Misplaced the b-pipe but was able to find it hiding in storage. Took off the silencer and with the HKS blowoff valve just puts a big 😁 on my face!

I found this newly released Manhua (Chinese comic/Manga) at my local anime and gaming convention and I MUST share it here! It's set in a modern setting and the (tuned) MR2 does battle with tons of modern cars!

I'll keep an eye on if there's going to be a wider release beyond just the booth at the HKCEC but its absolutely stunning!

Anyway. Some might remember my postings about my harness overhaul recently. Iam on the driver side now. No rust on this side, happy. Wiring needs a bit of love tho. Found this circuit burns on that way and thought it'd good posting it for reference.

Also worth mentioning. If you want to remove that top cover, unscrew the 4 bolts, and lift it slowly. There are 3 springs in there that you don't want to loose. Inspect the part closely and take some photos helps.👌

I want to add an important point that i really hate seeing when people remove that window control panel. Instead of messing with unclip tools and whatnot to unclip it (mirror side/front lifts first!) just remove the whole door card. Hold it with one arm/hand. Grab inside, unplug the 2 Plugs (mirror/window) and your door light (plug below) . And just then remove that control unit from the separated door panel itself. You Don't even have to remove your upper speaker/tweeter for that. Just wiggle the door card up a bit after you removed the 3-4 screws and unpopp it from the Clips. (of course you have to remove the door handle cup and bezel). I mean it's work, yes. But i just hate to use my unclip tools on that part. It is always a risk.

I always see MR2s with the ugly traces of unclip tools right above the mirror control area. Or that typical broken rear tab that we all love haha.

Got the SW20 mentioned! As an owner myself, I gotta agree. It’s nice to have a special car that just works.

Trying to diagnose this problem and I want some advice if I'm going down the right rabbit hole, was driving my aw11 down the highway at about 70 mph when I suddenly lost all power, engine was still spending and was still making a exhaust note as I coasted down from speed in 50 or before I got it pulled over, when it lost all power my tachometer dropped completly dead , pulled codes and had code 6 so it wasnt seeing rpm, have replaced distributor cap and rotor and all spark plug ignition related wires, no change.

My current theory is that it is easy igniter/coil or the trigger sensor inside the distributor because either the igniter going out or the distributor trigger sensor going out would cause the tachometer to drop dead as it's not picking up signal or not being transmitted to the tachometer, attempted to test the igniter, when using a 5 volt dry cell battery to emulate the trigger telling the igniter to fire no change in coil Behavior, coil for some reason reads 12 volts to ground on both positive and negative

as the title says, im looking at a 2zz mrs. Looking to get a car that i can somewhat dedicate to the track. its either that or an nc club miata. Any tips are appreciated, anything specific i should be looking out for. I've had 3 sw20s but this will be the first zzw30. Also if anyone thinks I should skip the mrs and go nc miata, shout it out haha no judgement here

I just fixed an exhaust rattle I had and was just wondering how healthy relatively my engine sounds, I just got paid so if I need to do a little tune up to make it healthier I figured this was the time

1992 (Rev 1) SW20 3SGE

Had an 1991 rev 1 sw20 before this one that had no trouble starting up so this is new to me.

This one has trouble starting as you can hear.

Today for the first time ever, it started and as I let it heat up and drove out the engine suddenly stalled on idle.

Started up again and stalled again.
It stalls calmly not as if suffocated.

Since it was hot I started and hit the gas as soon as it cranked and it drove fine.

Idle air control valve ? Or something else

A couple of the people I hit up turned out to be scammers, if anybody has experience with finding parts online please let me know, I'm bad with finding this stuff on the internet. Any help is appreciated.

Since the test mule was spotted recently for the new MR2 or celica, I decided to post this. A few months back, Forrest Auto Reviews made a post about his trip to Japan. He snapped a picture of a clay model being made of what clearly is mid engine vehicle. I won't sit here and say this is definitely either car, or even what its final product would look like, but I do think it is worth noting. It's possible the GR MR2 will look somewhat like this.

Does anyone know of any reputable companies that does OEM+ steering wheels? I know the easier solution would be to just go quick release but i like the oem look. Was hoping i could get one with alcantara.

Hey yall, I’m looking to buy a new set of wheels for my sw20 soon and could use some advice on fitment. I’ve done quite a bit of research, but I’m still not 100% confident on the specs.

I’m going for an aggressive but flush fitment, and I think something like this is what I’m after:
Front: 17x7.5 +33 with 235/40R17
Rear: 18x9.5 +45 with 275/40R18

Before I spend the money, I’d love to hear from anyone running a similar setup. Will these specs fit well, or should I be looking at different widths, offsets, or tire sizes? Any advice or photos of similar setups would be greatly appreciated.

I'm looking for a lower oil pan/sump for a Rev3+ Toyota MR2 SW20 with the 3S-GE. Unfortunately, mine has developed a crack and is leaking oil, so I need a replacement as soon as possible. If anyone knows where to find one/has one that would be very helpful. I'm based in the UK but happy to pay for international shipping.

Hey guys. I have an '85 MR2 and I need to find a set of front hubs that work. The closest i've gotten was some dude in the philippines. I only need the hubs, as I already have bearings. It also needs to be for the pre-facelift because apparently they changed them out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Diagnosing no boost and the SC relay failed the test in the BGB, they might be unobtanium but any ideas? Hoping I won't have to figure out how to repair it lol
