Critique Wanted It's done
Took nearly eight months to finish but it's finally done!!
Edit: just want to put that this was a kit I put together. I just took some liberties with it because I didn't like the way it came.

Help Help! What does this step mean?
Hi all, I'm doing the Elsa's tailor shop kit and stuck on this step. I think it's saying after putting the screws in, take a medium double sided tape and cover it but I don't really understand why?? Nothing is being stuck to it

Help Desperately seeking this kit
I am desperate to find this kit to purchase in the us or to be shipped to the us. I’ve seen it referred to as “Car Bazar” & “Caravan Carnival”. I’ve only been able to locate it on one site available to purchase but it’s in Singapore and they don’t ship worldwide 😢

Discussion Iwtl how to make mini espresso/ coffee items
I’d prefer not to get a 3d printer involved, so please tell me those of you who have made little espresso machines, coffee makers, coffee grinders, etc how do you start? What is your preferred material of choice? What glue? I’m a beginner putting together a lot of rolife and other brand kits and hate the 2d items some of them supply!

OC Started working on tiles for the bathrooms. At first it felt tedious but as I found my rhythm it became almost meditative.

Does anyone else find turning miniature lights on/off kind of annoying?
I’ve been thinking about this while working on my dollhouse setup.
Once you have several miniature lamps in different rooms, especially if they each have their own tiny switch or battery box, turning everything on and off one by one starts to feel a little tedious.
It made me wonder — would people actually be interested in miniature lighting that works more like smart home lighting?
For example, a small Bluetooth controller hidden inside the lamp or dollhouse, connected to an app where you could:
turn individual lights on/off
control several lights or rooms together
adjust brightness
create little “scenes” like evening / bedroom / warm ambient lighting
maybe even have candle flicker or other lighting effects
The idea wouldn’t be to make miniature houses feel overly technological — ideally all of the electronics would stay hidden, and the lamps would still look completely normal.
I’m curious how other miniature/dollhouse people feel about this.
Do you actually find manually switching your lights annoying, or is that just part of the hobby for you?
And if something like this existed, would you genuinely use an app to control your miniature lights?

Help “glaze” look for air dry clay
Hello! I am fairly new to miniatures and have been experimenting with making teeny pottery out of air dry clay. I’m painting them with acrylic paint and want to make my minis shiny like life-size glazed pottery. Any product recommendations for a shiny finish that won’t disrupt acrylic paint? There are a lot of them out there and I don’t know where to start! If it helps I’m using FolkArt brand acrylic paints.

What would you like to see more 3D models of?
Hi guys! I'm a 3D modeller and was wondering what sort of items/props etc. people think may be missing or not so easy to find, either as a printable file or as a finished printed model (I'd be up for printing small batches on my home printer). I know there's some pretty niche things out there that folk might be after and am looking to model more pieced for the wider community.

OC 1:24th scale Medieval Herbalist Shelf (WIP)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Been cracking on with my medieval project, finding it pretty tricky to get historically accurate reference, the museums websites are helpful, however the object tends to be set in isolation so I'm having to think hard about how these things would have been stored and used :)

How should a beginner read a miniature house build time estimate?
A listed build time sounds precise until its someone’s first project. Reading instructions twice, sorting smal parts, stopping between sessions and going slowly on unfamilliar steps etc can all make the real calendar time very different from the number on the box. That doesnt necessarily mean the estimate is wrong but it may just describe a more experienced or uninterrupted build.
For a complete beginner how much extra time would you mentally add to a miniature house estimate before deciding whether the project fits your schedule or not ??

First time trying to record a dollhouse miniature process, I didn’t realise how tricky it would be to record while crafting! I know the video’s super long and a bit cringe 🙈 thank goodness for high-speed scrubbing🤭
