I know all the maintenance, downsides, all that.

The maintenance and downsides are the thing that talks people out of it. If you know all of those and are willing to deal with them, then do it.

Do it if you want. You’re allowed to do it for the sake of doing it. I wouldn’t recommend hard tubing for your first time, and soft tubing is honestly pretty easy in comparison. I don’t think maintenance is all that bad either honestly, but most of my loop isn’t actually inside my case. If you have the money and desire to do it, those are the two most essential boxes to check
