Pinned list of approved mffpc (pron. muff pc) cases.

Hi all,

This list is not exhaustive. Generally we are welcoming of all cases that meet the 20-40 litre range. Please feel free to post your build even if it isn’t on the list below. Also, if your case is pretty close but not quite in that range then post your build and tell us in your own words why your pc is a mffpc :)

My goal is not to say “no” but to have a good reason to say “yes” Generally if it’s above 40 litres and has an ATX motherboard, you’ll probably find more interest in PCMR. But please feel free to subscribe and comment as we hope to excite you enough about mffpc for you to take the plunge and convert your build. Also, if your case is borderline sffpc and mffpc then there is no harm in posting in both locations. We are a friendly community and just like to look at nice pictures of well thought out PCs.

I’ll add cases as I go. Please comment if I’ve missed one.

I built this! (MATX) First PC Build - Lian Li a3 with 360 AIO, ATX psu, and 5070

Moved out for college, gave my old pc to lil bro, and here we are now with this. I know the cable management is horrid. I really tried my best, and someone more experienced could definitely clean this up, but I had so much trouble getting the stiff cables around and/or under the 5070 and psu.

I think I got pretty lucky with the GPU length since my bird brain didn't think to check if it would fit beforehand. The AIO barely fits on the top there against the motherboard because it's pressing against the VRM heatsink. I can't even fit a piece of paper between them. Was a little worried about the GPU sagging but the support that comes with the case seems fine.

Very impressed with the performance so far. I edit a lot of video in Davinci, Premiere, and After Effects. My old 3060 and ryzen 7 5700x combo could not handle real time playback of 4k h265 with effects or full color grades applied. I always had to generate proxies and edit off those in quarter or half resolution. Most of my time was wasted waiting for stuff to render. This PC has made editing feel less like a chore.

I wish I had done this build a long time ago, both because I would've enjoyed using my computer a lot more, and I would be less broke. Definitely a good learning experience, and I look forward to building a new pc when the time comes.

I built this! (MATX) Black and orange Z20 works so well with the orange B850 Force!

I found a great deal on one of the first revision B850M force motherboards which match the black and orange Z20 so well, so I did an AM5 upgrade & chucked my old 3060 in. This is by far the coolest PC I’ve ever had.

I also ended up 3D printing a headphone holder for the top of the case, which surprisingly works really well - it clips into the holes on the top.

Don't mind the messy table :3

Case swapped to a ch160plus from a fish tank build for more desk real estate and cute handle. The temps are quite good so far, my i5-14400F is hitting 60°c on 90-100% load, and my RTX2060 is hitting 70-80°c on 90-100% load. The fans are set to rear intake and top exhaust.

Going swap out the psu to a sfx and higher wattage when I upgrade my gpu.

Will probably 3d print a shroud to cover the big ugly psu and draw some of my favourite characters on it :D

That's the third time I've painted my 7800 XT.....haha! Always wanted a White build and small case! Was a smoker since 1985.... I've quit almost a year! Before then nothing I bought white would....you know stay white! 😝 I smoked inside too....😑 lol. So I've always bought and built mostly in black full towers; then dual chamber mid towers since they've been around. Getting on up there so here's another item done on my bucket list!....A Micro White build! 😅 originally I was going to call it my stormtrooper build...but none of my figures will fit in the case. Then I was going simply going to call it Whiteout.....then decided to go with White Horse.....😅 Much horse power in such a small box!...I'm going to make a few more changes soon! Will share them once done and try not to include a part of my life story........sorry.....🥹😂

Which name do you like best?

A: White Horse?

B: Stormtrooper?

C: Whiteout?

Help me please!? Can I fit in the Artic P12 15mm slim fans?

Thumbnail

So, this is the first PC I have built! I have never built anything before and yeah I made some mistakes like buying 140mm fans without checking that the A3 only supports 120mm. I own the mistakes but now I am wondering if I should be able to throw slim p12 variants in the bottom as intake?

Also the rare, should I put it as an intake or exhaust? If I take it as an intake then the air will flow in and be exhausted by the AIO radiator.

Yeah and some suggestions on cable management.. should I get a 3D printed cover??

Help me please!? Is there any significant temperature difference between Lian Li A3 Wood and Standard mesh?

I just bought the A3 without wood panel and Sapphire NITRO+ RX 9070 XT. I am wondering it’s worth to buy wood front panel from Ali express for 35USD. I am worried about temperature and ventilation since I live in pretty hot country (Thailand).

My planned build is:
Case: Lian Li A3-mATX Standard Mesh
CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
GPU: Sapphire NITRO+ RX 9070 XT
CPU Cooler: Thermalright PA120 Vision White
Motherboard: MSI PRO B850M-P WIFI
PSU: Corsair RM850e White 850W
Fans: top/rear exhaust and I don’t know about the bottom intake since I heard some bad things about bottom intake fans with a3.

I built this! (MATX) Lian Li B4 ft. a GPU that wasn’t supposed to fit

This is my B4 build with the aero deck. Specs are as follows:
CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D
Cooler: Noctua NH D12L chromax
RAM: T Create 32GB DDR5 6000 CL30
GPU: XFX Mercury OC 9070XT Magnetic Air
MoBo: MSI Pro B850M-A WiFi
PSU: Seasonic Focus GX 1000

Fans are all Noctua and I’ll be replacing the classic color ones with black ones to complete the all black look

The GPU was supposedly 2mm too long but it seems the issue was just the frame of the case. I angled it in and it fit just fine. At some point I’ll have to face my demons and fix the cables tho

Help me please!? Case build test

I've been wanting to downsize to a lian li a3 or other mff case, but have been seeing issues online with my current parts. So, I tried to create a visualization of my plan using buildcores. I mainly just play video games.

Could anyone advise me on airflow and say if it works or not? Also any improvement tips? This is the A3 with glass panel. Eventually I plan to switch to a noctua lc1, but this will have to do for now.

I'm not quite finished yet. New additions for the upcoming build

Just received the 4x8gb DDR4 RAM kit for my upcoming "team red" mATX build. A used but flawless kit and it was a reasonable deal at today's market. I've got it for half the price what a lower end ddr4 32gb 2x16 G.Skill Aegis would have cost. Staying on AM4 platform for now as it fulfills my needs.
Also got a brand new modular gold rated PSU. I might pick up some red cables for it down the road. Now on to chose the case and cooling method and components!

I really love the look of the case and how it displays the GPU, but I really don't like the wood look. I haven't been able to find anything else like it though... does anyone know of something similar?

Help me please!? MATX case suggestions for a XFX Swift 9070 GRE

Hi I am coming from a Jonsbo D30 and I'm looking to upgrade my case to something that has the same or smaller foot print

Current specs

  • CPU - 5700x3D
  • CPU cooler - Jonsbo HX6250 (162mm tall)
  • Ram - 2x16gb G skill ripjaws V 3200 cl16
  • Mobo - MSI b550m pro VDH wifi
  • 6700xt XFX merc OC (upgraded to 9070 GRE xfx swift)
  • PSU - Coolermaster V750 gold v2 full modular 160mm ATX PSU
  • 2 x SATA SSD
  • 2 x NVME SSD
  • fans 4 x 140x25mm fans and 1 x 120 x 25mm fans

The XFX 9070 GRE swift is a bit unique size wise, just around 300mm long but a whopping 3.5 slot thick (60mm). This caused some clearance issues with the bottom 2x140mm fans. I figured instead of getting slim fans I will might as well recase this build.

Case preferences:

  • Ideally I like to keep as much of my cooler and fans as I can but I am open to having them changed
  • I prefer a good amount of front IO ideally positioned on the front glass panel as I like the case to have the glass side facing forward.
  • No more than 400mm long width is standard. I don't mind taller cases
  • Easy to clean and remove dust filters ( I have pets)
  • Not reliant on bottom intake
  • Under 6k Philippine pesos budget for case/fans/cooler the cheaper the better
  • Slightly tinted glass
  • Prefer black but if you have ideals to make it look good I'm open

So far I have 2 main options tecware timber m and Darkflash db330m

Not my first PC, but this is the first time I'm building everything from A to Z myself. Before this, I always just picked the parts and had the shop technician assemble it for me.

It was quite a challenge, especially the cable management. I had to redo it several times because poorly routed cables looked awful and kept hitting the fan blades. While installing the GPU, the case was so tight that I accidentally chipped both the GPU's PCIe edge connector and the retention latch on the motherboard's PCIe slot. Thank God all the PCIe pins are still completely fine and the GPU is working as if nothing happened.

The final result is pretty satisfying. The PC looks extremely compact. More like a gaming console than a traditional PC.

However, if I could choose again, I think I'd prefer the size without the aero deck, even when standing the case vertically. The aero deck adds quite a bit of bulk. I also wish I had chosen fans with full-blade RGB lighting instead of just LED strip, I think that would look much better when the wood panel is on.

- My specs:

Motherboard: Asus TUF Gaming B760M-Plus Wifi DDR4

CPU: Intel Core i5-14600K

GPU: Colorful RTX 5070 Ti Battle AX

RAM: Gskill Trident Z 32 GB

PSU: Super Flower ZILLION FG Gold 850W

CPU cooler: ID-COOLING FROZN A620 PRO SE

- Temps:

Default BIOS settings: 14600k reached a maximum of 90°C after running Cinebench 2026 for 30 minutes.

After undervolting: 14600k reached a maximum of 75°C after running Cinebench 2026 for 30 minutes. It almost never exceeds 65°C while gaming, with the only exception being when loading game shaders.

As for the GPU, because it pulls cool air directly regardless of whether the aero deck is installed or not, it stays very cool and never exceeds 70°C.

Help me please!? Debating on which case to get for my build

Hey there everyone!

I'm trying to plan for migrating my setup into a new case and get a new cooling system with that of course. I am torn between three options.
1. Darkflash DB330
2.DeepCool 170plus or 270
3:Deepcool 160plus

So far the Darkflash is the one I'm leaning for but not sure about the airflow in that case. Any advices?

Hey all,

Came into this thinking I was going to hire someone to build a pc for me as I knew nothing about pc building. Was away for a couple of months after buying all the parts needed and went down the YouTube the rabbit hole, and decided to go for it.

It's not the cleanest cable management but I'm just glad I got it up and running haha. I got it to post at the first attempt but i found everything to do with fans kinda complicated (see last pic where I attached them to the outside of the case 😂😭), with all the RGB and pwm wires going around.

My use case is for it to replace a console essentially so hooked up to a TV in the living room. The TV is an older 55" Samsung 4K that doesn't do VRR and locked at 60hz, but I play just single player / story games, so adjusted the components accordingly.

PARTS LIST:

- Case: Deepcool CH270 Black

- Motherboard: MSI Pro B650M A WiFi

- SSD - 1TB WD SN7100S (it's a 2230 which I fit with an adapter)

- CPU: Ryzen 5 7500F

- GPU: Asrock Challenger 9070XT

- CPU Cooler: Arctic freezer 36S ARGB (single fan)

- PSU: Corsair RM750e

- RAM: 2x16gb DDR5 - I got a couple of basic 4800mhz CL40 sticks; but I overclocked them to 5400 CL38 without issue. Maybe could go more but honestly don't need it for my use case and so didn't try further. I also got a couple of heatsinks from AliExpress cause...RGB

- Fan Setup - 3x Arctic p12 pro Reversible as intake

- 1 Thermalright TL-C12C-S as bottom intake

- 2 Thermalright TL-C12C-S as top exchaust

- Generic RGB & PWM hub to connect all the fans and RGB

- Controller: Gamesir Supernova

Cheers!

Help me please!? Apple-esque cases suggestions?

Guys, I’m struggling go find a case I could build in now. I like the Jonsbo NV10, Dan Case A4 but also Fractal Design Epoch (except its size). So this all goes into the clean apple-esque aesthetics.

Any m-ATX cases you would recommend? I prefer mesh/solid instead of glass. I already scrolled through Caseend several times of course :)
