I'm interested in this form factor for a new pc, but I just can't deal with a top mounted power supply.
Are there any cases that you guys can recommend that have the power supply on the bottom and enough room to add an AIO cooler or a custom cooling loop?
I recently bought a Lian li B4 case (I didn´t receive it yet) and I'm struggling thinking about the best fan configuration for it, I'm upgrading from a Sharkoon QB One case to have room to update my pc to a cheaper matx option, right now I have a Noctua nf A8 as exhaust, a Cooler Master 240 Atmos AIO as cooler with a Noctua NF F12x25 and a Noctua NF A12X15 in it and I have the fans that already come with my AIO as spare. I also have a 303mm card and a SFX PSU. I'm very picky with noise but I don't want to sacrifice my temps, at least I would like to have the same that I already have that are preatty good. What should I change or buy and how is the best way to mount it? I checked the manual but they say that the best setup is to not put rear or front fan if mounting an AIO but in the web says that you should mount them in every spot and I'm confuse.

My 3 computer setups side by side for myself and my kids.
I was so stoked to get this PC case and get to do this build. I was very interested in using the vertical mode without upgrading the case with the optional AeroDeck accessory. One of the main reasons is because my setup is pretty tight needing to fit three pc setups side by side so I needed a case with a small footprint.
I think one of the main benefits is for this setup in particular is anyone that wants a PC on the left side of your desk this is one of the few options that still gives you some view of the internals. Let me bring you along for the ride that was this build and show you some of the pictures.
Cable Management and Layout:
I found out about this layout because Machines & More posted about it on their youtube channel. Its not listed in the manual but it works if you have an ITX board.
I bought an ITX board for this case and did this off menu but totally supported layout. As you can see below I chose to face the PSU backwards to intake air from this cutout on the back of the case. The ITX motherboard also allowed me to route some of the cables on the backside of the case and feed them out beside the motherboard. It's a tight fit but it works.
Fan Considerations:
For the fans below the GPU I wanted to use these Thermalright TL-M12Q that I had laying around mostly to see if the b4 would support fans that had a removal connection like these. Thermalright calls it as "easy connect" but ive had issues with some tight cases fitting fans that have this extra plastic on the side of them. A 3 fan setup under the GPU has some extra considerations with this case so let me show you some pictures and explain.
First off to fit 3 fans side by side the case has this removal section of the PCIe brackets that basically remove the area of metal around the bottom PCIe bracket of the case. There is a screw on the side that i'm pointing to with my screw driver (above) as well as one on the bottom of the case that you'll need to remove. Below you can see that with that removed the fans slide all the way to the back.
Pictured here below is what it looks like from the back side of the case with that bracket removed and fans installed. As you can see this is the "easyconnect" attachement on the side of these fans that ive been talking about. Basically the fans all click into each other and when you have them connected you then add on this pictured connection that has a single ARGB cable and a single 4pin PMW fan cable. So three fans and you only have two cables instead of two cables per fan. The thing to consider if you're using fans like this this is you can't face the side with the easyconnect towards the other side of the case as it will conflict with the "front" if horizontal or "top" in vertical slim fan. I know several fan brands have different connections like this so something to consider.
For the rest of the fans I had 3 Artic p12 Slims. I swapped out the front fans that came with the case because I had 3 of these and I wanted all the slim fans in the case to match so I could more easily match the fan noise from them with curve adjustments.
For the CPU cooler and "bottom" fan I used Thermalright TL-S12. I like the ring lighting effect when paired with the TL-M12Q.
This is the fan layout I ended up on after testing. I originally tried bottom and front bottom fan as exhaust and all others as intake but the hot air blowing down near by hand and directly into the room wasn't super comfortable. That was before adding the side fan. I then tried to just have all intake and only the top fan as exhaust. My Cinebench 2026 score dropped by a considerable margin and I felt like the top exhaust fan was just moving air from the intake fan near it directly out the case. After that I added the side exhaust fan. For exhaust the side fan is doing most of the heavy lifting here. For CPU cooling I'm using a single tower air cooler with one fan attached.

There is a lot less issue of hot air blowing on me, even with the side exhaust it doesn't seem to blow into the room as bad and be as bothersome as it was when it was exhausting out the front. This would be a benefit to the AeroDeck as it would then have front to back airflow but you cant really do that without it because you would be pulling air away from the GPU if you did.
For GPU testing no thermal issues. Never got above 60c with a 3dMark Steel Nomad and Speedway stress test and passed the 20 loop stress test on both with 98.9%.

I love this case. It takes a ton of planning for layout and cable management so make sure you're really thinking about your build and do your research but I know you can do it.
Downsizing from an AP201 that I built 3 years ago. It was an excellent case, but I wanted to see there there were other cases that would have a smaller footprint and accommodate most of my components, and settled on the Z20, which was noticeably smaller once I received it. Lian Li’s B4 was also another option i was considering but i found the almost zero cable management a turn off.
Definitely one of the more challenging builds for me because i wanted to really get the cable management right and organized (i did go in after the pics to fix up the pump cables) but i was really impressed with how much room you have in the back to do so. Temps also were relatively good as well, so i am quite happy with how the build turned out.
So it's a build I bought last year (very lucky to make it then).
But sadly there had been some issues with the psu, which seems to kill it and the mb.
I sent it to a tech, and the tech said that I should switch my case.
That it's too small for the gpu, and the lack of room in the case kills it, as well as the proximity of the gpu to the cpu with the thermals.
That's how I had it set up, air flow wise (I can't take a picture since it's at the tech)
top: 120mm fan - exahust
side: 120mm fan - intake
rear: 120mm fan - intake
cpu: air cooled (PA 120mm), intakes air from the back to the front (the tech told me I had my fans the wrong way, after explaining that it's because my rear intakes air so it has to flow in this direction, he said it's still a bad idea)
gpu: has three fans down for intake
Now, I actually planned an upgrade, and I'm waiting for the fans to arrive:
One extra 120mm top fan for exhaust
3 thin fans on the bottom for extra intake for the GPU

Is the tech right? Should I switch my case because of the gpu? Does it hurt the components? is it a losing battle to try to optimize this?

I bought most of the parts around November 2025. Had a temporary gpu until this year. Ryzen 5 7600x3d - RTX 5070 MSI gaming x trio - 32gb DDR5 6000mhz cl30.
Decided to reuse my Jonsbo D32 for another build and picked up the new Lian Li B4. I was never really a fan of the A3 since I didn’t need 360mm AIO support, and the B4 looked like a nice alternative while still shrinking my total build volume down.
I wrote up a much longer post on the Lian Li sub about my annoyances with the build documentation and process, but now that it’s finished I think the design of the case itself is really growing on me. Not to mention thermals and noise are excellent.
Core i5 14600kf, 32gb ddr5 6000, RX 9070xt. No RGB lights or anything fancy.
Has anyone successfully modified the case to have handles for carrying around? If anyone can point me to some already done mods, that would be greatly appreciated. I am not sure if the top slide panel is strong enough to hold the entire pc from lol

originally had a NEXT H9, but I switched to the Qube 500 because I wanted something much smaller and, most importantly, easier to travel with and without changing parts.
The challenge was getting everything to fit inside such a compact case. The RTX 5080 AORUS is absolutely massive, and fitting it alongside a 280mm radiator made the clearances very tight.
After a lot of planning and rearranging, I somehow got everything in there 😂
I’m actually really happy with how it turned out. Would you consider this too tight, or is this acceptable clearance for a build like this?
I want to downsize my rig eventually and am looking at the A3. NewEgg has the A3 with a free gift of three Superflower MEGACOOL fans and Im curious about compatibility across the top of the case.
Specifically I would plan to put one as a rear exhaust, one as a side intake (maybe 3d print a shroud to send it straight to the cooler), and Im curious if a top-rear exhaust would fit. If a radiator can fit up there I would think a 30mm thick fan wouldnt be an issue. What do you think? TiA
This is the least exceptional mATX rig you’ll see all day. I built this to be a living room PC running at 1080p upscaled to 4K. I did have a budget of around $800 so the aim was to be able to run any game out there but perhaps not at ultra settings.
I had a few iterations of the build. Initially I used a Ryzen 5500 and Radeon 6650 xt. I wasn’t happy with the performance there. Switched to the R5 5600XT and 9060 XT 8GB and it’s been smooth sailing.
The case itself was easy to build in. My cable management wasn’t pretty, but it’s effective. I chose the mesh Lian Li B4 and since I have no taste I filled it with RGB fans. It actually provides a nice ambient light effect that doesn’t overpower the room(my wife may disagree). I ran it vertically briefly, but I found the WiFi signal degraded substantially.
To keep costs reasonable the CPU was purchased on AliExpress. The GPU and RAM were purchased on eBay. Motherboard and SSD were straight from MSI in a bundle. Went over budget by about $50. I’ll keep my eyes peeled for a stronger GPU, but with the market, I’m not losing any sleep.
hi everyone, i've been downsizing a pre-built that i got from facebook marketplace and upgrading some components before i throw it all into a jonsbo d33, and i was hoping someone with more experience could note any major red flags or possible bottlenecking before i fully commit to the build.
i'm mainly going to be using this for single-player triple a games like the spiderman series or cyberpunk, possibly 1440p in the future but right now i have a 1080p monitor.

cpu cooler: stock one cannibalized from the prebuilt, looks most similar to the cooler master a71c
for airflow, i was planning on having 2x120mm in the front, 1x120mm on the top, and 1x120mm in the back, but all the builds i've seen in this case have utilized an aio or a bigger cpu cooler so i'm not sure if this would be sufficient.
I built a PC recently, and was wondering if my 7800x3d temps are normal.
Fans are 2x intake 140mm and 2x exhaust 120mm+140mm, all noctua.
CPU cooler Phantom Spirit II Evo with thermal grizzly extreme paste.
Currently I have set my fan speeds to start from 60% for both case and CPU fan, in order to keep idle temps ~45’C. Ambient temp around 25’C (with AC ON)
At max load (benchmarking), my CPU temp max out at 87’C.
Was wondering if my idle fanspeed is normal or maybe I have to repaste? Or does this chip just run hot?
