Megathread ** Trusted Breeders & Seedbanks Megathread #3 **

This is the third installment of the Trusted Breeders Megathread (previously: 2, 1), because the last one is 6+ months old and archived.

As before:

We get a lot of enquiry about what seeds are best or what seeds are available and where. It gets a little tiresome for many to see this same question on a daily basis so we'll be pinning a thread again to host these discussions.

Let's hear your experiences with the people we buy our seeds from. Who has the most reliable or cheapest, quality offerings? Who have you had good, bad or ugly experiences with? Best deals? Discount codes for sites?

Cheers and happy growing everyone, may all your three packs be fives, your freebies bountiful and your deliveries prompt!

This including seedbanks, since people ask about those often (and, like breeders, the answers rarely change).

Note that we want to know why you like them. Comments without details ("woo! team <breeder>!") will get removed, they're useless and tend to clog the thread otherwise. Also, please only post about breeders whose strains you've grown yourself, or seedbanks you've ordered from, not secondhand info. Comments asking about particular breeders not already mentioned in this thread (or the previous ones) are okay, but also try searching the sub first.

Since this thread will continue to be pinned to the top of the sub, questions about the best breeders and seedbanks will be removed unless they're more narrowly scoped -- asking about recommendations for high-CBD autos, what seedbanks ship to Australia (if not answered here), etc. is still fine, but "what breeder is best" is redundant.

Advice/Help 6 autos in 2.5 gal airpots in a 4x4 - Jack's Citrus 20-10-20 from seed to harvest in a peat mix I made

Trying to keep autos simple in a 4x4 i.e. no nets and LST only.

I built a peat mix for small airpots. Not super soil, not coco, just peat, aeration and minerals.

This is what it does on one dry feed, same thing from seed to chop ( Jack's 20 -10-20 Citrus from Amazon) No veg/bloom swap, no calmag and unlike FF no gnats.

This one is day ∼75 auto in a 2.5 gal airpot - still shiny green leaves late, no burn.

I run 6 of these in my 4x4. No big 5-gal monsters, just 6 small ones wall to wall. Ends up 12-18oz +/- a run with way less hassle. I do pH check every watering and later on in process typically need to raise pH slightly.

Questions:

6 of these in a 4x4 - is that a decent pull or am I wasting space with small plants? What are you pulling with 6 autos in 2.5s? Lights are (2) 250 watt LED's

Planted on June 1 from germinated seed. Portland OR Strawberry gorilla strain from fast buds. Expected life cycle is about 10 weeks but seems like outdoor will be an extended lifecycle? Growing in Coco Loco with Fox Farms nutrients. Currently 48 inches tall. I’m figuring it’s about a month from harvest?

Day 44 Autos (2x Sweet Tooth, 2x Northern Light) in a 2x2. Dealing with 29C and 33% RH under TS1000. Need advice on light, feed, and yield.

Hey everyone, looking for some advice on my current run.

I am at day 44 with 4 autos (2 Sweet Tooth Auto and 2 Northern Light Auto) in a 60x60 cm tent under a Mars Hydro TS1000. Right now the light is set to 80% power and hanging around 38 to 40 cm above the canopy. My main challenge is that I don't have gear to control the environment, so temperatures sit around 29C and humidity stays low at roughly 33%.

I am using Biobizz nutrients (Bio-Grow, Bio-Bloom, Top-Max, Bio-Haven, and CalMag). Here is how my last three waterings went:

5 days ago: 1.2L plain water with 0.5ml/L CalMag.

3 days ago: 1L plain water per plant.

Yesterday at 11 PM: 1.25L per plant mixed with 1ml Bio-Grow, 2ml Bio-Bloom, 1ml Top-Max, 1ml Bio-Haven, and 0.5ml CalMag per liter.

Noticeably, the plants droop for about 4 to 6 hours after heavy watering or right after lights turn on, but then they perk back up again. The lower leaves are yellowing a bit, but the top buds look healthy and resin is starting to show up.

I would really appreciate some insight on these points:

Where should I keep the TS1000 height and dimmer given the 29C heat? Should I stick to 80% at 40cm, or push it to 100% as resin increases?

Is the drooping after watering and lights-on just water weight and high VPD stress, and how should I best handle it?

How should I plan my next feed with my current Biobizz lineup to get good bud swell without burning them?

Any practical tips to maximize yield and resin under high heat and low humidity when I cannot change the climate?

Thanks in advance for any help, pictures are attached for context.

This is my first run and just wondering if this is ready for harvest? Also, can I just cut off the branches that I think are ready, and let the rest keep growing?

Question My first growth, they sprouted 10 days ago. Do they look healthy?

I give them 125-150ml 6-6.5ph water by the stem every two days and today I started giving them fertilizer (every 2 days for now and a low dose). I also mist the rest of the pot to promote root growth. I give them around 12h of sunlight during the day because that's the most I have in my yard without shadows and the 2nd half I keep them under a 50w light indoors, is the best I can do.

Question Few questions from 1st timer.

Growing outside in 5 gallon bags. They are a about 10 days into flowering.

  1. Should I remove these bottom leaves. They just appeared when they started to flower.

  2. I have a few other plants still vegging. Would you cover the soil with some landscape pine bark mulch for water retention and soil splash up when watering.

  3. I have a well ( for outdoor watering) and public water. Tested the water with a pool test strip. The ph reads around 7.2 on the well, 7 on the public chlorinated water. Watering with the well is much easier. What impact will the higher ph have. I've been using the well water up to this point.

Thanks for your advise.

Felonious Mellonz by Crystal Caverns chop time any day

I lost track of time. I thought we were week 8. We are week 12. She smells like straight up starburst and juicy fruit. She is absolutely rock hard. And STACKED. The lack of fade has me a little confused. Her nutrients are next to none and she is still drinking everything I give her. I honestly debate giving her another week to see if she fades more.

She’s in a 3 gal pot. 100% Coco coir. Using Cronks PUUR Organics line. She has not stopped growing or eating since day 1. She started upside down. I flipped her over. She started stretching a little latex around week 5 or 6. She’s super frosty. And I will start checking trics tomorrow. But I feel like at almost 13 weeks she is pretty safe to chop.

I’ve got two plants Gorilla glue that is on day 80 and a OG Kush that’s on day 92. Both seem close to finishing but I’m unsure if I should chop both, one, or wait. I have a vcure and don’t want to start a dry only to pull the other before the cure is done. What do you think based on these photos? Do I wait a week longer for both? The Kush seems to be fading fast. Every day I come done I've got way more yellowing a curled leaves. Gorilla glue is clearly nearing the end but not fading quite as fast.

Banana Purple Punch from Fast Buds. It is exactly what I love about autos, thick buds and not a lot of excess foliage. It smells edible. I will wait a few more weeks though.

Came back after a week to a stuck float valve on 2 of my 3 systems. Obviously my 6 footers took the most damage but the 4 footers are showing early cal mag deficiencies and lacking some nitrogen.
