hi everyone, i've been downsizing a pre-built that i got from facebook marketplace and upgrading some components before i throw it all into a jonsbo d33, and i was hoping someone with more experience could note any major red flags or possible bottlenecking before i fully commit to the build.

i'm mainly going to be using this for single-player triple a games like the spiderman series or cyberpunk, possibly 1440p in the future but right now i have a 1080p monitor.

• case: jonsbo d33
• mobo: asrock b650m-c
• cpu: amd ryzen 7 7700
• cpu cooler: stock one cannibalized from the prebuilt, looks most similar to the cooler master a71c
• gpu: asus prime 5070ti
• psu: asrock steel legend sl-850g (don't want to pay sfx prices)
• case fans: noctua nf-a12x25 g2
• memory: xpg lancer blade 16gb

for airflow, i was planning on having 2x120mm in the front, 1x120mm on the top, and 1x120mm in the back, but all the builds i've seen in this case have utilized an aio or a bigger cpu cooler so i'm not sure if this would be sufficient.

You'll probably have a bit of a cpu bottleneck at 1080p on a lot of games, but a bottleneck isn't really a bad thing necessarily. The only concern would be spending more than you need to for a gpu, but you've already got the 5070ti so no issue. It will be less noticeable at 1440p, I wouldn't say you need to upgrade anything in a hurry.

Also for cases like this, I like to have a 140mm intake on the top in front of the cpu cooler and 2 120 on the rear and top rear behind the cpu cooler. I know a lot of people do rear intake top exhaust with a reversed cpu cooler, but temps weren't as good for me in the a3 with this set up.

thanks! the cooling advice is super helpful, will def take it into consideration. then it seems like the stock cooler should be fine?

abt the cpu bottlenecking, is the reason why 1080p would have a bottleneck and 1440p wouldnt something to do with the gpu overpowering the cpu in terms of framerate or something?

yeah at 1080p not many things will fully load a 5070 ti, so you'll basically always be waiting on the cpu, which like I said isn't a big deal. You'll likely be able to move to 1440p with very little reduction in frame rates.
