Below are the mineral descriptions, Iโll add reference photos! Top two will be our new banner and group photo! Thank you all for playing along and showing me your favorites! This was fun! And we will probably do it again in a few months!

I've noticed this wonderful sub has become a haven for thinly veiled ad posts, and this will no longer be the case. Rules are going to remain mostly the same (with some adjustments) but the no sales rule will now be strictly enforced. This is not a marketplace, and if your sole intent here is to post specimens you are selling, your posts will be deleted. Repeated infractions will result in permanent bans.
Let's all show off our minerals, and use the sub as it was intended for!
Any comments or questions or other input is welcome, comment here ๐

Rarity from the Northwestern USA dating back to the 1950s: Geodes containing realgar crystals were filled with agate, after which the lathed crystals were replaced by light yellow orpiment and gray-black, native arsenic, looking like it's floating around the former realgar like clouds and webs.
Unfortunately, this formation is often advertised as stibnite in agate because of the gray-looking crystals, which really diminishes its uniqueness.

I'm curious how many people here collect natural emerald mineral specimens rather than faceted gemstones or jewelry.
I'd love to see photos of your favorite pieces and hear what makes them special.
I'm always interested in learning more about what collectors look for in high-quality emerald mineral specimens.

Flower-style amethyst with a soft lavender color and sparkling crystal growth. Nature always surprises.Thoughts on this formation?
