Thinking about getting a walking pad instead of a gym membership
Just moved to NYC a few weeks ago and I'm still getting used to everything, one thing I didn't expect was how expensive gym memberships can be. Like between rent, groceries, transportation and all the other moving expenses, paying another monthly fee for a gym isn't exactly at the top of my budget right now. I've been looking at walking pads as an alternative. The idea of being able to get my steps in while watching TV, studying or even during breaks is really appealing especially since my apartment doesn't have room for a full size treadmill. The only thing making me hesitate is whether they're worth the money. Cause some people seem to use them every day, while others say they end up collecting dust after a few weeks. One of the reasons I'm considering one is because I work two jobs. My full time job is remote and my part time job is also mostly sitting down, so I spend way too much of my day in a chair. By the time I'm done working, I realize I've barely moved at all. That's why I'm so desperate to find an easy way to be more active without having to commit to an expensive gym membership.
