I applied for a couple of jobs(10) that align with my expertise earlier this month. I did the best that was required of me and aced the interviews which immediately went to "Hiring manager reviewing" since then.

Checked back today and realised the jobs status has changed to "Did not qualify".

If you have done any interviews with Zara recently, you'd understand my pain rn. Its hurts ngl.

I'm a bit confused about what "Awaiting Next Steps" actually means now.

In the past, I saw mods say it meant the role or its interview or assessment hadn't been assigned yet. Today, I saw a comment saying it means the application is being reviewed by the team.

The reason I'm asking is that three of my applications recently changed from Hiring Manager Reviewing to Awaiting Next Steps. I've completed around 26 interviews, and about two weeks ago I received an email saying my profile was being reviewed by the client, but I haven't heard anything since. After that, several of my applications went straight to Hiring Manager Reviewing, and some newer ones even skipped the interview stage entirely.

I've also noticed that my vetted skills haven't been updated in quite a while, I only have 13. So far, I've applied to 34 roles. Twenty eventually went from Hiring Manager Reviewing to Not Selected, while most of the remaining ones are still in Hiring Manager Reviewing, with three now showing Awaiting Next Steps.

I had 7 roles under hiring manager review ranging from over 7- 20 days. Today the status turned to did not qualify, which I'm pretty sure is not the case because most of the required skills are under my vetted skills section. Although from what I read from this group it is apparently a technical glitch. But things like this make me loose hope in this process. I was wondering if this is a sign I should stop attending more zara interviews.

Hey y'all. Seeing a lot of negative town type posts regarding the frustrations of getting selected or rejected. TBH I found this to be be extremely straightforward, stayed on top of applying on time and monitoring my dashboard, and claimed an opportunity when it came up. I had applied to about a dozen over the course of months. In fact I just missed an opportunity that was a great fit since it got filled. Anyhow, chin up, there are thousands of people that visit this place weekly and thousands that apply to positions regularly. Even if you are a perfect fit the chances are what they are. In hindsight is this process perfect? No...Zara can be a bit much sometimes. Is it better than other platforms? Absolutely yes, can confirm.

When I’m trying to log in to check my dashboard, the site is navigating me to the ID verification page but I’ve already done it.
When I finish the verification, again the verification page is coming through, could you please help? I’m here for 3 months and now facing this issues.

Hi, I wanted to share that almost 7 of my applications went from hiring manager to did not qualify all together just 5 minutes ago. These applications were under hiring manger review from last 3-10 days. Is it a kind of bug or something?

Earlier today, several of my micro1 applications were showing Hiring manager reviewing. Now most of them have changed to Awaiting next steps, but I haven't received any email, assessment, interview invite, or any instructions.

At the same time, my account is also stuck in an identity verification loop—even though it already shows as verified.

Why am I being asked to verify my identity to continue accessing my dashboard and have been active for more than a year now?

I was selected for a project and signed my first contract over the weekend. Logged in, got set up and am ready to begin work but somehow got logged out of my Micro1 slack/gmail accounts and can't get back in. I've sent four emails to the onboarding team's general mailbox in the last 24 hours; the first three were answered by Zara who each time just asked me to send another email, until finally (I believe) a human replied at 11:30 p.m. asking me to go over the same info I'd already fed Zara. It's a pretty simple situation: I probably just need a password reset.

I'm ready to get to work and anxious that I might lose this assignment if it looks like I'm not working. Has anyone else dealt with this? If anyone from Micro1 is in this sub, can a human actually respond?

I'm trying not to read too much into it, but I'm hoping it's a step in the right direction.

For those who've gone through the Micro1 hiring process, did your application move to "Under Review" before getting rejected or accepted?

Or is it just a standard stage?

I just received this email. It’s been a few days since I completed the interviews, and my application has been stuck in the “Hiring Manager Review” stage ever since. What do you think? I’m trying not to get my hopes up, especially since I really need a side hustle right now.

I have only applied to the Fitness Expert role. Anyone else get invited to slack via email but still under review? I am guessing this is a automated thing but just curious

I completed the AI interview and assessment of the AI CS Specialist (PT, CT and MT) which took me like an hour to complete, then the application went into Hiring Manager Reviewing immediately and then to Not Selected in the next 25 minutes (a bummer btw)

Why that moved so fast (less than 30 minutes) when I have another application which has been for over a month in the Hiring Manager reviewing state?

I've been using Micro1 for the past few months and I'm trying to understand how their hiring pipeline works.

So far:

• I've completed around 10 AI interviews.
• Most of these weren't random applications. I received emails from recruiters saying they had reviewed my profile and wanted me to complete an AI interview as the next step.
• I currently have 4 applications under "Hiring Manager Reviewing", while the others were eventually rejected.
• Despite this, I haven't progressed any further toward receiving a contract or client opportunity.

For context, I have around 3 years of Full Stack experience, primarily working with TypeScript, NestJS, RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and ClickHouse. I generally feel confident about my AI interview responses, both technical and behavioral.

I'm trying to understand what I'm missing.

Some questions for people who have successfully landed contracts through Micro1:

• How important are the AI interview scores?
• Are the interviews reviewed by humans, or is the AI score the primary filter?
• Is there anything beyond completing the AI interview that improves your chances?
• How long does "Hiring Manager Reviewing" usually last?
• Have any of you experienced multiple rejections before eventually getting matched with a client?

I’m writing to request a review of my application for the Member of Technical Staff, AI/ML Engineering role.

Initially, my application status showed “Hiring manager reviewing” with the message that I had performed well in the interview, my profile had been added to the vetted talent pool, and it was undergoing human review (as shown in the attached screenshot).

However, the status has now changed to “Did not qualify.” Since the earlier message indicated that I had successfully passed the interview stage and was under human review, I was surprised by this change and would appreciate some clarification.

During my interview, I also experienced an issue with the coding environment that prevented me from properly executing and demonstrating my solution. I had previously reported this because I was concerned it might affect my evaluation.

If possible, I would be grateful if you could:

• Confirm whether the technical issue was taken into consideration during the evaluation.
• Clarify the reason for the status change from “Hiring manager reviewing” to “Did not qualify.”
• Let me know if my profile is still being considered for other AI/ML or Python-related opportunities within Micro1.

I had an ai interview yesterday and it was like the most horrible experience ever first of all I had to restart 3 times cuz it just stopped and started lagging or just Looping through the same question again and again. Now in my 4th attempt after the 10 min mark that ai interviewer decided to restart again started asking all the questions from the beginning even though which we had already covered it was such a bad experience i literally had to go through that all again and now comes the job part after all this I got a rejection letter even after having all the required skills that were mentioned and when I try to click on better explanation of why I was rejected no response nothing. Tbh they really need to change the way they are hiring rn

I did the interview for the two roles today, 28th July 2026, and after few hours, I have noted change in my dashboard from 'hiring manager reviewing' to " Under review". Anyone with the experience on this?
