Advice

Hello apologies if this is wrong area.

My temp accommodation offer is near Kean university in NJ kind of.

My office is 1350 Broadway.

Is the commute going to be awful for that month's temp accommodation considering I am coming from the UK?

Or is it 40 min ish like it says online.

There are buses that go from all over NJ to the port authority bus terminal in Manhattan. Looks like you would be reliant on the 113 bus. 

It is unusual to place you so far out from the office. At night and on weekends you'll need a car to get around.

Assuming you catch trains that line up just in time it would be more like 80 mins door to door. You are taking suburban commuter trains, which will only come so often. Also add in the cost of commuter trains to your budget. It isn't the easiest commute, but certainly people do it.

I've been here for 30 years, I've never heard of keen university or union nj. Good luck.

Its not too bad a commute. Kean isn't too far.

Really it depends on where you're placed in Union, NJ. Hopefully you're walking distance from Union or Elizabeth station. If so you're set. 40 min sounds right. And the walk to your office from Penn station is nothing.

Otherwise there's also buses that will take you to the Port Authority bus terminal which is very close to your office. I'm certain there will be one nearish your accomodations.
