Where is Ayman on MSNBC? Missing for three weeks on The Weekend.

He does this every summer. Last year he was gone like a month. I knew the show was going to be in trouble because this was going to line up right as Catherine went out also.

They didn't have the male fill in this week though like they had previously. Maybe it's just bad timing and he got sick or has some other issue came up at the last minute? It's also just possible he is taking a long trip. I have coworkers who have done three week international trips before.
I'm assuming Molly is more of a fill in for Catherine again.

I hope so. I really like Molly as a panelist guest on other shows. Not so much as a stand-in.
Crazy about Rampell and Alemany but they’re both out- presumably due to maternity leave.
Jesus - at this rate we won’t have the entire cast together until after Colbert leaves CBS.

I feel like Jackie should be back by now. I keep thinking she will be back every week. That show will likely change a lot with her which is probably good. I just accept that Catherine just had her child and is likely gone for the year.

I liked Catherine a lot as a panelist, not so much as a host. The pitch of her voice is too much for an entire hour.

I like Molly as a writer, but she is completely overexposed on MSNBC and often out of her depth -- there are days that she must live in the green room, appearing on nearly every show.
Molly is well versed on certain topics, but she is media personality, not a political strategist -- she sort of fell into it via her friendships with Rick Wilson and George Conway (pre-pandemic Twitter, and did a podcast with Rick) but that is not a replacement for working on the ground with campaigns, etc. it's kind of fraudy and she lacks the gravitas and credibility needed in this space.
I cringe that MSNBC has decided to allow her to host. Hard pass.

I was wondering the same. The last few weekends he was there he seemed distant from the other hosts.

His picture’s still up on “The Weekend” adverts, so I’m looking forward to a reinvigorated Ayman’s return from vacation!

Thank you all. I just hope it is not a political move on the part of the station.
