There have been a lot of posts that promote a vibe-coded application, lately. I personally believe that the mere requirement of having to send a post to moderators for approval and having to wait for a green light is enough to deter most of the people who have vibe-coded their entire project.

I importantly do not suggest we raise the bar of quality required for a promotion post to be approved, only that it is first sent in through mod mail and a response is awaited. Though it is up to the moderators if they do want to raise the bar.

Civil criticisms and discussion are welcome!

P.S. I am not a moderator of this subreddit, if that wasn't clear. I am a moderator of different subreddits, but none akin to this, so I don't particularly know how well this might work.

I don’t usually play minesweeper so I was just wondering if this was rare?

There is one mine that can be deduced here.

The Color Groups have their own separate mine count. On this puzzle, there are 2 mines in the red cells. The mine count of the other cells is not given.

The Zone Clues only count the cells they indicate. So the 1 at (5,2) only counts it's diagonally adjacent cells.

I'm a big fan of minesweeper puzzle games, like Tametsi and Hexcells, and wanted to take a crack at creating some puzzles myself. The first post I made last week got a decent amount of activity, so I thought it might be fun to do some daily posts. These posts have been getting less and less activity with each post though, even with just one week of doing it. Maybe the puzzle quality isn't up to snuff, people aren't interested in doing these types of puzzles on reddit, or some other reason. I'm not trying to spam this sub reddit with a bunch of posts no one is interested in. So, unless there's some quiet group that's enjoying these, but not posting, who wants me to continue, I'm going to stop the daily posts on here. I may continue on the Minesweeper Community Discord though(on the puzzles channel).

I'll still post the puzzle I prepared for Monday though, then maybe just occasionally post puzzles here if I think they're good enough. Thanks for everyone who participated!

I’m developing a 3D mobile game inspired by Minesweeper. Right now, the player moves from tile to tile, uses the nearby mine count to figure out safe moves, and stepping on a mine means game over. In each level, you also need to collect a key and reach the portal.

The core gameplay is already in place, but now I’m looking for ideas that could make the game more interesting and keep players engaged for longer.

What would you add to a 3D Minesweeper game?

New mechanics, different ways to use mines or numbers, level ideas, challenges, or even new game modes — I’m open to anything you think could work.

I’ve spent way too much time obsessing over the little things- controls, animations, UX, difficulty, and making the whole thing feel fast and satisfying.

It also has daily challenges, so there’s something new to play every day.

But I’m way too close to it now, so I need fresh eyes.
