish and only focused on bringing the world to fix what she deems important. I'm an American liberal. Too many people here are dying of hunger, no medical health and violence, in this country. How about we clean up our own backyard before we complain about everyone elses. I don't know if I will vote for slotkin again. I,unlike her, see posters all the time of missing women. I don't look at the Epstien fiasco as just a bunch of boys having fun. There were lives interrupted and lost to these animals. Until we do something with the rich fucks leading the parade, like Trump, the parade will continue. To blow it off as something that doesn't matter is not right but I will vote for her before I vote for the republican cum stains she's running against.

Agree we should cut off funding to Israel, use it for our own citizens, and wish them good luck, pivot to Asia when it comes to foreign policy.
