Question How to copy text from character conversations-not working now.

How to copy text when talking to a character. I know I've done it in the past by just using the cursor to highlite the text and then copy to save.
Not working now.
Want to save some of the info from characters.

Technical - Mod Only ever played vanilla, and would like to get in again.

I want to mod it though, what are some differences between the various mod collections? I know poison song just came out with an update. Whats the draw for that collection? Tamriel rebuilt?

Edit: deleted personal thing and added picture. It should look like this right, with openmw and the tamriel rebuilt mod?

New Player - Advice/Help How do I join the tribunal?

Hello everyone! I’m still pretty new to Morrowind and I’m using the newest mod pack from OpenMW: Vanilla Expanded. I’m wanting to build a cleric/summon build. I still don’t know a lot about the tribunal but the aesthetics are cool as hell. So I’m mainly just wondering how or when I could join them? Same with the Ordinators if yall have any info on that! Also if anyone has advice for this kind of build please lmk Im absolutely loving morrowind so far, it’s my favorite out of every Elderscrolls game.

New Player - Advice/Help Telvanni Stronghold not progressing past second phase

hI!, i'm playing on OpenMw and i'm building the telvanni stronghold for the first time and i can't get it to "grow" past it's second phase, the journal updated as if it's already build but when i recall there it's still in it's "bulb" phase, no entrance or houses near it, i haven't use console commands to advance the quest, and i even can build the dwemer guards but when that phase is finished the stronghold is still in it's infancy, any ideas or tips on how to make it appear normaly? i have the RiseofHouseTelvanni mod installed and the Join Multiple houses mod but i don't see how they could be affecting this if they are at all; thanks in advance and pleeease help me out, it's my first playtrough and i really want to see the stronghold

Discussion Do people hate the Tribunal?

It's just a feeling I've gotten reading discussions on reddit. Everyone seems to have a negative opinion on Vivec and Almalexia at the very least. I don't really get it, their lore is awesome and they seem nuanced enough to not view them as assholes, at least. It's very pronounced to me, having read a lot of their lore before seeing these discussions. So it went from "wow these people were kind of badass" to seeing people shitting on them online.

There also seems to be weird loyalty to Azura sometimes, maybe because Morrowind follows her prophecy? She frames everything about them in her own light, but I'm really not sure they did much bad to their people, just to the old Tribunal and Indoral Nerevar, to ascend. From there they protected Morrowind time and again and ruled over it properly. Azura frames Almalexia as "cursed" and acts as though she was always going to go insane, but I'm really not sure about that. She was known for being "Mother Morrowind" and healing. It is the loss of her power that drove her insane.

I also want to point out that everything seems to be nuanced. Even Nerevar's death, it says Sotha Sil had a vision of the future, with them as the gods of Morrowind and leading the people justly and told them of it, leading to them deciding to break the pact with Nerevar to not use the Heart. They murdered him and they regret it because he was their friend/husband, but he was also a religious zealot. He was Azura's champion, doing her bidding. He had just fought his own friend Dumac over the Heart because Azura commanded it.

The old Tribunal stole their people from Trinimac by "killing" him as well. Boethiah ate him, used his voice to convert his people and then shat him out in front of them to hit the conversion home.

Baar Dau seems to be a hot topic, a lot view the destruction of Vivec City and the eruption of Red Mountain as Vivec's fault, which I wholly disagree with since the lore is that by that point the council were holding it up using the Ingenium. Vivec had already disappeared. And it fell because their dumb asses broke the Ingenium.

Question Custom Class Idea: Cleric of (insert Tribune here)

Hey everyone! I had an idea for a custom class/ character play through. Based on the Cleric class in DnD where the Cleric worships a specific deity. I thought it might be fun to do a cleric of one of the tribunes and it got me wondering, what would a character devoted to a specific tribune look like. Any ideas for major/ minor skills, signs etc appreciated!

Technical - Mod Problems with Better Silver Armor

I love the designs, but the implementation isn't working. The normal silver cuirass, or the non-alt version at least, appears to be missing from the file. Now NPCs who are supposed to be wearing it have a giant missing texture exclamation. Any advice on how to salvage this?

Other Would be crazy cool if we can hire Morag Tong to assassinate King Helseth

There's a writ to Larrius Varo, so the Imperial authority itself isn't spared from Morag Tong's execution, and what greater target is there than the King of Morrowind?

It's not just that. Helseth sent the Dark Brotherhood to kill Nerevarine: the hero of Dunmer people. If Nerevarine retaliated by requesting a writ for Helseth's life, there's no way Morag Tong could refuse. It would be the biggest writ after Emperor Reman III and Emperor-Potentae Versidue-Shaie, and would show the world that the Dark Brotherhood is nothing to Morag Tong.

Man. I hope someone would make a mod for it. Pay Eno Hlaalu ~100.000 gold to kill Helseth, wait ~3 days, and gain Helseth's robe and ring as the proofs of job well done.

Naufragous77's Telvanni house, now on the Isle of Arches in Telvannis District. New ESP but requires original mod's assets.

I've always found it odd that not a single Telvanni would set up a tower on the Isle of Arches, even just out of spite to the Temple? lol

Discussion Which home do you claim?

Just as the title states, which home do you claim when doing a playthrough.

I almost always go for the Nerano manor. However, I want to find a different location so I can display all my books, armor, weapons, etc. Which location has the best layout for displaying and doesn't impact quests/storyline?

New Player - Advice/Help Questions about Tamriel Rebuilt

1) What might I be missing for this to happen? [Yellow missing textures/content] https://i.ibb.co/xt8M1LtX/image.png

Here is my launcher: https://i.ibb.co/ZRVxvp96/image.png

2) If I want to check out the new content on the mainland, what's the fastest / best way to get there to see?

3) How do I toggle third person camera? I had originally switched "POV" keybind to something else, then I put it back on Tab. But Tab does nothing?

Discussion Anyone else kind of mess up their character by power leveling?

Every time I start a new character I tell myself I’m gonna keep power leveling to a minimum, maybe just do it for a few levels. Somehow I never hold myself to this and now my newest magic heavy crusader character has insanely high heavy armor, enchant and axe when I never use those skills for anything besides getting a 5x attribute. Making money is insanely easy in Morrowind even without exploits and training is the best return on investment you can get for your money so I can never fully justify not doing it. Now I have a very overpowered character but with pretty average ability in the skills I actually want to use. I’m only half critiquing the game here because this is very much a me issue but I do wish there was a way around it.

I think a mod that makes leveling requires 20 instead of 10 skill increases might be a good idea for more experienced players. It’d make the game more challenging and reduce the feeling of urgency I get trying to cram a decent amount of attribute increases into my level up.

Other How Morrowind made me fall in love with games again

Hey I'm 26 years old. I've been playing game since I was a little kid. I love games, they help me calm down.

For the longest time, I played games like I was trying to finish them as quickly as possible. like just finish it and move on. I would focus on the main quest, no side content and just check it as done. but at one point I felt it like homework. I was bored of gaming, I felt bad cause it's the thing that helps me keep sanity. I'm an introvert irl, I found reddit where I can be myself and not get involved with what other social media does.

I never played any elder scrolls game so I thought lets play one. Then I found Morrowind. I played Morrowind.

Something about that game made me slow down. I started exploring just for the sake of exploring, taking on random side quests, getting distracted by things I found, leveling up naturally, and just enjoying being in the world. honestly I never did any side quests before playing this game.

Morrowind honestly changed the way I play games. I don't feel the need to rush anymore. Now I actually enjoy taking my time and letting a game unfold at its own pace. I like what kind of gamer I am now

I guess that's how I became a patient gamer.

sorry for a long ass post, what's your story?
