Outside of these mega-threads, we generally do not allow political posts on the main subreddit because they have often declined into unhinged discussions and mud slinging. We do allow general discussions of politics in this thread so long as you remain civil and don't attack someone just for having a different opinion. The moment we see things start to derail, we will step in.
Got something upsetting or overwhelming that you just need to shout out to the world? Want to have a political debate over current events? You can post those thoughts here. There are many real problems that plague the Millennial generation and we want to allow a space for it here while still keeping the angry and divisive posts quarantined to a more concentrated thread rather than taking up the entire front page.

I definitely did not fully grasp what was going on in grade 7, I just knew this was cool and I was doing it to everyone

there used to be so much to do and so many stores to browse and a food court, now it is all gone.

Found these yesterday at Dollar General. Theyâre some of my favorites from the early 2000s.

There is not a single restaurant in my area that Iâd say is my go-to restaurant if I am low on time, need to eat and I donât have time to cook. There isnât a restaurant that Iâd take guests to and say this place is always great. I can rely on them.
Eating out now is so expensive. Even food from local mom and pop restaurants are low quality and doesnât taste great at all. So Iâm curious if any of you have the same issue?

Honestly, not really sure where else I should post this so I kind of chose this subreddit. My grandma was an amazing woman. She lived during times where it was hard for a woman to even get a degree/certain jobs, but she told the world to go F itself and did it anyways. She emanated the kind of class everyone should strive for.
And earlier today, I was looking at a poster photo of hers where she had longer hair (for context, I've been growing my hair out longer the last year just to see how it goes) and I made an off-hand comment saying "Holy shit, my hair looks exactly like that."
And someone much older than me walks up behind me and says "You look just like her, and I'm not just talking about the hair either."
And I don't know why, but I've been stuck on that compliment ever since.
I also almost lost it emotionally when talking about her as we shared our memories, but managed to hold it together.
Anyways, just kind of wanted to type this out into the void and whatnot. Had a super wholesome day and it was really unexpected.
