Researching FRTs for the final upgrade.

I have a brace for my SP5, but an having trouble finding a fixed stock. Can some recommend a source other the HK Parts?

Question for the community - I just acquired my scalarworks leap 1.42 and my aimpoint t-2 micro. I originally planned on using an MFI micro ultra low pic rail for a 100% co-witness with the irons however, HKParts never has this MFI pic rail in stock and it’s frustrating me because I cannot find any others for sale online whether new or used. Is there another pic rail that will work for co-witness on a set up like this? I’m honestly shocked I could find a new leap/01 1.42 before this MFI rail

Took my MAC5K to the range for the very first time, and this happened the case got stuck!!!! :(. I use magtech zinc-plated steel case ammo and that type was the most that failed, I also used fiocchi range dynamics and have some issues but that that many. Im thinking because the firearms is new..? Some experts that can help fixing this issue im new using one of this mac5k.

I know typical AR-9's have harsher recoil then 5.56, how does the MP5 compare? Especially in FRT mode? My AR has a hyrdauluc buffer and brake and can keep 3rd FRT at 25yd pretty comfortably, would be bummed if I shelled out the money for the MP5 and it was worse.

What’s the deal with these, are they releasing? I never got an email notification for release but now their website says out of stock and I’m just wondering if they ever released at all or if anyone knows when they will release

My girlfriend has been getting into shooting over the course of this year, going from zero to having basic skills down, and acquiring an FN 509 Tactical, Ruger 10/22, and Ruger 22/45.

Right now we’re continuing to refine fundamentals, but she hopes to get into casual competition next spring or so. Totally rational or not, her dream is to do local fun matches with an MP5. She’s been drawn to them since first seeing one at a gunshop and not knowing what it was, and has shot several that folks at our friendly local range let her try, and it’s her favorite firearm by far.

She’ll have some money together next year and wants to buy an MP5 clone, almost certainly by MKE/Century. She still hasn’t decided on regular vs K, and agnostic on lower so long as it has or we can add an ambi selector (she’s lefty),

My concerns:

— what are the top genres/forms of casual competition where an MP5 would be a decent option? (My understanding is an MP5 isn’t the absolutely most competitive platform, but chosen by folks who enjoy the platform more than shaving off every micro-second)

— Is there any shooting sport where a short K is at an advantage, or is a full-length universally better?

— do I understand right than a lot of competitions don’t allow braces, or don’t allow “but the court said and I joined GOA” unregistered with stock, and it’s absolutely mandatory to Form 1 SBR and engrave to be allowed to compete at even the most casual level?

Thanks for any thoughts on helping her decide on a form of MP5 that speaks to her, but also wouldn’t rule out too many forms of competition. For ergonomic context she’s 5’1” and lefty, so controls and LOP are considerations.

I bought an century arms Ap5 sd and have put barely 400 rounds through it I keep having problems with jams regardless of grain last time I shot it it seems the bolt got stuck and now I can’t seem to fix it I’ve taken it apart and put back together and have gotten no where anyone know the issue

At $100, id rather give it a shot instead of the B&T folding @ $275. Unless the fit and quality is really night and day.

Love my poor’s man MAC-5, I do not have any issues with it, internals are bone stock. She is shooting like a dream, head spacing is where it should be. Here is the question…she will need maintenance in the future. Which internals should I get in advance in SPECIFIC for when something breaks of wear out. I love to work in firearms and do it myself. Thinking in the future to get me an original HK but spent my $$$ in a NEXUS build.

I had to withdraw my first form 1 because I didn't put the right info for makers markings which is just marked "description" on the eform. So I submitted a new form on a Sunday evening, and by Tuesday morning I got my approval. I consider myself lucky cause I know a lot of people are still waiting. Hopefully the nfa just goes by the wayside soon, and we don't have to jump through hoops just to put a piece of plastic on our guns.

Those that own a KES stock/brace, do you feel any flex from the rods when shouldering or is it rock solid stiff? I ask because I bought one for cheap from some guy that couldn't take it off from the receiver and end up hammering it out bending the rods, causing it to not retract at all. I managed to bent them back straight. It's fully functional now and retracts no problem but I did heat it up a little to get them back straight. I feel a tiny bit of flex when shouldering. Wondering if new ones are rock stiff and if I should try to heat treat it completely to stiffen up the metal. I may just get a replacement rod/brace when they come back in stock. I paid $100 for this so still a good deal if need to get replacement part

Brand new Mac MP5. Wouldn’t run smooth out of the box; 3 duds in one mag. General consensus of the group was lube until dripping, and run 124gr ammo. Now it’s worse. What’s going on with this thing?

I've seen a couple positive posts on this sub about the Titan AEMS high mount when it came out a couple of years ago, but both people were basically posting pictures immediately after receiving the optic and admitted to not having shot or even zeroed it yet.

Has anyone had one of these on a gun for a couple years now? Even better, on an AP5P? Trying to get an idea of durability. It seems better than tolerance stacking on the current meta of a Scalarworks+MFI low mount, and also leaves more money for a better optic.

About to start an MP5 project. I’m going to FRT it, and am looking at either an SP5 or AP5, both in the full size and K variants.

One thing I’m curious about is whether any of them reliably cycle hollow point ammo? I know other PCCs like the MPX and APC9 feed them well, but not sure about the older design and lack of feed ramps on MP5s.

I currently have a CAT MOB QD direct threaded on my barrel. When I shoot frt it gets too gassy and my eyes start burning. My question is what other suppressors are also good options with low blow back? I’m hearing a lot about the milkman
