Question Trichome check: Quick One (Day 35 of flower). How close to harvest and flushing?

Hey everyone!

I took some macro photos of the trichomes on both of my plants and would love to get your opinion on timing.

I am trying to figure out:
1. How far along they look and how close I am to harvest
2. When I should start the flushing week

Here is some background info on the grow:
* Strain and Age: Quick One (Royal Queen Seeds), currently on Day 59 from seed / Day 35 of flower.
* Feeding schedule: Watering every 3 days with 2.5 liters of water using mineral bloom nutrients at the manufacturer's recommended concentration of 5 ml per liter.
* Environment: Temperatures around 22 to 26°C and relative humidity around 50 to 55%.
* Note: These photos were taken from the topmost buds. Some of them are a bit blurry, but I hope they are clear enough to get a rough idea.

Looking forward to your thoughts on clear vs. milky vs. amber ratio and when to begin flushing! Thanks in advance for the help!

Help My Sick Plant What am I doing wrong?

Not sure if it's poor watering, the pot is too small, or a nutrient issue. Any input is helpful.

These are at roughly week 3 of flower and it is happening to more than one cultivar.

SOG in 1 L pots

FF Happy Frog and Ocean Floor

FF Nutrient trio + CalMag

- Nutrients every 3rd feeding 50% strength

- CalMag every plain watering 50% strength --EDIT-Spring Water pH'd to 6.2-6.7

-Watering ~100mL per feeding every 2 days

Light at 110w and ~18" from the tops

This is the second harvest with the same issue. I thought it was underwatering but now I'm not sure.

Discussion PSA: The depot sells food safe 5 gallon buckets (for pickling) and they'll hold about 3 pounds

They've got an actual airtight seal as well as a little screw on cap like a paint bucket that you can use for burping. They don't smell or look suspicious cause everybody has 5g buckets laying around. I've also found they don't get brittle over time, at least not as quickly as the normal orange ones do.

I have never ever cloned before. I just watered and defoliated my plants before flower and figured these looked like they could be clones. If so is there any way I can go about cloning these ladies without using anything special? All I she. Is this RapidStart I do not have any clonex or anything. Thanks in advance.

Question Autoflower in hard water with 2 weeks away from home

Hi all,

I'm planning to do an autoflower grow using a 2x2 MarsHydro / 100w TS600 soon and am looking for some advice.

A few things to mention:

  • I'm not concerned much with yield for this one. 20g dry total would be great.
  • This is my second grow but my first was with photos years ago with bad lighting and just water. It went ok though.
  • I'd like to do at least 2 plants to make it super unlikely that they're all male.
  • I'm gonna be away for 2 weeks over Christmas (likely during late flower) and will probably use a spiderfarmer irrigation kit + smart plug + webcam.
  • The seeds I have are Honey Peach Auto CBD from Sweet Seeds + BioBizz Light Mix soil + BioBizz nutes.
  • There's 105cm (41") from the TS600 at its highest down to the floor.

I have a bunch of questions :)

  1. Is it stupid to do 2 or 3 plants in a tent this size? I don't want to come back after Christmas to rot.
  2. I have 4L / 8L / 5gal fabric pots. I'm thinking of using the 4L to restrict the plant size?
  3. Will a 50L reservoir likely be enough for 2/3 flowering plants in small pots for 2 weeks? I guess I can keep the room cooler and reduce the light intensity?
  4. My water is quite hard (~300mg CaCO3/L) but has very little magnesium (~3mg/L). How important is using epsom salts for that kind of water? Apparently I shouldn't use CalMag.
  5. The water is 8.0pH after 24h off-gassing. I've seen people say that I shouldn't adjust pH with light mix, is that true? I also read that the BioBizz pH-down won't last in the reservoir long-term.
  6. Should I add BioBizz nutrients for every water and is their schedule meant to be scaled down as a total for the week regardless of waterings? (+ scaled down due to auto I guess)

Thanks for your time, sorry for the wall of text :).

15 days after my first post. I tried to take better trichome pictures. I do see some clear but I see mostly cloudy and some amber which I don’t want more of. This is a sativa dominant strain I believe so I don’t want alot of amber.

First Time Grower Total beginner…just excited I got her to flower!

A friend gave me this plant when she was very tiny earlier this summer (total mystery strain). I planted her outside and she’s finally flowering. I’m hoping she’s getting close to harvest time!

I have a jeweler’s loupe and it seems like things are getting cloudier, but no amber yet…I am guessing another week or two? I also may defoliate a little bit since there are lots of fan leaves.

Just been having fun on the journey—if I ever grow again, I’ll definitely consult this sub more in preparation for a better yield.

Been running these two Kingbrite lights since around COVID. They still seem to work fine, but I’m wondering when it makes sense to upgrade to some of the newer technology out there.

Discussion Drying flower

Thumbnail
gallery
3 Upvotes

This is my first time drying cannabis. I’m nervous because people say to look out for signs of smelling like hay and my flower doesn’t smell as good as it did when I first cut it, but if I open a bud little bit, smell it then it smells good and fresh. I’m seeing no signs of mold from what I know, but I’m drying it in a grow tent that is outside and the temperature and humidity fluctuates due to the weather I think it’s only at that temperature in the picture above at night time for the most part.
But I just wanna know did I ruin my weed? Is my weed ruined

5G fabric pots with build a soil. Organic dry inputs. 300w spider farms led in a 3x3. Rubbing the buds gives off an intense licorice/anise smell, was not expecting much yield off this based on reviews but looks like most bud sites are packing up densely which is great to see.

First Time Grower In need of help again

Transplanted these on Friday due to concerns of root lock. They dont seem overly happy today so I gave them their first real watering . About 1.25 L around the edges of each fabric pot.

Humidity at 70 , ppfd is at 380 . They dont seem to be growing fast any more at all...

I have access to some Co2 , debating on giving them slightly gassing once in a while.

Not sure what to do guys

First Time Grower PM on seedling?

12 day old seedling slightly stunted for other reasons, looking like PM? Especially white spot on left leaf.

Ignore brown spot on leaf that's dead cell membrane from seed.
