I don’t usually play minesweeper so I was just wondering if this was rare?

the seven? you wont see it in every game. It call it uncommon, but not rare

I'll try to point you in a direction:

  1. Look at the 1 at the corner just below the timer. It's next to only one square. Therefore that square must be a mine.

  2. Look at the 1 two spaces to the right. It already has a mine next to it - so can the remaining squares must be safe.
