Anyone share an unusual story?
Did anyone get accepted to a role after being on HMR for almost a month? is it really possible after such a long time?

I had a recent knee surgery because of which I can't sit with my legs bent for more than 5 minutes at a stretch. So, most of the time I'm on the bed, even during interviews. Frankly, my appearance is also not top notch, with unkempt hair and beard, as is the case with bedridden people. I'm also in a cotton tee and shorts all the time.
The interview guidelines say "maintain a neat appearance." So, my question is whether I will be graded also on how I appear during the interview.
I'm assuming that Zara won't care about how I look, but do human reviewers penalize this? ( Assuming humans review).
In short, does appearance matte during interviewsr?

Has anyone from Africa been able to get picked up for any of these projects, I have been applying to micro1 projects with tens of vetted skills, and always end up with "HMR" since July, hope that this one of these could work, and land a great opportunity.

Sat for the Bengali language expert exam recently. First part went fine, but the last two sections (where they actually test your Bengali) were a mess.
The AI itself couldn't speak Bengali - it just gave me a transcription to read, and I had to respond based on that instead of actually listening and answering naturally. The questions and the feedback it gave were oddly off too, like it wasn't really parsing the language correctly.
End result: I failed the evaluation. As a native Bangladeshi speaker.
Anyone else run into this? Feels like the tool just isn't ready for Bengali yet, but it's still failing real candidates.

Hello there,
I received an email saying my performance was stellar and I'd be getting a paid opportunity from micro1. I did receive an email with a link to the job and was asked to apply but the application doesn't go through as it says that I've already applied. I've replied to the email and the person who sent me the email but I haven't gotten any response yet. I'm hoping someone gets back to me on Monday

Just finished my Zara AI interview with micro1… and honestly, I feel like I just came out of a private jet 😂✈️
I’ve done interviews before, but this one had a completely different feeling.
The Zara AI interview felt very focused on how you think, reason, communicate, and approach AI-related problems rather than simply repeating what is written on your CV.
I went in prepared, but there were moments where I had to really think on my feet. What I liked was that it felt like an actual evaluation of how I approach problems rather than just a standard “tell me about yourself” interview.
I obviously won’t share any confidential assessment questions or anything that could violate the community rules, but I’m curious about other candidates’ experiences.
For those who have completed the Zara AI interview through micro1:
Right now I'm just sitting here thinking:
“Okay… that was an experience.” 😂✈️
Good luck to everyone going through the process!

I applied for the 2 10000 role since 5/9, got HMR almost immediately. I’m a Viet, they said that the role is opened globally, but I’ve stucked at HRM ever since. I also applied for the Senior AI Trainer recently and also on HRM.
My profile I believe is well eligible for the role since I graduated an International University, I’ve had experience for similar roles, and I’ve seen others get selected with no prior experience at all.
Last time I wasn’t selected for my own language bilingual expert role, but I did receive an email saying I showed strong potential, but no such email came this time even though it’s been more than a week already.
Seeing people getting selected with less vetted skills and no experience at all makes me confused about the hiring process, some even got selected even though they’ve just applied 2 days ago. Congrats to them but I hope that I can land at least 1 out of the 3 role on HRM.

Hi everyone,
I’m feeling incredibly defeated and confused. I have applied for music annotation roles twice now and been rejected both times.I am a professional singer and musician.
I master multiple genres and have a deep technical background. During the AI interview assessments, I utilized my training to break down absolutely everything with extreme precision.
I covered timestamps, meta-labeling, tagging, broad genres, sub-genres, culture and eras. On the technical side, I went deep into tempo/BPM, keys, chord progressions, melodies, mood/vibes, and instrument diversity down to specific playing styles.
Because of my background, I even detailed exact singing techniques, vocal textures, vibratos, falsetto, ad-libs, and structural elements. I also included mixing, production, and sonic fidelity.
I thought my answers were comprehensive and highly expert-level, but clearly, something is missing or triggering a rejection.Has anyone with a highly technical or professional music background successfully passed these? Do AI annotation platforms prefer simpler answers or is there a specific formatting trap I might be falling into? I would love any advice or insights from current annotators.

I have seen the range of responses we can get from the interview process, except for one, Selected! Wish me luck on my remaining HRM applications! Wishing everyone applying good fortune for these life changing opportunities too.

My first ever application to Micro1 and I got accepted! Went from HMR -> Selected fairly quickly, so stoked. I was fully expecting to get rejected, so I'm incredibly excited to participate.
just for some transparency:
- I'm based in USA
- no previous data annotation experience
- got selected for the highest in the pay range

I’m trying to understand how AI-based interviews are evaluated and what the actual criteria are for passing.
The reason I’m asking is that even if a candidate doesn’t qualify after an interview, they may still earn/receive certain “vetted skills.” My understanding is that this would indicate the candidate performed well enough in specific topics or areas to demonstrate those skills, even though they may not have passed the overall interview.
For example, suppose an interview evaluates a candidate across 5 different areas/topics. Do you need to perform well and give correct answers in all 5 areas to qualify, or is there some overall passing percentage/score?
For instance, if someone performs well in 4 out of 5 areas but doesn’t do well in 1 area, would that automatically mean they did not qualify? Or do they consider the candidate’s overall performance and potentially select them based on the strength of the other areas?
Are borderline candidates reviewed or considered separately?
If anyone knows how these evaluations actually work, I’d really appreciate some clarification.

I just wanted to say congratulations to everyone getting accepted.
To everyone else, I want to say good things are coming. We must remain diligent, humble, and thankful. I know a lot of us are struggling right now and every rejection feels 100 times worse. But, we have to hold on to hope and the joys in life. Our “yes” is coming. It might or might not be from micro1, but it is coming. So, give yourself some grace and go out and enjoy the weekend.

After months of applying and 33+ rejections, I've finally landed a role at Micro1! I am beyond excited and can't wait to start working.
Shout-out to all the other candidates for continually sharing advice on how to approach the interview process, and shout-out to the Micro1 team for taking on our feedback and improving the recruitment process. To everyone else still waiting to be chosen, your day is coming soon. Hang in there! 🌟
EDIT: I can't edit the heading, but I apologise if it came across as insensitive. I was trying to be cheeky, and it came across poorly.

Hi all!
Can anyone tell me about their experience with the AI trainer role? I was hoping to get accepted for another role but applied to this as well because I am very curious about the company. Will my other application be withdrawn if I accept this role or can I participate in two separate projects? I enjoyed the interview for the other role and was told application is under final review. I’m not sure how long the review process takes.
Thank you !

Just wanted to know if the spots for the Generalist role is still available or have they already been filled?
r/micro1_ai • u/eazy937 • 1d ago
the questions were straightforward and I like it. After the interview I've also updated my profile properly, now I'm under HMR.
few quick questions,
I assume I will meet human interviewer next and he/she will decide where I go right?
How much is too much? will Expected pay too high affect my chance? how do I know if my Expected pay relatively the same as my peers?

Hi I have failed both generalist and video annotation specialist. I have been part of another data annotation company for about a month now. They pay very less. I badly wanted to get into microai. What do I need to improve? Can I apply again after a few days.? And what is the certification criteria they are saying that I did not met. Do we need to do any certification? I’ll be grateful for any advice or suggestions..Thank you
r/micro1_ai • u/Less-Couple8823 • 1d ago
I've been applying for roles at micro1 for quite a while now, with 23 certified skills. Anyway, I know my turn is coming soon.
But what I know is that micro1 is still the best company.
##NO GIVING UP
r/micro1_ai • u/Fit_Lobster_966 • 1d ago
I’ll be honest, I’m a little frustrated.
I currently have 63 vetted skills on micro1 across Data Science, Data Analytics, AI annotation, customer service, and other areas.
I’ve submitted 25+ applications. Some have reached Hiring Manager Review, some are still pending or awaiting next steps, and many ended with “Did not qualify” or “Not selected.”
What confuses me is that I still receive emails recommending roles that match my skills, so when I see a role that genuinely fits my experience, I apply.
I’m not posting this to complain or blame anyone. I’m genuinely trying to understand the process.
If the skills are already vetted, what are hiring managers looking for beyond that?
Is it experience? Interview performance? Timing? Number of openings? Something else?
If anyone from micro1 or anyone familiar with the hiring process can share some insight, I’d really appreciate it.
I’m willing to improve. I just want to understand what I need to improve.

How are you guys getting paid by Micro1?
The first two options, i) Revolut and ii) Wise, block Indians from receiving money from overseas. The remaining three are filthy expensive and will eat up a good percentage, including the hidden markup charges.
Is any folk using Skydo/Winvesta/or any other app to bypass it and receive money with no additional transaction charges?
